Once Mya had eaten the herb, Hanun picked up a scrap of cloth and took to fanning the dragoness with it. He didn't want her to overheat or pass out or anything.
Rajani peeked out from her hidey hole and nodded to the owl. Emerging fully, she sprinted over to the bucket. "I have an idea!" With that the chupacabra shifted to a form she rarely used, the form of a starved looking feral dog. She shook herself, her patchy fur fluffing slightly around her. With her canid jaws she clasped the handle in her mouth and lifted the bucket up. She trotted quickly to the water and scooped up a bucket full of the cool water of the lake. Rajani turned and carefully made her way back. "Rowen, let them know what we're bringing in. This isn't the time for unexpected surprises."
Valentine picked up on Mimi's behavior and after giving Mya a quick lick to the muzzle, he moved down to get a better view and to help usher their children into the world. His mane fluffed noticably when he first caught sight of the tiny muzzle that had appeared. His demeanor calmed slightly as he gathered a fresh, clean piece of cloth, still partially warm from the sun. Valentine sat on his haunches, freeing his hands up to better handle the infants. Gently taking the youngster in hand, he used a free claw to rupture the membranous sac so he could clear away the baby's nose and mouth so the youngster could start breathing on its own. In time with Mya's pushing, the male would firmly, but carefully, pull at the tiny frame, coaxing it into his waiting hands to clean it and make damned sure that it was breathing and alright. "Mya, my darling, keep it up. You're doing a great job." The first baby came free. Val quickly set to cleaning its face. His eyes practically glowed as the youngster took its first noticable breath, followed by a infantile murmur. "Oh, Mya, would you look at this. Our first born." His voice was practically choked with the extreme pride and happiness that radiated from him. "Keep it up, darling. I know you can do it."

Mya could hardly believe what she was hearing...the tiny cries from just a few feet away gave the young female enough energy to raise her head. A beautiful child with a blaze of blue like a mask across it's young face was squirming slightly in Valentine's grasp as it....no...she cried out. "Valentine....Oh, she's gorgeous...." To keep herself from sitting up took all of Mya's will power yet....the mother instinct rearing up in her heart was forcing the female to go to her child. "Oh my goodness I-Oh no....." With a groan, she again flopped down as more contractions hit her in a wave. This wasn't over...not yet....
Outside, Rowen landed on the perch as the squalling of the child reached his sensitive ears. He chuckled and nodded at Rajani before calling out to Valentine. "Lord Valentine! Rajani and I bring water for the children and Lady Mya...Will you allow us to approach?"

Valentine loosely wrapped the cloth around their little girl and laid her next to Mya so she could touch and interact with their infant daughter. He beamed to him mate, but his face was immediately set in determination as more contractions wracked Mya's form.
The dragon glanced up at the entrance briefly when Rowen called in. "You may approach. Bring some to Mya first. She needs it the most."
Rajani, in spite of the bucket hanging from her mouth, gave a bit of a smile at the first fussing of her Lord and Lady's first born. "A wonderous evening!" Upon receiving permission to enter the canid form chupacabra slowly entered, careful to not spill a drop of the cool water. Her ghostly paws made scarcely a sound as she approached the pair, no, now trio of Painters. She set the bucket down before backing away and sitting next to the entrance.
((Do you want to skip to a point after the remaining five babies are born? ))

For several long hours more, the pain continued and just when it seemed like it would never end...it finally did...Just into the wee hours of the morning as the sun rose and bore witness to the new life that seemed to flow through the beautiful clearing. It would have been silent, had it not been for the crying voices of newborn dragons nesting within the cave. Mya was now resting on her side and upright, both wings tucked close to her body as she beamed down at the squirming children with a tired smile. Exhausting as the birthing had been, it was all worth it...for now, there was..
Not three. Not four...but SIX hatchlings resting between the warm embrace of their parents. Mya could not remember the time she had felt such joy before this! Reaching out, she rubbed her head against Valentine's warm scales. "We did well, love..." Her voice was reduced to a tired whisper. "Six beautiful children, to raise and love for many years to come...."
Rowen was perched off to the side on a stone self. He, too, was beaming with a great deal of pride. His feeling were cut short when the bushes outside rustled and a sharp rambling voice cut through the air. The voice seemed to speak without taking a single breath of air: "Ec drec dra bmyla?! Ec ed?! Ec ed?! Ec ed?!" A lower voice cut off the first one, this one more mental than physical words. "Calm yourself my friend...You will get to see him, in time. You just need to learn the art of waiting..." The first voice grumbled unhappily but fell silent. Rowen bowed to the couple before flying outside just to see who their visitors were...

The battle scarred male had worked tirelessly as each of their six hatchlings were ushered into the world. He had cleaned them, made sure they were breathing, and gently wrapped them in various bits of clean, soft fabric to tuck them against their mother. Once they were all settled against their mother, Valentine cleared away any soiled fabric then laid down in a curve that mirrored Mya's. Having settled down he could feel the rush of adrenaline fade, leaving him pleasantly tired and glowing with pride that he and his mate delivered six healthy youngsters. He scooted closer to her that way both of them acted as a nest for their children and he would be able to better check her over.
He gave her a warm, tender, tired smile, the faintest glint of happy tears touching the corners of his vibrant green eyes. Valentine rubbed his cheek against hers, delicately tracing her jaw with one of his white toes. "Aye, we did. They're all perfect." His heart was practically bursting with pride at how well his and Mya's colors and patterns blended in their six children. Five sons and a daughter. It was far more than he could have ever hoped for. "I look forward to watching them grow into the amazing adults I know that they will be." Valentine was just so sleepy that he hardly registered Rowen's bow, but gave the owl a little nod in return.
Hanun lay sprawled on Valentine's side, half hidden by a loosely folded wing, having exhausted himself with his helping out in the delievery.
Rajani, being a creature of the night, was easily stirred by the voices outside of the cave, particularly since she had stationed herself at the entrance. She was still in her dog form. The chupacabra rose to her feet and moved out onto the landing so she wouldn't disturb the exhausted painters inside. "Rowen, you hear this right? What could it be?" Her hackles were raised as she sniffed the air, her still deep red eyes scanning the clearing as the sun slowly rose in the sky.

Mya smiled, the same tears glinting at the corners of her eyes as she returned the gesture of love and affection that Valentine so willingly offered. Indeed, the children were a gift from the spirits that watched over them. "They will love long and happy lives, they will be strong and proud, gentle and caring..." Smiling happily as she trailed off, Mya glanced back at her mate and licked him across the jaw before nestling down for sleep. "Join us, love. You look ready to fall over, we will admire our children more after a full nights rest."
Mimi was out cold like Hanun was, her energy stretched to it's limits. She, too, laid hidden by a half-folded wing while the flame upon her back was reduced to a small flicker.
Outside, Rowen stared at their two guests that sat before the chupacabra and himself. Watching them with a steady gaze was a large Coyote with colorings similar to those of one of the hatchlings while a Vibrant Mimicgryph eagarly glanced left and right from it's perch on the Canine's shoulder.
"Please forgive our sudden visit but my friend and I are travelers, looking for a place to rest out weary bodies." The Coyote blinked at the two familiars. "We have heard this was a safe place and have come far to see with our own eyes...With your permission, both Ola and I would like to spend the night here." The bird creature on his shoulder chirped to second the canine's statement.
Rowen stared at the two for a moment before turning his gaze towards the shadow familiar below him. "What do you think, Rajani? They don't seem like they want anything else..."

"Of that I have no doubt, my love." Valentine was just about ready to fall over. His short nap before their children's delivery had long worn off. "I can't agree more." The male nestled down next to his mate, using his tail to curl around her and their youngsters. He was thrilled to feel their tiny bodies squirming against his tail as they too were resting for the time being, as no doubt they had to be tired from their entry into the world as their parents were.
Rajani narrowed her eyes as she listened to the Coyote's reason for being there. The pair did look rather road weary and should either of them act up she was a fair hand at combat. "Well, Rowen, they do look tired, but I'm hesitant to let them past the entrance what with our Lord and Lady being rightfully exhausted and six newborns in there. We can let them rest, but I'm going to be keeping a keen eye on them for the time being." The canid form chupacabra lowered her hackles and simply sat in her place, looking quite like a somewhat sickly, starved trained guard dog than a chupacabra at present. "Alright. You two can rest here, but what with our masters indisposed, I'd highly recommend staying quiet. Out of sight, out of mind."
