No Words

There are no words for this. For this there are no words.
The vaguest image yet portrayed
Life defies all description and death all comprehension
Birth is the greatest joy, but for those born dead
What is it but damnation?
The world spins on silver lines, which web us all together
To which the tapestry of life confines
Woven with threads cut short the patterns weave is broken
Fate looms up with gaping holes, destiny misspoken.
Beauty is compromised by those who do not see it,
Green fades, color fades, inspiration drowns in black and browns.
Black sludge runs through the world’s veins and black gold is the currency
Lives for pennies as conflict reigns
Lust dictates all
Lust for control, for power, for immortality
Black greased hands strangle freedom in its infancy
So to prop a changeling in its place
Choices made, deeds done, mistakes not admitted
All boil under a blood red sun
The heat wave from a thousand fears
Melts the ice from a million tears
The water levels rising yet the world keeps on fighting

This is an old one written about 2 1/2 years ago. I'd be interested in what people pull out of it.

Sounds like a certain negatively-overwhelmed-about-the-world feeling. Told a teacher about that feeling years ago, and he said to stop and smell the roses, that there are good things in life. Go teacher!

It feels easy to understand, yet like there's something just out of reach. Ow. I like the wording of it a lot.
