My college is starting a Japanese and Pop culture class! Apparently it is going to be done by the same professor that taught the Japanese film class who is AMAZING!

We are going to look at Japanese fashion, culture and commercials and advertising - not to mention food and things of that nature.

I don't even mind that it is on a Friday! I am so excited~!

Is it being held by the same professor that you're always telling me about? The same one who teaches the Japanese here? If thats the case, then are you sure that you want to go? She sounds really mean..

They had a class like that at my school. Everyone had to take a Cultures class. I wound up stuck with South Africa. That was all about how horrible life in Rwanda is. It was the most painfully boring semester I've ever had. I heard some really cool things about the Japanese one though. I hope you get the chance to take it. I'm pretty sad I missed out.

That's so awesome! heart I hope the college I go to will have that class, too. Now, though, I would just be happy if we had a Japanese language class... which of course we don't.. I don't get to have one in high school either! crying

It's a shame nothing like that exists in my immediate area... and college seems too far away... even if I am a senior next year!
