Well, his picks are pretty light considering he plays bass, but I'd still say they're bass picks.
And actually, guitar picks don't take much effort at all. They're pretty simple. I did one in about 10 mins while at the same time getting ready for Homecoming (which my friends convinced me to go to). (It was a Fender medium, but I still did it while doing other things at the time, so that was pretty good considering that Mike's pick took me over an hour with complete concentration eek ').

No, bass picks are made of hard plastic and are usualy over 1mm thick. I have a bunch 3nodding
Hmm, now that I look at it, you're right. ^_^ I was just using a 1mm dunlop tortex the other day because another guitarist in my school's jazz band likes heavy picks, and this doesn't really compare to that. And that's not even hard plastic. sweatdrop (That same guitarist has a hard plastic one that's about 1.2mm I think that he nicknamed "Stubby").
Right now I'm really using my fingers for bass, but guitar picks seem to work fine. And Mike isn't the only player who uses 'em (Nathan East also uses a pick about the same gague). I should pick up a bass pick and try it out though.
