You know how people on the forums are. All impatient about when an update will come out. Back when BTS was around, you'd see it a lot in FU. Then they get all pissy because it isn't what they expect. Which was part of the reason why BTS was removed. To hopefully take off some of the pressure of meeting set deadlines that people are expecting.
Well, go look now, expecially in RU. So many people whining that if they don't get an update soon they'll quit.
I wonder how many of these people have actually done everything there is to do in RS. You know, cause if that's the case. Then ok. I can see why you'd be impatient. I mean, if you've done everything, then by all means quit... At least for a while... You know, so that Jagex can catch up to your elite no-lifeness. Oh, but that's not enough. For you to actually be fit for this category, you'd have to have never used things like a walk through for a quest. You know, taking all of the actual work out of such things. Not including small things you know, things that you could easily ask a friend to point you in the right direction.
Although, having the BTS is nice, I think it is better to keep it gone. At least how it was. If they were to bring it back, or something like it. They should have it as a riddle format. You know, like the CE letters. Have puzzles hinting at future updates... For the month and beyond. The hints would be easier to solve the closer the update in question was to being completed. That way people will have stuff to look forward to, while keeping people busy. Sure the idiots out there will probably ask stupid questions not understanding the concept, but at least that'll be more people to point and laugh at.

Same thought exactly on this subject, I have thought about this for a while and even read about he complaints on the FU. I know I am one to complaint because i am so used to BTS and with it gone i feel left out in a way. And some of the complaints are right, how are we suppose to have conversations about future updates if there is nothing to talk about without BTS.
I haven't done everything in runescape such as tried out soul wars, got every skill to lvl 99 which i am totally cool with that I can wait for a long time to try out those before a new updates comes along but just seeing an update to the game via graphic wise in some areas (which we seen in the leprechaun) that would make me happy.
I know that Jagex release information about stuff in the BTS and haven't released it, which is fine. It is better to have the glitches, bugs, and everything fully operational before sending out to the public even if it is something i didn't expect. I know that not everyone will be satisfied but in the long run they will accept it.

I remember when I started there was no BTS wink
However, quests, updates, and the lot were released roughly every week to every 2 weeks, depending on the size. I'm not saying "Oh, s**t, this sucks a**!!! There's no update!!! They're using the removal of BTS to be lazy a** holes and no release anything!!!". I've already been there to be honest, and I thought about it.
Personally, I look forward to updates now. With BTS, I was like "Eh, that's not that good... Well, here's to next month!" Instead it's like, "Hmmm, no update yet. I wonder when and what the update is :O!?"
So personally I agree in some respects and what not. Here's to the element of surprise *holds up a keg*

Hey, although lately they have been slacking with their announcements on RS....
You still have to respect Jagex for how frequently updated this game is. It's not everywhere that you find new content every 2 weeks or so for online games. So really, I don't mind the wait.
But really, I would still like my BTS back. gonk

Just think, Air, later this year you may get access to forums even at f2p cause you're a high level ;P
So you can tell off people ;D

Just saying x.x ~Hampy <3 lol true. most high lvl f2ps know how to use the ge. instead of begging for items in banks. i can only see them using the threads for talking in off-topic while they do the skills f2ps do.

OK, I've been playing for a while, but what is BTS? Call me dumb if you want...
About the updates, I have noticed that the homepage isn't updated as frequently as it used to be. They still have plenty of updates, but stuff like the article of the week isn't updated weekly, for example. I also think they should have polls a bit more frequently.
