One more salve, if she had to make just one more salve her hand would fall off. Shaking the sore appendage, the young woman blew out an annoyed breath and stepped into the sun. It was good to get away from the Healer's cozy little hole for a little while and remember the sun. Her whole life had been out in it until recently.

Blinking her green hazel eyes, she scanned the rocks looking for a tiny blue flit. Keek was out here somewhere, at least she was sure he was. If she was lucky, there would be any color but a Bronze dragon out here. From the moment she decided to be a Healer, she wanted to work on dragons. Having never actually touched one, the task seemed both a breeze and terrifying. She had to get used to the impressive beasts, best chance was to find one that is well fed and calm with the heat.

"YOU BLASTED FIRELIZARDS. IF YOU DO NOT GET YOUR SORRY HIDES BACK HERE IN-"

Cloud and Song blinked between, leaving the furious greenrider in the Bowl without the sweetrolls he had saved for lunch. No, it wasn't good for him, and no, Ialluth did not approve of such a pathetic meal, but if saving snacks for later meant F'sey did not have to deal with the hustle and bustle of the dining hall while the kitchen was serving proper meals. Besides, he'd much rather bask in the nice weather while Ialluth helped herself to a herd beast or two.

"Honestly, I do not understand why anyone thought I'd appreciate those sharding creatures as a gift," he snarled under his breath, pacing along the rocks as he tried to find himself a nice place to sun. The dragons knew what they were doing, when they found a nice sandy spot to sprawl out and nap for a while.

You are the one who accepted the second one, Mine.

Shut up, Ialluth, no one asked you. F'sey sighed and shook his head. His dragon just had an opinion about everything, didn't she?

"Would it be so much to ask to find a decent place to nap around here?"

(( OOC: I wasn't exactly sure where you had put the setting, so I hope this is oaky. xD;; ))

Its hard to miss a man bellowing, especially when you are close enough to see him doing it. Lips up curved, Raena laughed softly. Firelizards are a pain sometimes, but her little Keek was mostly a great little companion.

Approaching, the Green was too hard to resist not even trying to get to meet her, she answered the man's question, "Not for a dragon, at least." The dragons seemed comfortable out here; this was their element while the weyr was the human's. Raither the end speaking with a tease to a man she didn't know, she mentioned, "The stunning green looks very comfortable, are you the one she looks to?" There was a good dragon's tail length between her and the green; she didn't know the dragon's temper. With her heart beating pretty strongly, she was more worried about angering the dragon that could burn her head off, then the rider.

Ialluth hardly cracked an eye open, far too content with her belly full and her skin being warmed by the sun. She had found a nice, large rock far enough away from the herd beasts and if her rider would just ask nicely, she would be more than happy to share her spot with him. She was, after all, the generous type, but judging from the tone of F'sey's voice, the man would not be napping soon, no matter how much he insisted he wanted to.

The visitor, of course, ensured that.

F'sey scowled at the young woman, tossing his head as he fought back a snarl. Obviously, it wasn't hard for a dragon. And, how could she ask such a silly question. "Of course Ialluth is mine!" he exclaimed, mildly put out by the very idea of someone else having bonded with his lovely dragon. "What's it to you?" he barked, folding his arms over his chest as he turned to get a good look at the youth. He set his jaw and scowled as he gave the young woman a once over; she wasn't a dragonrider, Ialluth would have told him so, so what in Pern's name did she want from him?

Men, over grown babies! Honestly, you'd think she asked him if he wanted a meatroll or piece of werry meat when he came in to eat. Pointless was obviously a human concept to these felines in human skin. No matter, she was used to dragon riders being full of fire gas. "Ialluth you say? What a wonderful name she has, so lyrical and no doubt speaking to how graceful she is." When dealing with a man, she found to strategies, play on their pride, or burse it. She'd get a bad reputation if she scared up every male dragon rider she met so the other would do.

Still focused on the Green, she spoke again, "I am a Healers apprentice, but my goal is to be a dragon healer. There is no better task then healing the Great Defenders of pern, besides being blessed with one as a bonded." The words still sounded strange to her, given she grew up in the Hold nearby where there were many detractors who believed Thread never fell, or would never fall again.

Dragons were said to know things about people, if that were true, then saying she wasn't a rider would be over stating the obvious. With this man's temper, that was better avoided, "I wondered if I might be allowed to touch her. I don't want to bother her, but I can't help marvel at how beautiful she is. It would be a wonderful chance to learn a little bit about dragons, and her. I have a firelizard, but there is no comparison, I understand." Keek was cute and loveable, but sometimes it seemed canines had more sense.

There was so much she'd never be able to understand about dragons should she never bond with one. However, there were thing she could learn if their riders were pretending to be civil.

F'sey snorted. "Yes, that's what I said. Are you deaf," he retorted, baring his teeth a little. If she was going to ask a question, she should really listen to his answer. "And I highly doubt the flopping little hatchling had any notion of how graceful she may or may not be when she grew up." The greenrider shook his head and rolled his eyes. What was she playing at anyways, being so polite?

F'sey narrowed his eyes, folding his hands over his chest as he turned a shoulder to the young woman. "I didn't ask for your life story," he grunted. "And no. Don't touch her. She's sleeping."

I am not. The dragon opened an eye and regarded her rider. Your temper makes it hard to enjoy the sun, especially when you are yelling at the little ones.

F'sey gave his partner a dirty look before turning his attention back to Raena. "You see? You woke her up."

Oh, boy, who put a tunnelsnake in his bed? Eyes narrowing a little, she had been pushed too far. Maybe a quip could cool his feet a little, "And I didn't give it, if I had you would have been board to sleep." The key was not to enrage the rider too much, and work on that self control. There was on victory, her hands weren't on her hips and she wasn't staring him down. Mostly, she was watching the dragon, she was observing every moment of the dragon.

Being told not to touch the dragon was one order she would listen to, she didn't want to upset the dragon or disturb her.

Still not looking to the rider, she responded "Really, its remarkable that I could wake her with my softer voice. You have great hearing, Lalluth." While not to blame the dragon, transfering attention on the dragon could help calm down the fuse.

F'sey didn't notice, or perhaps didn't care, as Raena's body language changed slightly as she grew increasingly irritated with his abrasive behavior. "Dragons are just remarkable creatures," the greenrider sniffed, feeling no need to correct Raena's ideas on why Ialluth was actually awake. He was ready to walk away and leave, but unfortunately, Ialluth was not done with the pleasant weather and he couldn't just leave her by herself, not with this girl.

Tell her thank you, Mine.

No.

Ialluth rumbled softly and lifted her head, giving F'sey a stern look. There was a compliment. I am grateful.

F'sey rolled his eyes and continued to look completely disgruntled. "Ialluth says thank you for the compliment, but she really rather wishes you would leave her alone."

Mine! That's not what I said!

At least she could agree with him on something, dragons are amazing. Wide eyed, she looked the dragon over, observing everything she could. The man was harder to deal with than a tunnelsnake; she needed to take any chance she could to observe what she may one day need to heal.

The graceful slight movements of the muscles that allowed the powerful neck of the green when she raised her neck, so strong and lovely. Marveling, she almost didn't hear the rider being a heel. Crest-fallen, she doubted the rider but had no proof. What she wouldn't give to be able to hear the lovely Green. Too bad flits can't work on the same level or Keek could tell her if she was really annoying the green or not. But the eyes, she had nearly forgotten the eyes!

Now watching the eyes of the lovely green she commented, "Your welcome, Ialluth. I don't want bother her much long. I just have one more question, thats it." She wasn't stupid or slow witted, time so see of her observation of flits was close enough to dragons that she can understand Ialluth without depending on a grumpy undependable rider. "Is it true that their eyes change with their mood, a blue and green meaning happy and content while a red or orange would be anger or hunger? Gray is pain, correct?" If the eyes were the same, it would be wonderful. Short of looking at the wing, she could infer enough on her own until she found a less prickly rider with just a lovely dragon.

F'sey eyed Raena and, after a moment of thought, decided not the grace her with an answer. The girl honestly thought she was going to be a healer? She couldn't even read the greenrider's basic 'leave me alone!' body language, instead pushing him until he was ready to snap. He was doing her best not to verbally abuse her, but really. Enough was enough. Even Ialluth knew better than to push that far. (There were other ways of getting things, beyond forcing someone. Much more reasonable ways.)

I think she was talking to you, Mine.

She is. I'm ignoring her. Maybe she will go away.

Ialluth huffed and shuffled her wings, settling back down as she tried to get comfortable again. You are absolutely impossible.

F'sey snorted, but he didn't disagree. Ialluth was positively correct; F'sey of Ista Weyr was absoutely, totally and completely impossible.

There was no 'leave me, human!' vibe from Ialluth, but the rider was more then she could tolerate. Speaking softly to the only being that was even paying her any attention, she commented, "I wish I could understand you, magnificent Ialluth. I will one day, and know enough to make any hurt go away. Rest well, and it was an honor to meet you, Ialluth." The rider was insufferable, in protest to his offensive behavior, she completely ignored him.

Turning, she started to walk off, giving one last longing look at the Green. There was so much she could have learned, so much that could have been gained from a little cooperation.
