Today, my friend went to buy a copy of Repo after borrowing mine only to find out that Repo! The Genetic Opera has been taken off the shelves.
EVERYWHERE.
She believes that a fanatical religious group decided that Repo! Went against some religious lifeisprescious thing and has taken it off the shelves.
Discuss:
What you would do if Repo was taken off the shelves in your town
Could this be true? Or were they all just sold out?
(Keep in mind....I live in a pretty damn small town about 40 miles outside of Chicago. Not many people have even HEARD of Repo here....)

I really don't think it's that ^^; buuuut what I'm pretty sure is that the stores ran out of stock because of the small amount that were ordered? i dunno. DX
But anyways, it's available online!

 hmmm... i'd go on a rampage if that happened....
who said that it had been taken off the shelves??...
but the hot topic on my place finally got it in stock...
just bought it today!! woohoo!!

If that was the case then more than just Repo! would be pulled off the shelves. sweatdrop
They are just going out of stock. I saw five copies of the DVD at my local Walmart on Saturday.

One of the Hot Topics down here only has the movie, but another has the CD and t-shirts as well. I don't think it's being pulled off shelves...just that the stores are being stocked weird.

I agree with everyone else; it's most likely sold out. I'm positive that if Repo were being deliberately taken off shelves for any reason, we'd have heard an outburst from the fandom and/or DLB by now.

I didn't see any Repo! DVD's in Wal-mart today. Which made me sad, since I couldn't find them. The stocking is always funny, though. >-<
I would be depressed and do something regretful if Repo was taken off shelves everywhere. D:

There are many more movies that religious fanatics could be going crazy over, and I don't think they'd target Repo, especially because it's not that widely known. The Hot Topic where I live doesn't have any Repo stuff. I shook my fist at the sky in the middle of the store and people gave me weird looks. sweatdrop
