The two men seemed to be opposite ends of the spectrum and Inge was admittedly a little taken aback. One, who'd introduced himself as Lan, was theatrical in his mannerisms - with wide hand gestures and comical movements of the eyes, making slightly over the top expressions; so much so that Inge had trouble keeping a smile from forming on his face. The man also appeared to be quite the tease and Inge flushed with embarrassment when he commented on the younger boy's question with mock scorn about how it was rude to ask things without introductions.. However, the other man did indeed seem to fit the description given to him by Lan. The 'uptight businessman' was wearing a suit fitting to the businessman part of Lan's tease plus Milo seemed much more reserved than his over the top companion. Perhaps that what the flamboyant man had meant by the uptight comment? Then again, surely most people would be considered reserved when compared to Lan...
To the boy Inge gave an apologetic glance before nodding, "yes, I do live around here." He smiled and pointed at the crowds in the general direction of the docks - he had to think about it slightly, the whole town seemed to have changed during the festival and the cacophony of bright colours and noise dazzled the teen. "Down at the docks, my father and I are fishermen."
He shifted wearily as he responded to Lan, careful now not to give the man any ammo to tease him with; being mocked by a random stranger wouldn't be the highlight of his day. "Inge Lekan," he replied, before nodding at Lan's offer of petting, "so long as that's ok with you?" He hesitantly put out his hand and patted the creature nestled in the man's hair. It's fur was amazingly soft to the touch and he grinned sheepishly as he tickled the creature under it's chin. He had half expected it to be a bit like the mice that occasionally skittered around the docks. They were certainly not this adorable and he was sure their salt encrusted fur could never be this pleasant to the touch. It was almost a shame that neither of them knew what exactly the animals were... Although the fact that they were being given away as a game prize did make his expression lighten into an interested smile, perhaps he could find said stall later and try to aquire one for himself? ((Then again, he was sure if he took one home his father would object to keeping it, it was tricky enough as it was hiding the bottle and it's effects from him!! Right now the bottle was resting in the bottom of his rucksack, safely stowed away out of sight.)) "Has it got a name?" He inquired as he withdrew his hand, crossing his arms contently over his chest.

Lans sky blue eyes glittered with entertainment as the creature on his head made its own distinct sort of mewing sound in return to the one on Milos shoulder. He hummed a bit in thought, wondering if these little creatures had been brought in from the mainland, or somewhere far and distant from the floating city of Amies. He grinned a bit at the other mans sigh of defeat, but wasn't about to give up his new found prize just yet. The glasses were entertaining, and Lan liked seeing Milo without them. Why in the world would he give them back just as he was getting started? Feeling a light punch to his back as he delivered his lines to the younger male, Lan couldn't help but snicker a bit and flicker his eyes over to Milo. "Its true though, yeah?" He said light heartedly before turning back to Inge and humming in thought. He spared a glance over at Krinn, who looked kind of lost in a slight hush of a daze, as if something was stirring but the boy couldn't quite place what. Lan wasn't about to launch into any questions - the poor kid would just get embarrassed, more so then usual at least. Listening to Milo's own answer to the question, Lan cocked his head to the side a bit with a sultry grin and a slight surprised look on his face. "You played a game?" He asked the other teasingly, even though it sounded to have an honest amount of curiosity in it. The chef only really asked because he had never pinned the other for someone who enjoyed playing games.
Krinn nodded a bit slowly when the fisherman introduced himself. Down at the docks? That sounded interesting. He had only ever watched a few people fish, but never really found an interest in it himself. However, the other looked pretty knowledgeable. Perhaps Krinn could ask him some things when the time was right. However, there was still something there that was nagging at him, and he couldn't figure out what. It had been awhile since he had last felt this way, but that was when he had met up with another dust. It couldn't have been that, could it? The boy wasn't carrying a bottle with him - unless it was hidden somewhere. And no dust child was around - or at least he couldn't see any. And it would have made sense that the feeling would have been stronger, had that happened. "Eh, the docks? Thats really interesting." Krinn said finally, smiling at the other. His sheepishness had disappeared into the confidence that was usually sealed underneath the usual shy nature of the other. "I've only been down there a few times." He mused, clutching his hands together behind his back as Lan looked up and began to speak again. He went back to his thoughts too, wondering if they were ever going to stop looking like shady people in between two stalls.
Cocking his head to the side as the other muttered something, Lan straightened up a bit once Inge was done petting the creature on his head, which purred in content even though its shy features still held through. Lan hummed in thought and decided that he would let Krinn play with the little animal after it was done clutching to his head. Nudging Milo playfully in the side, knowing the other man was probably doing something along the lines of regretting being here, He turned and grinned at the businessman, flashing his eyes in a slip of amusement. "I know." He said with a slight airy laugh, the breeze filtering through his hair and knocking strands around his face. The gold and black glittered like sparklers in the sunlight. Lan pondered whether or not there would be fireworks that night, but decided not to think too much and spoil the surprised that lay in wait. "I just wanted to say your name again." He said as if there wasn't anything surprising about the comment before turning his eyes to Inge, watching the other carefully as he introduced himself.
Lifting his eyebrows a bit at the name, Lan looked Inge over once more, committing to memory the information he had just learned. Smiling a bit, he crossed a hand over his chest and dipped a small bow - his old carnival qualities returning during the festival and its curious events. The entire feel of the thing simply made him nostalgic of the performances he had once put on with his caravan, and the bow he dipped resembled something so similar to the way he ended his acrobatics with the others. A hum left his throat as he straightened up again, and grinned. "A pleasure to meet you, Inge. Having fun at the festival so far?" He said, tasting the name for the first time. It felt foreign on his lips, but interesting all the same. Instead of holding the same comfort that Milos name did, it held an exotic sort of taste that Lan would need to get used to.
As the other asked whether or not the creature hanging onto Lans head had a name, Lan glanced up and pondered this for a moment. As the small thing had only appeared on him a moment ago, he hadn't really thought of names yet. Bringing his eyes across to Krinn, he cocked an eyebrow. "Mm... not yet. I'm sure we can fix that though. Any ideas?" He asked, directing the last part to the dust child, nudging him a bit. Shrugging his shoulders up and down, Krinn glanced over at Lan. "Whats that name you use whenever you greet cute people?" Krinn asked, knocking into a Lan a bit in a subtle form of revenge. "Ehm... Milo?" Lan joked, lifting his eyes a bit. Krinn frowned a bit at him and Lan raised his hands in defense, then thought about it. "It started with an 'm'...." Krinn explained, trying to think of the name once more. Lan simply hit a fist to his open palm as if a light bulb had gone off in his head. "Ah, Mon Chéri?" He said, and smiled, thinking the name was cute already. "Mhm. How about that?" With a grin, Lan nodded and reached up, patting the cat-things head with a small look of entertainment on his head. Turning back to Inge, Lan smiled and nodded a bit. "Mon Chéri it is then." He said to the boy, smiling a bit, and wondering just what this young boys story was - and why Krinn was still going in and out of his small dazes since the other had shown up.

Ever since he'd read that note, Marijus had been trying his best not to panic, trying his hardest to look far and wide for the missing dust of pestilence. Alas no of his search methods have managed to bring any evidence of his whereabouts to light. Still he contined on, walking every day door to door, venue to venue, even checking the forest of which the young dust loved to play. His strange familiar Femka had been left behind, the only indication of his possible return but even she was worried for the child.
The doctor's search had some how inadvertedly brought him to the Aimes Spring festival. Most in hopes the child would not be able to miss his first chance at a festival. He had talked about it many times in the past but with him gone it seemed like Marijus would have to enjoy the event alone. Would Cadaver ever return home? Why had he left in the first place? So many questions and not enough answers. It was only by the sudden squeak from Femka that Marijus attention was brought to the attention of those around him. It seemed like such a waste to be here if he weren't going to enjoy himself.
So many times in the past he had talked himself into being rid of the child but to no avail. Now that Cada was actually gone, he couldn't help admit to himself he had grown to love the child as his own, however, strange the boy was. "Least'n Mr. Happy is with'em." He thought criptically. Even now he still carried that beat up old toy from the girl. As he walked on in silence he looked about noting all the booths filled with excited patrons playing games, purchasing souvenirs, and shop owners calling out to the waiting public. It was exciting but no of it had a grand effect for the doctor. He noticed a few people ahead of him but was on his way to passing them when he noticed the one Lan he'd met some time before. Cadaver had been playing with his dust child and their cat last he recalled... maybe the boy had gone to them.. maybe they'd seen him.
"Umm.. pardon neh." Marijus cut in, he hated to seem rude.. well no he was often rude but now was an improtant time, giving each a curt bow he turned to Lan the most a worried and hopeful expression to his features. "Haven'ya by chance seen mah boy Cadaver 'round dese parts in de last week'n so?" By the gods he hoped the man had seen him, it would take a load off his shoulders to know that at least the boy was alive and well.

Lan blinked at the new addition. He was about to grin and smile, but something caught him. Something in the way Marijus was talking. He wasn't well acquainted with the other - he had barely really talked to him even the first time they had met. But he had toted around Cada, a boy who Krinn had taken an instant liking to. A c**k of the eyebrow raised, but he stepped forward and dipped into a low bow, one hand over his stomach, the other extended behind him like a magician. When he straightened up, he eyed Marijus again and cocked an eyebrow for a moment. The man looked the same. Same height, same accent - though much easier to make out now that he was used to it. Lan let a flirtatious smile fall onto his lips. He had missed the other man for some reason - probably since like Mia, he was the first person Lan had met with another dust child. But then s**t, he saw it. That look. The worry, and the hope when he asked the question. Biting his tongue, Lan remembered formalities quickly. "Marijus, was it?" He cocked an eyebrow and put his hands on his now exposed hips, the tank top having ridden up a bit. The glasses on his nose slid down a little as Lan tilted his head forward, glancing at the other for a moment with a curious expression. Mon Cheri tilted forward on the others head, shyly peaking out at Marijus for a moment, a mewl escaping her throat.
One that soon turned to concern and guilt.
"Cadaver? Nah, I haven't. Why? Have you lost him?" Lan straightened himself up and realized with a slight irritation that he was shorter then both Marijus and Milo. Not by much, but still enough for him to feel... well, short. He'd have to make a note to make himself feel taller by standing next to Krinn later. Though that was the least of his concerns. He hated the feeling of letting Marijus down. He hadn't seen Cada at all, and the look on Marijus's face was enough to make him feel horribly guilty that he couldn't do more. "He didn't run away, did he?" Lan looked teasing for a moment. "That doesn't sound like Cada at all..." Lan crossed his arms and cocked his head to the side as Krinn sidled up beside him, glancing Marijus over for a moment. "Though, I've only met him once, so I guess I dont know that much about him. Sorry though... I can keep an eye out. But I haven't seem him at all since you guys were at the cafe." Lan looked apologetic for a moment, subconsciously bringing two fingers to the glasses and pushing them up again with a slight grin. Bringing up one of his hands, he waved it around in a 'dont worry, I'm sure its just a child thing - even I ran away as a kid once' kind of gesture. But his features were still absolutely concerned. A dust on its own? Cada on his own? That would be bad - that would be really bad, with all of the dangers out in the world.
Glancing up at the older doctor, Krinn leaned a bit into Lan for a second before snapping back to his own two feet and putting his hands on his hips and tilting one shoulder up. "He's not with you...?" He said in a soft disappointed tone. Krinn looked troubled for a moment, wondering just where Cada had gone. Had he left? Gotten lost? Run away? From the look on Marijus's face, he had no idea, and neither did Lan. Krinn glanced between the two for a moment before sucking in a breath and crossing his arms. "So, he's disappeared? Thats horrible." He asked, assuming that was the case if Marijus was asking them about it. Lan cocked a brow at the boys skeptical glance and nudged him in the side for a moment before jutting forward and looping arms with Marijus with a slight smile. Mon Cheri, now able to get a closer look, poked her head out and nuzzled the others cheek by stretching up, then looked a bit pleased and slunk back down onto Lans head, another contented mew escaping her throat. "Well, why dont you join us for a bit? Maybe Cada will show up here at the Festival? He seems like a kid who would enjoy this kind of thing... Anyways, I wouldn't mind helping you look for him if he's disappeared." Lan grinned at Marijus for a moment before remembering the other two. "Ah, by the way... This is Milo. And thats Inge - in case you guys have never met before." Lan shrugged nonchalantly.
Then he realized that they were all still looking like shady mobsters hiding in between stalls.
With a slight frown, he turned on his heels and looped his other free arm with Milo, lightly tugging him forward. With a triumphant smile on his face, the chef shrugged both shoulders up. "Not that I dont enjoy talking with all of you, but it'd be nice if we got out of this hiding spot before people start to think we look like shady criminals on the run." He flickered his mischievous eyes over to Milo for a second. "Though some of us might have contracted that title already." Turning his eyes back, he loosened his grip enough so either Marijus or Milo could pull out if they wanted and nodded to Inge with a grin that said "lets go enjoy ourselves." Krinn was already ahead of them again, peaking out from the two stalls before tentatively stepping out and starting to wander along. With that lead, Lan stepped forward and lightly tugged the other two along. He would have dragged Inge too, but the man looked far less ready to disobey the offer to come with them then Marijus and Milo. Humming, he turned his dangerous eyes to Krinn who was in front of him, and then to Milo, wondering just how much he wanted his glasses back. After that he examined Inge for a moment with curious eyes, still wanting to know the mystery behind the boy and his ability to make Krinn distant in his thoughts. Finally he glanced at Marijus, and felt a wave of concern and interest slice him open. Cada, missing. That sounded absolutely.... scary in a sense. If Krinn had gone missing, Lan probably would have had a heart attack. "So," He said in a lighthearted tone.
"Where to go first?"

Marijus flushed feeling embarassed that he had to ask where his own child was but it didn't help to be stubborn. Cada had been gone for weeks only the letter left behind was any indication that he had made this choice on his own. A choice the doctor was sorely annoyed by. Where had he learned to be so...
"Neh did'nae lose him. He has run off." Marijus interjected wringing his hands together with worry. "He left a week or so ago, Neh have not heard from him. Neh... do not know where to look. All of his hiddin' places have turned up nothin'." It was all he can afford to say least he grow more aggitated with worry.
"Neh did not mean to pull'ya from ye friends. No need to help just wanted to know if ya may have seen'em."
