Waking up with cabbages in the morning

Pash and Pyran played by me
Divine played by dgcakes

That had been a deliciously wonderful evening. Spending a romantic night with his boyfriends - what could be better? Though, as per usual, it had all ended in wild smut and Divine waking up in a rather odd position. His lover's were stretched out properly upon the bed but the swan had somehow ended up on his back laying across their midsections. And apparently a...cabbage? On his stomach?

"Wha?" the man asked, sleepily blinking at the vegetable as if it'd respond.

Pash opened his eyes at the question, the green haired angel was a light sleeper. " He stared in confusion at cabbages that rested atop Divine. " Why is there a cabbage there?" His first thought was Connor trying to make some point and had done it, except that the bedroom door was locked at night so the girl couldn't have gotten in without breaking it down and they'd all have heard that.

Pyran continued to sleep, the redhead used to random sounds throughout the morning and not in the mood to wake for them.

"That would be what I was asking."

Pash frowned, it made no sense, how the hell had the thing gotten into the room.. " Does it feel funny?" he asked concerned for divine's welfare.

"Um.......no. It feels like there's a cabbage on my stomach." he intoned, lifting it and moving the thing about. "Feels like a regular cabbage to me."

" Stop talking about food and go back to sleep" Pyran grumbled still mostly asleep himself.

About that time, the swan took a moment to notice his other lover, having previously only been paying attention to the cabbage and Pash. It was then that he noticed, peaking out from under the angel's pillow, was a leaf. One decidedly like those belonging to the veggie upon Divine's abdomen. "Pyran has one too!"

The redhead gave a growl and lifted his pillow to deny the claim so he could get back to sleep. Unfortunately for him there was indeed a cabbage beneath it " The heck?" he picked the large plant up and wondered how he'd slept on it without noticing.

"I'd accuse you of eating in bed again but we don't have any cabbages."

Still doesn't explain what they're doing here " Pyran pointed out. " Or why Pash doesn't have one too"

Because the cabbages don't love him. Or whoever left them was like 'yanno what? ********, he already has a ton of kids. Let's give it to the other two blokes'." Divine intoned with a shrug, moving his cabbage to set it on the floor so he could crawl into a better position. The blood flow in this one was making him dizzy.

Pash frowned again " The question is how did someone get in there to leave them." The magic that kept other angels from portaling in or out also kept a lot f other forces at bay. Not all of course but still. Not to mention it made no sense to break in leave them cabbages " kids?" It was early and the angel's brain wasn't connecting all the dots just yet

"I don't know. For all I know it's just a really early april fool's joke or a hint at a new show. Though how they got in I don't know."

Pyran shrugged " Merrill put the barrier up maybe he did it"

"Your Mom!" Divine suddenly said, sitting up and pointing at Pyran.

" The hell?"

The swan waved his hand a bit, intending to clarify that it wasn't a weird joke, "Your mother, Pyran, I've seen her carrying around a cabbage lately."

The angel's dark eyes narrowed as he thought about that, right she'd been going on about adopting a child for a bit now and then she'd gotten that cabbage. " but why do we have cabbages" he asked confused " i don't recall signing up for more kids" hell he hadn't signed up for the first one

"Well you know how places on Gaia are. Sometimes they go about letting you pick to take a kid and sometimes they just say 'HEY! YOU! YOU HAS BABY NOW!'" the swan did a rather comical impression of a crazy dictator at that moment, pointing at them as he spoke. "At least there was no mustard involved."

Pash sighed " yes no mustard" he was never going to forget that. " You too should go talk with Rinali, make sure your cabbages are all the sameish and see what she has to say about it all." it'd give pash time to digest this news if it were real and figure out how to explain it to the rest of the family

"Is she even awake at this hour?"

Pyran shrugged " maybe" he looked his own cabbage over before setting it down beside the bed and curling up again." we can wait and bug her later" he yawned. it was too early for this and while a part of the man was buzzing with excitement, more of him would rather go back to sleep and deal with this when he had more energy

Divine nodded and curled between his two boyfriends. "Yeah, I don't want to get up yet. We can pester her about vegetables when we wake up."

The two angels smiled and each pressed a kiss to the side of divine's face before getting comfortable themselves. They would all deal with this a little later when they were more prepared

Mommy has all the answers

Rinali and pyran played by me
Divine played by dgcakes

Rinali bustled about the living room duster in hand, while the woman had never been much of a clean freak she did like tidyness and she was also making notes or areas that could possibly be problematic once she had a child running around.

Childproofing was impossible and illogical considering the other residents of the house, putting up gates and such would only cause them problems, so Rinali was making certain she knew the place like the back of her hand so she'd be prepared for anything. Her cabbage was at the moment in a small playpen she'd assembled corner of the living room. Someday soon it would be her new child , near and dear to the angel's heart.

About that time, a knock was heard at the door. Divine had come over, bringing the vegetable that'd appeared on his belly that morning. He had spotted Rinali with hers and figured she might be able to tell him more about the one that'd arrived for him as well as the one for Pyran. The angel had mentioned adopting a child before she'd started carrying around the cabbage so they had a feeling that's what'd come out of theirs as well. Smiling back at the lover who'd come with him, he waited for an answer.

Placing the duster on the coffee table the orange haired woman walked to the door wondering who it was and what they wanted, they were probably here for Czhichi. Opening the door the woman blinked in surprise as she stared at her son and son in law, it wasn't horribly uncommon for them to visit her but they were holding cabbages, just like her cabbage.

" Come in" she murmured a bit dazed and moved to give the two men room " I thought your family was big enough already" Not that they weren;t entitled to more children if they could raise them as well as the last ones. But why now and why hide their intentions from her?

"So they ARE the child giving kind of cabbages then?" Divine asked as they entered. "We woke up and had cabbages for no clear reason. We've got no idea where they came from or why we received them."

Pyran nodded , they'd though they looked like the kind his mother had but they hadn't been sure untill now.

Closing the door Rinali nodded " Yes they look pretty much exactly like mine" she reached out to feel the leaves on Pyran's " Feel the same too, the leaves are thicker and more flexible than a normal cabbages." This was a strange but interesting happening to be sure, the woman though as she took a seat on the couch.

Still holding his cabbage, Pyran leaned against a living room wall a bit more comfortable staying standing.

"So, what can you tell me about the cabbage kids? Are they going to be veggie monsters?"

The seraph laughed at that and shook her head: " They can be anything really, since you got them by accident pretty much anything could be inside. To be honest I don't even know what I'm getting. I adopted a random cabbage with no knowledge of what will appear when it um.. hatches?" Was that the appropriate term?

"Hrm. Well, then we shall just have to see, won't we?" Divine laughed, bouncing the one on his lap lightly. "Are there any care instructions for what it needs?"

" Water and sunlight, they're indestructible biocomputers for the most part so they generate anything else they might need" which was probably a good thing becuase Rinali could imagine some people ignored surprise cabbages until a baby came out of them

"The indestructible part is a relief - I have a feeling they would end up nibbled on otherwise." the swan laughed again. "Water and sunlight I think we can handle giving them."

Pyran smiled at that, Connor might be older and with less tendency to chew the heck out of things but she was still a curious child at times and the likelihood of the alligator girl chewing on a leaf or two was pretty high. The red haired seraph let his eyes wander the room until they spotted the cabbage that would become his younger sibling, really these were strange circumstances. "Hmm yeah and tea maybe? Plants are supposed to like tea." Ok so it was computer plant but still it might like it.

"....I thought plants only really liked tea cause it was water with weird stuff in it." the older male commented with a quirk of a brow.

" Certain plants like tea but that has more to do with what they are potted in." Rinali corrected " However that's not important and I don't think cabbages need tea."

"All right, because that just seemed a bit silly. Children hatching from vegetables is weird enough without having to also pour tea on said vegetables to feed them."

Pyran frowned, well it had made sense to him. " How long do we have before they become kids?" They definitely needed to do some preparing.

Rinali shrugged " A week maybe, two at most, depends on when the biocomputer is programmed to deliver the child. I've had mine nearly four days now and haven't seen any sign of activity." Not that she was even sure what to look for, the people at the lab had simply said she would know when it was time.

"Well, we shall have to get a room set up for them. I think putting two kids in one room will work for the beginning portion at least." Divine commented. "Pyran, what do you think?"

Rinali nodded " At least until they are old enough to want their own." She herself had shared a room with her older sister for the first few years of her life, and it hadn't been too bad that she remembered. Her own little one would have their own room if only because they would be the only baby of the house.

Pyran shrugged " Seems like a good idea, easier than running back and forth between two rooms at night." He looked thoughtful " Do you even still have baby things or do we need to buy new stuff?"

"Mm we should have plenty - we went shopping recently for stuff for Jade, and I still have Jake and Autumn's old things. Plus, we don't know what Pash has."

" Things Connor has chewed?" Pyran suggested wrly.

"Well yes, probably, but you never know." the man responded with a chuckle, standing and walking over to hug his mother-in-law. "Thanks for your time, Rinali. That's all we'll be needing I believe."

Rinali hugged the white haired man and smiled " You know you're always welcome here and I'd be glad to babysit my new grandchildren when they arrive. Tell Pash I love him too"

"All right. Will do." the man intoned before straightening up and going to stand beside his husband. "Shall we head home, dearest?"

Pyran nodded and winked at his mother " we'll leave her be I think Czhichi's supposed to be done her practice soon so they'd kick up out anyways." The angel wrapped a rust red wing around Divine " We shall go set up a nursery for our.. cabbages" he was still never going to be used to strange objects giving him children.

"Oh yes, most likely. Not that we wouldn't do the same to them if they came over before one of us came home from practice." the swan laughed, waving to the older woman as they exited. "And yes, a nursery should be good. Just nothing too hard to tear down since you never know how fast children grow these days."

Bunnies , bears and breakfast.

Pash, Pyran and Kuschel played by me
Divine and Kodi played by Dgcakes

It was morning - sun was up and Pash was making breakfast. Their cabbages were neatly set on a nearby chair, atop a cushion, and the other kids had opted not to leave their lovers (or stop sleeping) just yet. As for Divine, he was currently on the lap of a certain redhead and in the process of getting a bit molested. All in all, a nice normal morning.

Pyran held Divine tightly in his lap as he nibbled and sucked on his husband's neck. It was morning the and the angel was feeling a bit frisky. Although he was also looking forward to the food Pash was cooking. it was nice to have a quiet peaceful morning for once, he loved the large family he'd married into but some days it was just all a bit much.

The green haired angel watched his lovers in his peripheral vision as he worked on not breaking the sunny side up eggs he was currently making.

Divine was purring and running his hands up over his lover's chest. The swan was generally frisky about as often as his lover, if not more often, so this little playtime was enjoyable. Especially since there were currently no childrenthings interrupting just yet. Every now and then he'd glance over at Pash in a slightly sultry way as he licked at Pyran or touched him in a particular way, just to be a tease and make keeping concentrating on breakfast just a bit harder.

" If I burn or break these he's going to stop paying attention to you to whine" Pash pointed out smiling at Divine.

Pyran made a non committal noise at that, his love for food was well known.

"Yes but I trust your skills and ability to work well under pressure." the swan purred, nuzzling against the red haired male's headwings and kissing their bases.

Pyran laughed softly then froze, his eyes narrowed over at where the cabbages sat on their pillow " They moved"

The swan's eyes shot in that direction rather quickly. Had they really? As he got the pair of cabbages into view, he saw them do it again. Wha?

"Oh no...and here I thought we were getting some child free time for a

" Hush you " Pash said shooting them a firm glance, he knew divine didn't really mean it but still, it's not like the cabbages chose when they wanted to hatch.

The swan rolled his eyes and reluctantly pulled himself off of his lover's lap to go over and check on the small shaking plants. It seemed the one - Pyran's - was more eager to hatch than its companion. Though his own seemed to have rather forceful shakes when it did have them. Huh, this was gonna be odd.

Whether due to the extra attention or simply becuase it was just time the leaves on Pyran's cabbage began to peel back as it shook, thought the faux plant seemed to rend it self near in half as the biocomputer shell fell away onto the floor and left behind a small pink child with incredibly long ears.

" It's pink" Was about the only intelligent thing Pyran could find to say, and not just a little pink either, covered from head to toe in short pink fur and hair.

" It's a rabbit" Pash pointed out recognizing the familiar lop eared bunny form that his own son, Owen had.

Divine, of course, reached down to gently pick the toddler up in one arm and pet him lightly. He moved slow, however, so as not to startle the child. The other one didn't seem to want to come out just yet. Though it was getting close with each of its large slow shakes.

The small boy looked up the one holding him with nervous grey eyes, small chubby fingers though more concerned with fiddling with his own clothes than trying to touch the white haired man holding him.

" You both look adorable" Pyran said thinking that Divine did look perfect holding a child in his arms , his child no less. Still the angel was going to steal the kid, was it a boy or a girl? In a moment.

Divine snorted and stuck his tongue out at Pyran over his shoulder before turning back to pet the child's hair lightly to reassure him. About that time the biocomputer for the second finally cracked and a small brown thing in a matching outfit was revealed, curled into a ball and seemingly trying to hide.

"Aww..." he said softly, moving to hand the first baby off to his father and going to lightly pick up the other...which resulted in the child freaking out like all hell. Were Divine less careful and assured of himself, the shock of the boy suddenly moving so much and trying to claw up his arms to escape would have made him drop the child. It did make him eep though.

Pyran held tightly to the small pink boy, he was sure it was a boy, as he backed away from Divine not wanting to crowd his husband and freak out the child he was trying to hold even more. The soldier had no idea how to handle such a situation and was mildly worried.

Pash turned off the stove and moved to try and help Divine, spreading his wings to try and block out excess light and hopefully make the panicking child feel more secure. it could backfire since it did make him look like a bigger threat but it was the angel's best idea

Luckily for Pash, the brown furred boy wasn't looking at the angel and more just trying to hide and escape being held. However, when things were blocked off and when Divine started to gently pet him and scritch behind his ears, he started to settle back down and relax into the older male's arms.

"There we go," Divine cooed quietly, "little one is just shy."

Pash smiled, glad he was able to help " That's good " The angel said keeping his voice low before looking over his shoulder " The other is trying to eat his clothes" he blinked and looked back " They have the same clothes"

"I think they're supposed to be twins of some sort." Divine replied, petting the bear gently. "And he's a bunny, they try to nibble everything. You can probably get back to cooking now. I think he'll be okay now."

The green haired man nodded, smiled at his husband and went back over to the stove to try and save breakfast, he imagined the other two were going to need fuel to deal with this. Still, it was truly a happy moment even if they children were far from anything Pash would have expected to emerge from the cabbages. A small part of the man was a little jealous even though he did have children of his own.

Pyan was watching the pink furred bunny boy chew on his own clothes as he walked around holding him and looking over at divine on occasion " Matching outfits I get but bears and rabbits? What have they got in common?" Not that it mattered becuase the children were siblings now regardless but still it perplexed the redhead.

"I don't know." Divine replied with a shrug and helped the little bear to sit up so he could glance around and get a better feel for what was happening. On spotting the pink bunny, the bear boy used one little clawed finger to point at him, tugging on Divine's sleeve a little with the other.

"That's your brother, sweetie. Do you want to go say hi? No clawing now." he cooed tenderly, walking over.

Although he was still somewhat invested in trying to turn his shirt into food the rabbit toddler looked up as the other two approached, he gave a soft nonsensical burble and smiled .

Pyran looked down at his son curiously, wondering if he could talk yet and just wasn't or if odd cabbage development had given him the size of a toddler but he lacked the general skills one might have learned by then. Either way the angel already loved the child even if he wasn't sure exactly how he was going to raise him, at least Pash had experience with this sort of rabbit child thing.

When they were near enough, the bear reached out to gently run a paw over the other baby's hand, curious. It was interesting to see how a child who could leave huge violent gash's on Divine's arms for picking him up randomly, was the same one who could so gently try to pet the bunny.

The pink furred boy smiled at that and made a random noise that Pyran assumed meant he was happy. Nothing the other angel was done cooking Pyran nodded over at him " Divine maybe you should give yours to Pash for a moment and go bandage yourself" Obviously the white haired man wasn't seriously hurt but the cuts still didn't look pleasant and the redhead was debating calling his father over to look at them when he had a spare moment.

Divine nodded. "I will. Though don't even think about bothering your dad about this." the swan knew his husband too well for that. Walking over to Pash, he carefully transferred the bear to his arms, making sure not to startle the child in doing this. It seemed the brown furred toddler wasn't really opposed to being moved when he actually could see and know what was happening and who he was going to. He relaxed into the angel's arms but made a little motion that he wanted to go back to petting the bunny again. Nice bunny. The swan, meanwhile, went out of the room to bandage his arms.

" You are going to need your nails clipped little one" Pash said softly as he looked down at the boy, he had no intention of letting divine get hurt again even by accident, not that he blamed the child. Moving across the kitchen he placed the bear cub next to the bunny boy in Pyran's lap as the redhead had sat down. Assured the other could hold onto them for a minute he headed back to the counter to grab the plates of food he'd made. This should be an entertaining eating experience for certain.

The bunny boy having gone back to chew on his shirt simply leaned over onto the other toddler as if he was a personal pillow.

The bear seemed content with this and moved his paw to pet at the long pink ears now. Well they got along pretty well at least.

The bunny burbled again and poked with pudgey fingers at the bear's nose, the other looked so different but was nice and small, like him

The other boy made a noise at that, wiggling his noise and batting lightly at the bunny's hand to get it away from his nose. Nothing dangerous though.

About that time, Divine returned with his arms bandaged. "Mmm, breakfast looks delicious, Pash." he purred, walking over to lean down and press a kiss to the man's lips.

The green haired angel returned the kiss briefly and motioned towards the table " go sit" he ordered " you two need to eat" he said and he took the plates over to the table " and thank you" Pash was not the best cook of the house and his default was usually pasta when it came to dinner but he could manage a good breakfast if not horridly distracted.

Divine smiled and walked over to seat himself neatly near Pyran and reached out to pet each of the boy's between their ears. "Cute little things they are."

" They're mine you can't have them" Pyran teased looking down at the little ones in his lap " Um so do you think they're old enough to handle solids" Pyran didn't really remember being that young and when exactly he started eating solid food

"Mmm we can try and see what happens. They look old enough." Divine commented, lightly fooling with the soft pink hair on the bunny's head. "Rigan shall be very amused to see this one. It might be gratifying to not be the pinkest one around."

Pash laughed at that thinking of his cousin " I imagine you'll have to be the one sharing since we know how protective Pyran is of his food" the angel teased as he took a seat at the table

"I was expecting to be. Here, love, pass them to me. I don't want you getting crumbs in their fur."

Pyran rolled his eyes " I am not that messy of an eater " he objected.

"Sure you aren't. Anyway, its easier to eat without babies in your lap trying to filch bits." Divine replied, carefully scooping the pair up and pulling them into his lap. By the looks of it, at least one would probably be able to handle bits of solid food, given how much he was nibbling on things. The swan plucked up a bit of bacon to offer one child and some toast to offer to the other. He didn't know if the bunny would end up being a vegetarian or something.

Pyran rolled his eyes but had to admit it was easier to eat to just without them in his lap in general never mind trying to steal his food. " You know they need names" The redhead pointed out, they couldn;t just remain as nameless babies forever.

Pash nodded from where he was slathering jam on his own toast " technically depending on whose traditions you follow it falls to Connor to name them but I'm not sure how you feel about that.

Ignoring the adults talking the bunny boy grabbed for the piece of toast to chew on it happily.

Divine smiled cheerily down at the pair, watching the bear nibbling the bacon as well but still petting his brother's ears. "Mmm I dunno. Can we just let her name the next one Pash gets and keep to naming our own? Since, given what I've seen of her naming schemes, they would end up being called Pink and Bear."

Pash nodded considering the girl called her best friend shark despite knowing his name it wasn't an unreasonable assumption. Connor was smart and could speak and talk just fine she just tended to think about the world along very simplistic terms " I think that will work just fine"

Pyran nodded as well the younger angel looking at his toast eating child "Mm well not sure what I'll call him myself but it should be better than pink"

As long as the sharp claws on the other didn't nick his skin the pink furred toddler was content to be pet while he ate.

"I dunno. The one looks like the Schnuffel bunny." Divine said sweetly, taking another bit of bacon for the bear and some for himself.

" The what?' Pyran asked curiously looking at Divine as he dipped his toast in egg yolk.

"The Schnuffel bunny. There's some band - I think they're german or whatever - that does really cutesy sweet little love songs and when they do music videos, it stars this little bunny singing them. Autumn's a fan of the band so I've seen the videos before."

" I see well that sounds like a rather mouthful of name to be honest" The redhead said as he looked over at his son who appeared to be contemplating eating Divine's hand if he didn't get more toast'

"Well I was just saying that's what I thought he looked like. They do have a song that might work for him - german word for snuggle I think. Kuschel I think it was. And just a second, sweetie." Divine said softly, pulling another piece of toast over soon as he saw the little one was finished with his first piece.

" You want me to name my kid snuggle?" admittedly Pyran found the name cute but he wasn't sure any kid wanted to be called something that meant snuggle.

The bunny child cooed happily before sinking his little teeth into the new piece of toast. Truly he was a snuggly happy little thing.

"Um.......have you looked at your child? Yes, yes I do."

Pash laughed " Divine do remember that Rigan is pink but not snuggly" the angel shrugged " I dunno I actually think it sort of suits him too though. What about the other one?"

Divine raised a brow, "Yes but this one actually is snuggly. It wasn't just the pink I was referring to."

The swan then turned his attention to the bear. "Hm.....well he's a bear. Teddy'd be one that'd come to mind but it doesn't suit him at all."

Pyran just shook his head and smiled " Fine fine looks like I'm outvoted and I don't have any ideas anyways" It really was a cute name too.
The solider looked at the dark furred cub" Um the bears on the ice cream bars what are they again" he agreed that teddy didn;t quite work.

Pash just laughed at that, Pyran would try to name a kid after food if given the chance

"Klondike? No that wasn't it.........Kodiak! They were Kodiak bears! That'd work. Cause it could go to Kodi, which is a name." Divine tried to be as quiet and not jumpy with his exclamation but he did bounce just a tad, causing the bear to give him a slightly dirty look. Though that was also partly cause he wanted some omlette.

Pash smiled " Kuschel and Kodi , sounds cute" A small part of the angel was a little jealous but he knew the children were in a way as much his as they were the others even if he hadn't ended up with a cabbage.

Pyran grinned as he finished his own breakfest " Ok but aside from today no more matching clothes ok, I think it's silly". Giving them both k names was fine but dressing them the same was going too far.

Kuschel looked over at his brother and waved the toast at him

Kodi waved back at his brother a bit, nibbling on the bit of omlette he'd been given.

Divine smiled, "yeah, matchign clothes just don't work." he replied, lightly scritching his boy's ears. "Yanno, Pyran, I believe if ours have hatched, your mother's might have too."

" Maybe, maybe not remember she's had hers long----" The phone rang interrupting the angel who stood to go answer it .

Pash laughed as he watched Pyran try to get an word in edgewise over his mothers excited squealing that he could hear from the phone " guess you were right" he reached before reaching over and sliding a piece of sausage onto divine's plate. Whether he ate it or Kodi did the least the man could do was share.

The swan snorted and took the piece of sausage, splitting it so he could offer half to the baby bear, who seemed to have no problem taking and nibbling the food. Well, it seemed this one wouldn't be hard to feed.

"Mmm, I bet Czhichi and Teisin are being quite amused by the new baby."

Kuschel poked divine with his toast then gestures towards divine's plate, he wanted the other stuff too.

Pyran appeared to be stuck on the phone at the moment but was smiling " Ribbon in her wings ? no I have no clue"

"What do you want, sweetiepie?" the swan cooed tenderly, patting the little pink boy.

Kuschel pointed at some of the egg, he'd seen his brother eat that, he wanted some.

Divine smiled. "All right little one. But only a little till you decide if you like it." he cooed, taking a bit and offering it to the bunny. Could vegetarians eat eggs?

Kuschel got the food into his mouth chew and then spit it out again not particularly caring where it landed, that was yucky.

Pash couldn't help but laugh at that " I take it he doesn't like eggs"

Divine took a napkin to wipe the egg off his pants. "Silly bunny. Want more toast? Maybe some jam this time?"

The pink haired boy pointed at the bacon instead , it wasn't wobbly lookign like the egg maybe it was better

"Honey, you probably won't like that." he replied, taking a little bit and breaking it off for the child to nibble, napkin at the ready for spitting.

This time the bunny boy merely sniffed it and wrinkled his nose "nnnnn"

"See, told you you wouldn't, sweetie." Divine replied, giving the other boy the bit of bacon.

Kuschel whined softly still hungry even if he didn't like anything

Divine reached over to give him some more toast. "here, how about I get you some milk, hm sweetie?" he asked sweetly.

Pyran finally hung up the phone and smiled at Divine " Mmm I see you have things in hand and yes you were right "

Breakfast continued as normal, and afterwards the little ones got put down for a nap. Really sweet little things, he thought with a nod.

Storytime with siblings.

" The sun did not shine; it was too wet to play; so we sat in the house all that cold, cold, wet day"

Pyran smiled as he walked past the living room and spotted Owen on the couch, the large lop eared rabbit teen squished between Kuschel and Jade as he read them a pre-afternoon nap story. The redheaded Seraph noted it was becoming a bit of a habit too and he didn't really mind it becuase stories before bed were still his responsibility, well provided the boys didn't fall asleep before he could even get to them. Either way Pyran found their love of being read to cute and was happy that their older siblings of sorts were willing to oblige them. It had made him nervous at first while he waited to see how the children he'd brought into the family would mesh with those already established but well everything seemed fine so far.

Stomach rumbling the man headed for the kitchen and made a note to find Divine later and ask if there was a reason why Kodi wasn't joining the reading group or at least he wasn't there that Pyran could see but the small bear child could simply have been curled up out of sight. He was still such a shy little little thing.

" Put me down said the fish, this is no fun at all! put me down said the fish, I do not wish to fall" Owen smiled softly as Jade and Kuschel grinned at the cat in the hats antics both as he described them and on the page. It was strange having a younger sibling to read to again, strange but pleasant. The Eden didn't have a lot of spare time but there was enough in his day to make sure the boys got their before nap story, though to be honest the bunny boy wasn't sure what to read to them once he ran out of Dr, Suess books.

Kuschel lay snuggling half in Owen's laps, the pink furred lop bunny child looking oddly in place there as if the older boy might be his father and not his brother. Currently he had the tip of one of Owen's own long ears in his mouth and was sucking on it sleepily as he listened to the story, smiling or giggling around it sometimes. It was a fun thing to do to have the bigger boys ears draped over him or in this chase in his mouth, he was for the moment too young to really know better and no one had told him no yet.

Taking up the other half of Owen's lap was Jade who was fascinated by the currently story, evidenced by that the strawberry blonde had his tail curled round him to rest in his lap and he was poking it from time to time to make it light up, something the household had come to see as a sign of happiness from the young deity. The boy's amber eyes were currently focused on the way the cat in the cat was trying to balance things while standing on a ball, it looked like a lot of of fun and he bet someone here could teach him how to do it.

" Should we tell her about it, now what should we do, well.. what you you do, if your mother asked you?" Owen spoke the last words softly as both Jade and Kuschel were on the very edges of sleep. Carefully he stood letting them slide down and curl up on the couch neither was prone to rolling in their sleep so they'd be fine to nap there.personally he thought they in their non sleeping moments were an awful lot like his own personal thing one and thing two.

The rabbits that weren’t.

Kuschel did not know what a dust bunny was but he did know that his home had them. The pink furred lop boy had heard his father complaining about them earlier in the day. Kuschel himself was a nice good clean bunny boy but dust bunnies it seemed were dirty and bad. Where they came from and how they’d gotten into the house was a mystery but what the toddler did know was that they had to go. He wasn’t the only bunny of the house, he shared that honour with Owen but two was enough in the boy’s mind.

His afternoon nap complete the boy toddler down the hall and peeked into the first open bedroom doorway he could find. It belonged to Connor, his older sister with the spark teeth and long bumpy tail. She was a gator thingy who liked to swim most of the time with a shark boy named lucas. He didn’t understand her very well and they didn’t play a lot but she was okay and pretty and pretty smart.

“ Connor can you help?” The grey eyed boy beamed his best smile at his sister. She was on the phone and hated to be interrupted. She also hated being spied on but he wasn’t spying he just had big ears that heard everything. Not that he was old enough to recognize all the words she was using anyways nor was he interested in what she was saying.

“What?” Two eyes, one silver and one green stared at him in annoyance.

“Where can I find dust bunnies?” He fidgeted and hoped she wasn’t really mad at him, he didn’t want her to be mad because then she’d close her door and shut him out and he hated to be shut out even if he wasn’t alone.

“Under your bed,” The girl gave a sigh and shook her head before speaking into the phone again about how weird her brother was.

“Con-“ Kuschel was cut off before he could ask his next question.

“I’m not going to close the door.” The way her long large tail flicked she was still clearly annoyed but there was a soft reassurance in her voice.

Kuschel smiled, he knew where to find the dust bunnies or at least some and Connor wasn’t really mad at him for bugging her to ask. So far his plan was going well, now it was time to go back to the bedroom and hope he didn’t wake Kodi up when he hunted the dust bunnies down.

~
A half hour later Kuschel had discovered several things. Dust bunnies weren’t real and they didn’t live under his bed. Spiders were real and did live there, they didn’t like to be sneezed on though. Under his bed was dirty and really needed to be cleaned and his favorite pair of socks had been hiding in the dark depths under there for weeks.

Though he now needed a second bath in one day Kuschel was happy regardless, he’d learned a lot, no longer worried about dust bunnies and recovered his socks.
