Last night, I finally went to a concert. I'd only ever attended two prior to this -- one being a Tech Nine concert my sister made everyone go to (everyone was predictably high) and the other being a Good Charlotte, Aaron Carter (There's a contrast for ya) and Vanessa something who played the piano, which I barely remember at all.

I had gone to Guitar Center earlier that day to get a cable replaced, as it had died (which is really ******** annoying, by the way). I'm friends with two of the workers there. As I was leaving, I stopped to talk to Chris, one of said workers (yes, we both find it amusing that we have the same name), who has blonde 'Jesus' hair, is taller than I, and cool. He told me his band was playing tonight, and asked if I'd go -- so, after looking it up, figuring out when it was, I went.

Dear god.

Okay. The whole thing took place at a church -- obviously, these bands were Christian bands. One of them made reference to it. I was fine with this, especially when they started playing.

The first band -- The Boy in the Snake Pit -- was so obviously grindcore. Which was awesome. I believe I got run into once, if I remember correctly. They had a very amusing singer who acting like he was drunk in between songs ("Hey, what's up.... box...?") and started singing about "and it was all yellow" at one point.
Second -- I don't actually know their name -- an alternative band. Again, a good band.
Third -- Chris' band, Our Last Chance -- screamo, or something close to it. They made me think of Escape the Fate a few times. And Chris can play guitar like a ********. Seriously. And I noted that he was, I believe, the only one in the show to play guitar solos. He earned them an encore -- something none of the other bands got. Granted, they weren't able to do one due to time constraints, you get the point nonetheless.
Fourth -- Muzzleloader -- more grindcore, more asskickery -- and a circlepit in the middle of the church. The singer from Our Last Chance was disco dancing in the middle, Chris was running in circles flying at people (I got to see him dance to the grindcore bands too, and that made me laugh).
And the band I didn't get to see (left early, unfortunately, mother showed up before it was over) -- The Thirty -- described to me by the singer as 'countrycore', which he defined as 'a combination of Garth Brooks and Underoath'.

Also, something I found interesting. Chris, a guy from the band I can't remember the name of, and a guy from Muzzleloader were all using Telecasters -- which is unexpected for music that heavy.

Basically, it kicked a**. And while I was there, I got some more ideas, and am waiting quite impatiently to do that myself.
Oh yeah. And I ran into a girl from school. I didn't actually talk to her, despite that she was right next to me, but I found it amusing to see that she still had her Pooh bear. She has this big stuffed Pooh bear that's about half her size (granted, she's about half my size) that she carries every day at school.

I type too much.
