Catherine heavily inhaled air before collapsing on Adel as if he was some kind of mattress. Digging her chin into his shoulder, she sighed again. Smiling because she found humor in his question, Catherine just snickered and replied, "Only if you want me to." She didn't imply the answer to scare him. But she just needed a good laugh after the day's events. Picking herself up, she tried her best to brush off the small specks of mood stuck on her back. With one hand still scrubbing her back to rid the prickles of wood, Catherine lightly waved the male's hair away from his face. "If you don't tell me wear it hurts, I can't heal you." her voice spoke, sounding almost motherly.

When Catherine all but threw herself onto Adel, there was a strange moment. Her calm, almost prone body pressed against his and her voice - not her words, but her voice - relaxed him in a way he hadn't entirely expected. Yet, at the same time, her muscular weight pressed against his less than athletic, now bruised and battered frame hurt. It hurt alot. He breathed in sharply through his nostrils and stiffled the cry that he wanted to release, instead clenching his eyes shut. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. OW. OW.

And just like that, she got up. Looking like a crumpled body at the bass of the tree, any casual observers might've been certain that the Mewtwo had claimed another life, the way he was huddled up at her feet, eyes still clenched shut. When she brushed the wayward, ever-disobedient bangs from out his face, however, he relaxed, if only a bit. Opening an eye, he glanced up at her. She looked as hurt as he did, but...better. Calmer. Maybe even happier. Her maternal tone made him smile, if only just a little.

"Everywhere?" he answered pathetically.

Catherine frowned lightly and hugged Adel lightly, knowing that it probably hurt like hell to even be moved from his spot. "This is going to feel uncomfortable..." Catherine said as she combed back his hair with her hand. "Let me restate that. Very uncomfortable and probably a painful. When I was younger, I had to learn how to perform self-surgery in order to repair anything broken with in my body. I...I have never done this on another person before, so please bare with me if I make a mistake. I won't due anything life threatening and I will have minor control over your heart. If you ever begin to panic, I will be forced to slow down your heart rate. If you can, try and calm yourself down. Having your blood rush while I try and fix bones might cause me to accidentally snap vessels. I don't think you would like that either. For now, just take a very deep breathe. I'm going to paralyze your body for the time being, than induce a Recover on your body. I apologize in advance if anything does feel too uncomfortable." With that, the Mewtwo tightly clinged to Adel until her chest pressed against his. As his and her heartbeat intermingled, Catherine pressed to him tighter. "This will be feel uncomfortable." she spoke as a large shock ran from her body to Adel's.

"Oh, dear," Adel murmured, more to himself than anyone else when Catherine warned him of the dangers of the procedure she was about to attempt. He should have been used to these sorts of things; he'd gone through plenty of medical procedures as a child, and the risks of surgery - even if it wasn't quite normal surgery - were as familiar to him as the back of his hand. Perhaps it was just the Mewtwo's wording; either way, it left him with a rather unsettling feeling in the pit of his stomach.

If he had gone to the hospital, if he had seen a running checklist of his multiple injuries, he would have laughed until it hurt (which, admittedly, wouldn't have taken that long in his current state). Bruised ribs, two of them broken. A fractured collarbone. A dislocated knee. One herniated and two ruptured discs in his spine, one of which was pinching a nerve that ran down the length of his left leg, leading to its numbness. It wasn't the first time he had such a lengthy list of things wrong with him. That might've been why he found himself coping with it so well.

For a few seconds, his heartbeat went up three or four paces above what was his norm. But the man forced himself to calm down, forced himself to relax in the hold of a being who had injured him as easily as it seemed as easily as she was going to fix him. His heartbeat didn't lower, but it stopped accelerating. He trusted her...even if it was only a little.

Catherine nodded her head as she threw herself into a somewhat light trance. She was reading Adel's brain waves to determine where the electrical pulses from his neurons were coming from. The zaps were quick and it was hard for Catherine to determine for a while where exactly each source of pain was located. However, she was able to locate two of the current damages within his body. First and foremost, Catherine took care of the first one she found which was the dislocated knee. Catherine soothed the area by focusing her Recover upon it before trying to figure out what was out of place. The bone structure for humans were odd as she looked at Adel's. They seemed to have smaller bones, almost twig like. This made the Mewtwo worried as she placed her hand upon his knee. Using Psychic, Catherine moved around Adel's patella lightly. "Does this hurt?" she asked, before moving her hand above the bone. "If it does, give me a sure sign."

The Mewtwo was not mistaken in noticing the almost frail body structure of the male she was healing. Even for a human, Adel's bones weren't as strong as they should have been, and she could mentally see small, weakened areas where the bone had tried to heal itself back to its normal strength after some injury. Tried and failed. His inability to not get himself hurt always made him almost as nervous and uncomfortable as being healed. After spending what must've been at least a fifth of his life in casts, being healed so quickly, so easily felt...odd. Wrong, even. He squirmed a bit uncomfortably in Catherine's hold, but was still oddly comforted.

"Mmm...no. Just stiff," he replied, shifting a bit before sighing. Maybe it was the fact that Catherine's psychic powers were forcing his mind into submission, or maybe it was because he had so exhausted his energy that he had nothing left, but he felt oddly resigned, even calm...and most strangely, trusting. He still couldn't figure out why he had so much faith in a creature that seemed so bent on killing him only a short period of time ago, but now he found that he didn't especially care. As his sharp stabbing pains slipped into dull aches, he closed his eyes and rested his forehead against her collarbone.

A slight smile quivered on Catherine's face. She felt as if she was soothing a small child from pain. She remember the first time she did such a gesture. The little girl named Medley smiled at her and hugged her lightly. The memory was deeply settled in the past, but it felt as if it was only a day ago. With the smile growing bigger, Catherine cracked the knee into place. "There...there..." she said as she allowed her three membered hand to run through the clean lines of blond hair. Working her way to the two broken rib bones, Catherine tried her best to move the bones into place. There was so many pieces, some so tiny her mind couldn't even get a grab on them. As she fixed the fractured pieces into place, Catherine continued her comforting action. "Why were you out here?" she randomly asked as a recovering agent was smothered over some of the pieces to join them together. "Was it the fire the drew you over here? Humans rarely make an appearance around this part of the woods."

Growing up, it was always "you'll hurt the baby," or "be careful, little Adel is fragile!", and as a result of it, much anything beyond a gentle touch was foreign to him. Because of it, Catherine's presence made him feel...well, he wasn't entirely certain what the feeling was. He certainly would never describe it as safe - despite the fact that it was a perfect description - but he knew that he at least liked it, that it made him feel at ease. Odd - and maybe a little pathetic - that he was so starved for contact that the touch of Pokemon was enough to make him smile, even if only a little.

The sudden space that his lungs had to expand when Catherine fixed his ribs made him take in a long, slow, steady breath. That felt good.

"Well, I...I'm a reporter. A columnist. I was working on a story, and um, I...," he began rather confidently, then frowned a bit before admitting, "Well, I mean, I...I got a little turned around, I guess. That's all. What...what about you? I mean...you don't live here, do you? You have a home, don't you? It seems a little, ah, dangerous for someone like you to just live in the woods like this..."

"I was suppose to be collecting some wood. I was going to cook them dinner tonight as a thank you for allowing me to stay for such a long time. I was given the basics, such as collecting wood for the fire and getting the ingredients." Catherine said as she moved pieces around and joined them. "I live with a pair of female humans. A little one named Medley and an older one named Meeka. Meeka took me in after I escaped and I have been living with her since." She paused to point but quickly returned her hand back to its original setting. "Her general store is about a mile or two that way. If you would rather I continue my healing there, I could take you. You look a little uncomfortable resting against the tree like so."

For a moment, for the flightiest of seconds, Adel found a faint wave of disappointment surging within him. He had hoped, was hoping that she didn't have a home at all, that he would invite her to come back with him so that she would be safe. He didn't have any disillusions that she would be his. She was a free-thinking individual, and he couldn't tote her around and act as though she belonged to him. But they would form an alliance; he would protect her, and she him. And maybe, perhaps, he would find life a little less lonely after a while.

But that wasn't what was going to happen. She had a home already, a place where she was safe, where there was already a family to protect her. It made him happy, certainly, that he didn't have to fret over her quite as much. But...well, he'd been waiting to find someone, be it Pokemon or person, to fill in that gap for at least a decade. A few more years couldn't have hurt.

So lost was he in his brief thought tangent that he didn't immediately respond to what she said. It took a few moments before he stammeringly opened his mouth to say, "Oh, n-no. That's fine. You don't need to do that. You can just...finish up here, and I'll find my way back home. No worries."
