Sukari left her mate at home with the feathers that the marshmallow swan had granted them. She was joyful about them, but babies weren't her thing. Kuu was more of a mother then she could ever be. She sighed, she hoped she would be a good parent, even if she'd be the father type figure. No matter. She moved along with her snake friend around her neck. Slinky had clung to her more now then ever. She didn't want to be forgotten know that there were little nibbles soon to happen.

Sukari paid no mind to where Slinky clang onto her. She was just happy that her snake friend was there with her. She wasn't much herself lately, no one to trick into stuff, no pranks to pull. Oh how she missed the old days. How long would it take before the old days would happen again? She didn't know, but she hoped soon. When they came though, would she hope the same? Or hope that her little boys were feathers again? She shrugged at her own thoughts. They really weren't that important. She wasn't one for thinking about the future.

"Slinky, shall we try to prank someone today?" She asked without trying to look at her snake friend. Her silver snake-slit eyes were more focused at looking around the place for an innocent victim for her to torment. Of course, that'd probably take a while to find the perfect one. She gave a yawn as she went. Having wished there were more nibbles about this time of day. They were probably all taking short naps, she figured. How boring. Why would anyone want to take a nap in the middle of the day when tricks could be played?

Uvo's tail barely wavered in the bright sunlight. The heat was coming and the humidity was so thick that you could almost taste it. He was sitting in the shade, but it was still about 200 degrees.
He was so thirsty he could have drank his own saliva. He resolved to get a drink from the water fountain when the line cleared down a little bit.

An hour later, the line was still at least fifty people long. He had waited forever for a drink, and now it was quite apparent he was not going to. Then he noticed an Emerald Tree Boa female staring, no, looking, around. She had the I'm-looking-for-someone notice that you never get from strangers.

If Uvo had been less shy, he would have gone up and said hello, but he didn't want to. Who knew how evil she could be? She could be an international criminal for all he cared! But maybe he should slightly bump into her so it could look like it was an accident... yeah, that was a good idea!

Casually, he walked by her and bumped her shoulder. As he turned around, he said quietly, with his eyes on his feet, "I'm sorry."

Sukari didn't even notice how the weather was, to her, it was quite pleasant. Even with her heavy "Hurry" shirt and baggy blue jeans. She wore headphones and carried around a CD-player but most the time it wasn't even on. The CD within it was the same band that was written on her shirt. It wasn't too hot, but could seem pretty hot to those who weren't use to it, or didn't like the sun upon their back. She really didn't see all the fuss others were making. Though it seemed pretty dead around this area anyways. She loved just walking near the licorice trees, or wondering in the lollipop forest. Playing tricks on those who passed by. Oh, the old times were still the ones she missed.

It had been very hard finding a perfect nibble to play a trick on to see if she still had her normal ways. She had changed a bit since with Kuu. As well as the past week that happened with her and the newly arrived feathers. How odd things had gotten, and how much she wished it didn't change. Perhaps it wouldn't be so weird if the feathers were actually nibbles. Though, she'd never really seen a feather before, and she didn't remember if she was everone. Though somehow, she knew that's what the feathers would be eventually.... Baby nibbles.

There really was nothing special about Sukari. She was no criminal, no murder, no anything but simply a tom-boyish female who wanted to scare a few nibbles for a good laugh. She saw the other as he moved towards her. She could see it coming already. Could see that he would most likely "Accidentally" bump into her. It's what males did alot, and she seemed to think more like a male then a female. She let him bump into her. For that way she could at least yell at someone. "Watch it bub, I wouldn't go running into females that you might think are attractive. Might get you hurt if you run into the wrong one." She hissed.

"Um, sorry," Uvo stammered. "I already have a mate, so don't worry about me." Inside he was smacking himself. How could he not have known she was so mean? Well, she probably wasn't mean, just trying to look out for him. Then Uvo shook his head. Why would she do that if she had just met him? It was ridiculous. He stumbled over to the water fountain and waited in line.

He was thinking and thinking about her. Why would she think he would think she was attractive?

By the time Uvo had reached the water fountain, he had come to a conclusion. That nibble was full of herself and rude. He couldn't go near her again. He couldn't even look at her. Why couldn't he? Why was he so shy? He didn't know. The best way for him to face someone was to not face them. That was his simple rule. Yet... he couldn't pull his eyes away. He didn't want anyone else to be hurt by her or anything.

Wait...probably no one except me would be offended by that... he thought. It wasn't like he was the police.

She eyed the male carefully. Why would he run into her on purpose then? She didn't ask him. She really couldn't careless if he had a mate or not. He was just plain rude then. "Then I assume that you are completely rude then." She said without being able to stop her mouth. It didn't matter anyways. "Your lucky that Slinky didn't bite you." She looked at her and glared at her for not doing that.

Slinky gave her a look as if she would but, he hit her on the wrong side. She hissed at the other and opened her mouth threateningly. Sukari wanted to smirk, but she didn't. She just eyed him for a moment, waiting for him to make his next move. Instead, she frowned at him and looked as if she might bite him.

She watched him walk over to the water fountain with nothing else to say to her. She just shrugged. What a wussy, she figured. She turned away from him and started to take a few steps. Wondering if he was just messing with her completely. Oh, if he was she'd get back at him. Totally get back at him if he was trying to be just like she really was. Her tail lashed in irritation.

Uvo just couldn't get it. Why would somebody act like that? His sister Argenta would be able to tell him; it was just he couldn't tell himself. That was the problem though. He knew why she was acting the way she was, but he didn't want to tell himself. Oh, well, he pardoned himself, and went on his way.

Yet he still couldn't get her off his mind. His first thought was that he loved her; then he remembered Tsubame and knew that this wasn't love. But why would she have such an attraction to his mind, why did she have such a magnetic pull? All he had to do was think of her sneering face and tears instantly rushed to his eyes. He was hurt by her rudeness and couldn't let it go unnoticed. But there wasn't a possibility Uvo could confront her. She would probably just make him cry, and how would that help?

Ignoring his nagging doubts, Uvo decided to do it. This way, maybe he could forget about her and her little comments. Walking directly toward her, he said quietly, "Um...what you said to me earlier was mean and -" He covered his face in his paws. What made him think he could do this earlier?

Sukari turned towards him with a uncaring look upon her face. "And you really thing I care?" She eyed him as if he was some type of bug or something. Why was he continuing to bug her? He had walked away, it had ended, yet now here he was telling her she hurt his feelings? She snorted and flicked her fluffy tail. She gave him a glare. It really meant nothing, because she glared at everyone. Some would say that her face just looked as if it was glaring, yet she was happy. Though, she wasn't totally thrilled with the situation.

She finally turned fully towards him waiting for his reaction on how she was. She simply just blinked at him. Her silver snake eyes baring into his soul. At least she was trying to seem like she was. Looking straight into his eyes. Not caring if she was making him feel uncomfortable. Not caring if he was going to start crying. She really wasn't one to deal with that type of thing. She didn't know how to, other then just walking away.

Uvo couldn't believe his eyes. Now she was glaring at him. All his earlier suspicions were confirmed: she was rude and mean. What was her problem? Unless she didn't have one and this was all his fault. He was already surprised, since he didn't have any interest in talking to someone. Uvo had already said more words to her than he had to any other nibble besides his sister and Tsubame. What had made her so special?

He shook the feeling off. Right now would be a great time to go get an ice cream or something to make himself feel better. Uvo could already picture the swirly vanilla placed on top of the wafer cone; it made his mouth water. It was decided; he was going to the ice cream parlor. He just hoped she didn't tag along.

He just seemed to stand there, was he retarded or something? She frowned even more. "Now are you going to apologize, or are you just going to sit there and look like your half retarded?" She asked him. She wondered how many she could make tell her sorry for stuff that she probably caused. Though this time, it was him. HE ran into her after all. HE came back and tried to confront her. It was all his fault, and she deserved to be said sorry to. He was the one rude, for bumping into her, then walking away, then having the nerve to come back.

She really couldn't believe this nibble. He seemed so out of place, so confused with himself. She just watched him carefully. Slinky also watched him carefully, just in case he tried anything funny. Slinky wasn't poisonous, but she sure had a bite that would leave a scar. She looked like she was a clone of Sukari too. Both were bright green, with a yellow, and both had deadly silver eyes.

He turned his back. He didn't need her problems. But he probably should apologize for doing what
he did without an explanation. But why did she always have to assume the worst of him? Uvo felt
like he was trapped in a spinning vortex; anything he did only brought him back to where he once
was. Whenever he tried to do anything about her, nothing happened.

Face it, she's too tough for you, Uvo thought gloomily to himself. He should definitely apologize
to her because he deserved to. Of course, he had bumped into her and said something and nothing
else.

Uvo felt his shoulder weight being lifted. He knew it was the right thing to do; except he couldn't
muster the courage. Ugh! I'm so stupid...

Sukari was getting annoyed even more with this situation. She started to walk away. Done with this conversation, done with this stupid nibble. She had it, the only thing that made her happy was that she ruined his day. She couldn't help but give a split second grin, then have it disappear as soon as it had appeared. He seemed so dull, and so confused with himself. To her, she saw a crazy multi-personality male.

She didn't even look back at him. She could careless anymore if he apologized or not. She wanted to go back home to her feathers. Something in her seemed to long for them now. She flicked her fluffy tail and walked faster so that the other wouldn't try to follow her. If he did, she'd have to protect her little babies. Sukari was the male in the relationship, where her mate Kuu... He was the mother.

Uvo still was having trouble recovering from the terrible weight she had placed on his shoulders. It was like having nothing there, then having the whole entire earth. It hurt, to just be rejected. But it wasn't like he would have been her friend anyway.

He decided to follow her. Who cared what he did? Nothing would happen except she would yell at him more. But it was kind of like he was immune to that now. How could it possibly be that way? He was still hurting inside.

Used to being quiet and unnoticed, Uvo tiptoed along in the forest, following her to her home. He saw through the window two feathers. His eyes widened. This girl could actually love someone?

She was starting to get angry. More for her feather's sake then her own. This freak was following her. She turned around finally, right in front of him. "If you keep following me, I'll hurt you." She told him. It was a plain and simple warning. Couldn't he get that threw his thick head? It wasn't empty threats this time. Not when it involved her own flesh and blood. It was her family she now was protecting. If he didn't leave her alone, Slinky would be the last thing he saw of the two of them. Perhaps the last thing he saw of his foot too.

She glared at him. "If you can't get that threw your head, you'll end up at the bottom of some pit." Of course she wouldn't kill him. Just throw him down a very big hill to where he'd get stuck somewhere. She wasn't going to be nice anymore. Before, she was at least joking about her rudeness, now it was personal. And the sooner he saw that, the sooner they could go on their own way before anything bad happened the male. She looked meaner then before. More serious too. She meant business.

Uvo turned around, but it wasn't to leave. Well, actually, it was, but he was going to come back. He didn't know what it was about her, but she made him kind of brave. He had never stood up to anyone like he had to her before. Or even thought about standing up to someone.

He ran back to his house and pushed in the door. Luckily, no one was home as he grabbed his flute and ran back. About 1/4 of the way there, even though his flute wasn't very heavy, he started to get tired and began to walk. He took his time and guessed on a couple of turns, but when he squinted ahead Uvo could see lights shimmering in the window. Perfect!

Sukari watched the other run away. This was her chance to ditch the little freak. As he was out of her sight, and she was sure she was out of his. She walked in a totally different direction where she had been going. Away from where the other guy thought she was going. This way, he'd have no clue where she had gone. She let out a sigh as she figured she was far enough to where he couldn't find her. She didn't want him to think that was her home. She'd at least walk around a bit before going back home.

She wasn't scared of him. He was more of a pest. Something one would squish with a newspaper, or something similar. For her, she'd gladly use a licorice stick on him. He had made her day, as well as ruined it. How one nibble could do that, she didn't know. The only thing she could do was put him out of her mind. Which, was quite easy for her to do. For now, she just wanted to get back to her mate, and her two lovely feathers. How she couldn't wait to teach them how to be like her. How she couldn't wait to teach them to fight, and wrestle.
