Hey guys.

I recently... well... not really all that recently... got my eyebrow pierced for the second time.

The first was about... 6 months ago and the second was about 2-2.5 months ago. But theyre beginning to annoy me like mad.

Theyre constantly crusty and are usually painful to move.
I dont sleep on them and I clean them in the shower everyday.
Most of my piercings are usually healed up within a month... or at least out of the crusty annoying phase anywho.

Its almost enough to make me want to take them out, which makes me sad because I had a dream once of getting three rings in each eyebrow. But if this is how they'll always be then I dont know if I want any part of it.

It might just be me being overly picky with my piercings or something but still. It seems like all the piercings Ive gotten recently have been taking forever to heal.

That is only happening for so long because of the extra oils in the area due to the hair. Perfectly normal. Just keep 'em clean. You shouldn't go past about 9 months. If you don't normally heal very quickly, then you could end up waiting upwards to about a full year before the crusties end

So if I leave them in long enough andjust keep rinsing them with water every day the crusties and I should eventually go our seperate ways?

Ok, it can be kind of expensive, but I recommend cleaning them with Colloidal Silver 30ppm. It is a natural disinfectant that will not dry the area, and will kill just about any bacteria in 15 seconds. The only thing is that some people can be sensitive to it, so the piercing isn't the first place I'd try it. This can also be used on just about any cut or sore, some even drink a teaspoon of it to help with colds and such. You don't have to use very much of it on your piercing, just clean the crusties off with a Q-tip of it and swab the ring or bar with it.

I'd also say use a salt water soak before you uses the Colloidal Silver...if there's some way you can do that on your eyebrow. Both of these things together will speed healing.

You can always do Epson salt soaks. I would recommend 3-4 times a week, unless you notice the area getting too dried out. (Skin turns too white around the edges) Pick up a bag for just a few bucks at a drug store or even Wal-Mart. Get a coffee mug, fill almost to the brim, nook the water a little (just enough for the salt to mix), pour one teaspoon (or TSP xd ) of the salt into the water a stir for a moment. The next part could get messy until you have a system down. Place your face on the mug so your eyebrow soaks for about 30-45 seconds. (Funny story about a girl whom tried bringing the mug to her face for the soaking. ninja So now I specify)

Just make sure the area is clean first with your q-tip & Dial (or other non-fragrented soap of choice)
