"No." Gus shook his head, and smiled. He wasn't taunting the other man or ever intruding really. He was just Gus and he was bored. "We were just bored, is all. It's a little cabin with not much to do." He pointed at Spawn briefly. "He's from a small cabin and he's probably used to it, but I'm from the city, and while my family lives in a cabin, we had Tv." He shook his head and laughed. "Which probably means nothing to you, just like it means nothing to my friend here." He shrugged and leaned against a post. "I was looking for something to do that would take my mind off being bored."

Gus chatted, Spawn listened, the Uuthli, whoever he was, listened as well. Neither seemed to entirely comprehend half of what was said. Or, more appropriately, they realized Gus was just chatting for the sake of chatting, and neither took much of what was said to heart. They didn't know what a TV was, anyway.
"He would like to find a library," Klu'chud supplied helpfully, to summarize Gus's chat.
"Ah." The Uuthli considered the question for a moment, then pointed off towards the center of the Village with a dirt-coated hand. "The Vhaid has more of the historical texts, but there's a pair of Afya who keep a public library down off of main street. Down the street across from the bakery, just past the market main. You'll see the sign."

Gus turned to Spawn with a grin. "You hear that? Afya! My kind of people!" He turned to the Uuthli and grinned "Thanks for all your help!" And then with a few more steps he turned suddenly. If that particular Uuthli wasn't on patrol right now, then that didn't mean that there wasn't someone else. Gus did a spin in the street and looked around for another Uuthli or Sargtlin or whatever, but he didn't see anyone suspicious hanging around near the windows. "We are allowed to go to the library right?" He wasn't all that sure how far this 'watching' went.

"Thrilling," Klu'chud murmured in response to Gus's excitement, but it would be unheard under the Uuthli's reply.
"Is there any reason you shouldn't be?" He raised a brow, giving Gus a pointed look. "You're just like anyone else here, aren't you?" Without waiting for a response, he offered a small wave in dismissal and retreated from the pair to return to his work, wings steepling over himself to provide some shade from the sun.

Gus grinned at Spawn and, not looking where he was going, he tripped over an upraised root as he left the yard. He only stumbled, but that didn't seem to phase him in the least as he continued his conversation. "See!?! There isn't any reason for you to worry or anything. He says we're just like anyone else here." Shoes aside, his brain chimed in.
Gus didn't even wait for Spawn as he shuffled off down the path with his hands in his pockets. The other jivvin was a big boy and could make decisions for himself. Gus noticed that now that he was here and rested, with the 'hostage/kidnapping' episode behind him, this village was a nice place, really when you got to know it. The air was clean, the people were unsurprising and predictable in a comforting way... there weren't any machines spouting out smoke or noise... he sighed. Of course he'd have to walk everywhere, and he wasn't the fittest of jivvins... and he had short legs, being short himself.
He shook his head. Depending on how long it took them to find that Jivvin in the woods, the whole 'not being very fit' thing would work itself out. Gus tried to picture himself with muscles and chuckled.
