Wotan Manasal
I don't know if this qualifies as proof of chronic Touhou addiction, but... I created this character's last name ("Manasál") as a wordplay on Youmu's last name:
魂魄 = 魂 + 魄
Konpaku = Kon + Paku
Kon (Japanese) = Mental or ethereal soul; the one that goes to heaven when we die.
Paku (Japanese) = Physical soul; "essence of being", "spirit".
I took those terms and looked for Old Norse equivalents:
Mana (Hebrew, Polinesian, Old Norse) = In occultism, the substance of which souls are made of. I equaled this to kon.
Sál (Old Norse) = Soul, spirit. I equaled this to paku.
