Alright; The About me section on this thing has been blank long enough. ~ So here it goes; Hello everyone I'm DA-FDNT, normally just go by FDNT or FD online ~ & for those of you who are wondering what FDNT stands for, here ya go;

Forgotten Dark, Nathan Taylor

If you didn't figure it out, that's my 'alias' and real name. ~ Lets see, I live in a coastal town on the southern end of California USA, lived here all my life & love it. - I'm a graphic artist / designer of sorts with no real business to speak of at the moment because times are hard and money tight so no one has much to blow on over elaborate advertising.

You may have noticed a similarity between my user name & DA-SF83's ~ She's my Fiancee I dragged onto Gaia from the site we met one, Deviant Art - where both our user names come from. - She's a great young lady that picked up MTG very quickly and beat me within a month of me teaching her - at the time I had been playing for over 8 years, almost 9, so quite a feat considering she had nothing but low tier cards.

I've been playing magic now for just over 10 years, since I was 11. I've only been playing seriously for about 6 though. ~ Love the game, love the concept, & love the art - why I got into it really. ~ I literally found a card floating around in the wind, and then a couple more that someone had misplaced. ~ can't really recall which card it was... I think it was green... I am primarily a black player - matches my pessimistic personality really ~ I'm fine with that, when someones had as much tragedy & heartbreak this early on in life it tends to mess with you.

So Yeah ~ wooo User Image

~ Well I am from a small town and there is like no one around me that plays MTG. It was actually by the kindness of the little cousin that I even heard of MTG. He saw a book at a yard sale one day about 3 or 4 years ago that said "Magic the Gathering Players Guide" and he thought of me and bought it. He thought it was a book about magic, since I love the Harry Potter books so much, he thought it was be something I would like. It was so sweet of him and he wasn't even that old at the time.

I randomly mentioned the book to my fiance back when we first started dating. I told him I didn't know what it was, but maybe he would. So I found the book on shelf and told him what it said. That's when I learned what MTG was. In Sept of 2007 he began to teach me after I finally bought some cards. I started to find the game a lot of fun and started getting more and more cards, some were given to me by him. I started off playing white, black, and green. I stayed away from blue and red for a long time. Then I made my first blue/black deck that scared my fiance lol. I think that was the moment I realized I loved making decks that scared him ^__^

Over the next year and half I have learned a lot about the game and have won 53 games against my fiance. I still don't have anyone near me to play against, but play it often over the phone (which is not easy) against my fiance. I do have another younger cousin that plays MTG, but I don't get to see him but maybe once a year. I don't know any girls that like to play though which makes me sad.

I now play red decks, anything with red cards in them. I want to be a scary-a** Goblin burn deck one day that will make all the guys pee their pants in fear of that deck biggrin I play a red/white deck and a blue/red deck that my fiance, DA-FDNT hates. As a mater of fact my blue/red deck makes him twitch rofl I want to make my red/white deck even scarier and perhaps one day make a deck with every combination with red in it biggrin

Maybe one day I will even get brave enough to play in an actual tournament or against someone other than my fiance ^__^ ~

Rules Aficionado

Hi there! I started playing . . . uh, right before 10th edition was released? My boyfriend wanted to turn me into the perfect Magic Tournament winning machine (you know, smart and good at the game but with boobs to distract the menfolk). It didn't exactly work out, because I'm not amazing - nor do I have mesmerizing cleavage - but i still play infrequently. When I am visiting my boyfriend though I play almost 24/7 with some of the best and most competitive guys in their state! I a most familiar with the 10th edition and Lorwyn-Eventide cards, but I still know the rules quite well so I'm not too disadvantaged xp
At the moment I only have two decks: mono black Rogues and Counter-Rebels (old school, baby!) My Rebels used to be standard legal, but alas, when they went out we decided to just go all the way counter-rebels.

P.S. I have purple hair. I figured it's something you all ought to know about me whee

Hello everyone , you may call me whatever you see fit , i have no preference... I've been playing magic steadily for approximately 12-13 years, with a small hiatus of a few months in there. I generally tend to be big into the competitive scene as of late , seeing as that's where the money is to be made , just playing cards =p

In competitive play , i play whatever is doing the best usually, seeing as I'm the ND pilot for the team that we have just placed together. But for things like FNM , i tend to play really rouge concepts, whatever comes to mind that week i try to build. I'm happy to be a member here now , and hope to talk to all of y'all soon ^_^

Boros Veteran
Casual Player

Casual Player's ~ People with more than a few games under their belt, and are concurrent with the rules of basic game play.

I am Boros Veteran, and as the name implies, I love the Boros Legion and RW cards. I dabble in all colors, though, but tend towards making even blue destroy things rather than bouncing or countering. I love aggressive decks the hit fast and hard, or slower decks that bring a crushing wave later on. I'm not one for subtly. To this end, I have trouble operating with U. I've been playing since Champions of Kamigawa.

I like to have many views of life, exploring the ideas of every faucet of mental existance if one is capable of thinking. Some of my views you'll agree with, some you will not, and some might be to apalling or different or unthinkable to you. I feel in life it is important to think on all things, and to look unto others for knowledge, from the ignorant to the brilliant, which in itself is relative. I am not afraid to argue, to state my opinion, and be open to new views. This is me, in essence.

I have played Magic the Gathering since the start of Champions of Kamigawa. Ever since then, and my first tournament after buying Spirit Bane deck, I have vowed to return to those who beat me and show them I've become better. That in the years since has taken a back seat to my ravenous pursuit of all things to do with Magic. I am currently trying to put together the sets yet to be released with rumors and facts. This is my first love, the research.

My second love, of course, is playing, especially against new people. I can't stand stagnation. There must always be a new challenge, a new deck, a new person, and a new world to explore. Playing helps with my first love in this manner.

Tagg the Terror of Death
Casual Play Expert

Casual Play Experts ~ Allot of people could claim this, SO I'm insisting on a background of no less than EIGHT years of game play experience and knowledge. These are the folk that hang around the local card shop, know the mechanics of the un-sets, ante, two headed giant, emperor, etc., and have general knowledge of the current expansion and rules.

Alright a bit about me! first off Tagg is the best way to call me, don't need to say the whole "Tagg the Terror of Death." it was during my .HACK days.

Anyways I live in San Fransisco, because of that I try to head over to San Jose to get in the Tornements such as the Starcitygames Open events. I've been playing Magic the Gathering Since 1998. I try to play with Mid-range decks because I want to prove a point that players can Top 8 without the need to spend $70+ per card. Of course I do pick up the better Tier 1 decks Occasionally.

I love everything about magic the gathering and play every format (besides vintage). EDH/Commander is one of my specialties for deckbuilding. and Drafting is my key abilities. As for my playing style I love decks that have me draw cards, I believe that card advantage plays a HUGE role in MTG. The next thing I love would be the Artwork, I LOVE altered artwork, and pay highly for them. I try my best to get a playset of every card with different artwork, full art, whatever. I actually Miss the old Acrylic art on the MTG cards.

A game that is like Drafting MTG would be the "Dominion card game" check it out!

If you guys need direct help (because sometimes I miss a couple posts on threads) feel free to PM me and I will try to get to you as soon as possible!!
