Fish shrugged. "I told him," he said. "He kinda got pissed off and then we agreed to work on the problem. I haven't seen him since, though, so I don't know if he's figured it out yet."
He laughed. "And yeah, I guess you could say that. Next time we meet, Writ, we're enemies."

"That so?" Writ rubbed his chin, "Well, don't be surprised if I'm nothing but a cinder when this is all over."
There was silence. Writ hadn't took his hand off of his enemy's shoulder.
Then he hugged Fish.
"I love you man."
Platonic love, of course. The whole "Love" part might've had something to do with the herbs he's been smoking lately.

Fish was a bit taken aback. But he went with it and let Writ hug him for what felt like entirely too long a time. "Ah, um, Writ?" he asked, finally. "You can let go of me any time you like."
The hug effectively over, he gave Writ a look up and down. "Take care of yourself," he said. "I'd hate to have to identify your remains."

"Right." Writ let go.
Writ began to walk away, "I'm not gonna have any remains." He turned back for a moment, "I'm playing with fire."
