Feb 27, 2009 - Congratulations to Klaas & Mares Vanderploeg as breeders and owners of the newest KFPS Stallion. Sylvester P Sired by Teade 392 out of Bauwina W ( Dam Sire: Ulke 33 cool was approved at this years stallion testing At DG Bar in Handford CA. His new Stallion name is Sipke 450.

Breed type: Sylvester P. is a handsome, breed typical stallion. The stallion has a beautiful head and a long, slightly horizontal neck. He has more than sufficient hair.
Conformation: Sylvester P. is correct in conformation, a robust stallion with a beautifully closed top line. The croup is long and correct in angle.
Legs: The hind legs are slightly sickle hocked but are of good quality. The stallion has nicely shaped hooves.

Training report:
Sylvester P. is an honest and reliable stallion. He has a very level-headed character and was consistent and unflappable during the training. His skill level and willingness to work developed positively during the testing.
Walk:
The walk has length and is powerful. It stands out how well he moves through the body in walk.
Trot:
There is more than sufficient length in the trot and it is sufficiently powerful. The trot could be more closed but has more than sufficient self carriage.
Canter:
The canter is good, with rhythm in the strides, and shows more than sufficient balance. The hind legs could be placed a bit more under the body. The canter is more than sufficiently uphill.
Suitability as a riding horse:
Sylvester P. has more than sufficient to good aptitude as a riding horse. All three basic gaits of the stallion show sufficient length and power of the strides. The hind legs could be slightly faster. The stallion shows good suppleneness and balance, and good transitions.
Suitability as a show-driving/driving horse:
Sylvester has with more than sufficient basic gaits in front of the cart sufficient to more than sufficient aptitude as a driving horse. As a show-driving horse he could make more front and rise more in the front. The front legs show more than sufficient action but could be placed further forward. With that the hind legs have to come to more self carriage. The suspension is more than sufficient.
