Yamaxchan For real though, I think that it would be really shallow to choose someone based on looks. confused Yeah... I think the personality would be more important... I hope it's not based on appearances.. There goes my chances if I ever try an exchange. xD

I'm not calling you shallow. I just think a person should pick an exchange student based on personality or interests. I wouldn't like it if someone picked me because of my looks and didn't look into what I liked to do or whatever. For example, your exchange student might be cute, but might not like Lolita. I wonder how hard it is to exchange over to Japan... If I ever had the money and opportunity to go, I would love to.. Only I can't see an opportunity at all..

 My mom eliminated one student because of their photo. He was flipping off the camera. I didn't want him because I'd preferred a girl and had a very limited knowledge of English and the girl was an excellent English speaker.

I imagine it can't be that hard. A girl from my high school went for half a year and came back bitching about how the food was terrible and she didn't like it. I think she just had no interest in the culture though. So if someone like that can go why not you guys?

I had a very polite, pretty homestay for a year. We actually liked it better when she brought her friends over b/c they were more interesting XD
But I do have to say....when she dressed up she made me squeal! I dragged her to my prom as my date XDD
My ex-boyfriend was like "WTF?!" XDDD
