I believe it started with: "Hey Dad, can I try some coffee?"

When was it you first had coffee? At 14 years old. When was it you became such an addict?About 6 years ago. When exactly was it you realized that the raging rampage of needing caffene could not be controlled, and that you are now out of your mind for the bean-brew? About 3 years -I just know now if I don't have at least 1 cup of coffee a day, people should stay away from me.

Okay, Um, I think that it started around age eight when I was at this restaurant... I was curious, so I ordered an espresso... I liked it, so I kept drinking it... and drinking it... I realized that I was addicted right when I turned twelve... (I'm still twelve, I feel so young sad now I'm over it) Now I have at least five cups a day. biggrin Sweet, sweet coffee... gulp blaugh

November 1999.
I would make frequent travels to my first Barnes and Nobles when I lived in Memphis at the Wolfchase Galleria which had an awesome set up for a BnN but would always watch my mother or father or both have coffee. At the time I was never interested and I never drank it at home. Whenever I went out to the bookstore it was always for an IBC Rootbeer.
When I moved back to Canada(Chilliwack BC), one of our first trips to town ended at a Starbucks not far from the big Safeway. I remember the sign saying "The new White Chocolate Mocha! Try it today!" When I saw this I was interested. I was asked what I wanted and both my father and I tried it together.
Forever, afterward it was my favorite choice and almost always get one every weekend or day off. I have expanded my horizons to Gingerbread Latte at Christmas or Strawberries and Cream frap on the odd days.

My first time was when I was about thirteen years old. It was one of those sleepless nights you get sometimes, and I woke up completely drained. I didn't know how to make coffee at the time, so I filled up the filter instead of measuring it out. I took a drink of it and didn't even care how it tasted. xp That was the most powerful cup of coffee I've ever had. eek
It kept me shaking for hours and I had to go to the bathroom every thirty minutes.
