Pyanfar glided slowly over the jungle, watching through the trees as best she could. The objective of her search simply had to be around here somewhere, his scent had pointed very clearly upwind, and this was upwind... She circled downward toward a small clearing, landing delicately on the bed of moss and leaves that formed the floor of the forest in the area, folding her wings up carefully along her sides and heading off into the trees. "Dale? Are you here? Hey, Dale..."

Dale looked down from his perch in a tree bordering the clearing; it was a good place to watch for possible prey. The sight that greeted him was much more welcome than lunch however. He lounged for a moment watching as his lovely friend folded her delicately colored wings to her sides. A purr rumbled in his throat, "Lovely as always," he said to himself. He debated waiting longer to reveal himself, but when she acctually called him there was no way he could do so...
He edged out further on his branch and lounged his forepaws folded and rested his head on them. "Hey there, Pyanfar, I'm right here."

"Well hello, stranger!" She looked up and smiled, glad as always to see her friend. Now that she had found him... er... what WAS she going to do now that she had found him? She pondered THAT one quickly, making a short hop to the tree and digging her claws in, scaling the rough bark of the trunk. "Murrr, what are you doing way up here? I'm the one that's supposed to be flying, remember?" She giggled, fluttering the tips of her wings slightly as she climbed.

"Well I was hoping to see lunch come across the clearing, but I think a certain winged lady might have frightened the critters away," he replied winking at her. "Besides I like climbing. It gives those of us without wings a chance at a better view." Like seeing you arrive.

"Murrr, I might have at that, I'm afraid. Lousy little fluffy things, always running away when a winged predator just comes dropping down, minding her own business." She giggled and batted at his tail playfully. "Perhaps we should go hunt something up then, instead of sitting up here. Climbing IS fun though, I suppose." She flexed her claws into the tree's bark and smiled.

Dale carefully stood and stretched. He turned to admire Pyanfar's climbing. "You look like some kind of giant woodpecker clinging to the tree like that," he teased. He wasn't all that hungry and now that he had company Dale wasn't too worried about rushing off to get somethign to eat. "A hunt can wait unless its what the lady would like to do?"

She looked down at her splayed posture, claws digging into the bark, and laughed. "I suppose I do at that, now that you mention it." A smile accompanied her glance back up, covering both Dale and the clearing in the same sweep of her eyes. "Well, I did catch a rather tasty Tapir earlier this morning and am kind of stuffed at the moment, but the hunt can sometimes be worth it just for the thrill of the chase. Besides, you should SEE the look on their face when you bop them with your paws and yell "Tag, you're it!"
