If you give her a treat after dinner, the next day after dinner she will come asking for a treat. Everything is routine, isn't that weird??

Yeah, I think thats normal for dogs, I watch those dog traing shows sometimes, and the trainer sometimes mentions routine, and that a dog needs routine. its like a chain for them, if you give your dog a treat before they sleep for example, the dog will remember that, and expect another one before their next sleep xD Its awesome!

I agree, dogs need a routine, so they will make one up if one is not provided for them. They are also very responsive to any type of feedback from their owner. So if a behavior is rewarded, like by giving a treat, it will be repeated ten times, even if a reward is not forthcoming. So if you sit down to eat and give the dog a treat, they will expect one for (at least) the next ten days or meals before they forget about it.

My cocker spaniel did the same thing. We gave her a treat after dinner around 8pm. Then, it became routine and she would remind us every night about her treat. Now I know dog's can't tell time, but it seemed like she could. We would eat dinner around 5:30 or 6pm and she would bark for her treat around 8pm. Every night never missed it. We'd make her "sit" and "speak" for her treat.
My yorkiepoo that we have now is really only interested in treats after her bath. She gets these yogurt drops sometimes that she really loves. After her bath, she says I did a good job now where's my treat?

One of the best things about owning a pet is how they do things that entertain us every day.
