I'd just like to share that my dad...bakes.
^o^
He makes cheesecake, brownies, cookies, revel bars, carrot cake...and other stuff.

They're really delicious.

Mmm, I usually do most of the baking in the family. I haven't really focused much on little sweets though. I make cookies and brownies often. I used to make cup-cakes, but I've been fighting with my oven. What my father is really well known for is his pancakes.

Does anyone here walk around their local mall and say, go into random stores and find a thousand things that can be considered lolita? I'm sure many of these things aren't actually lolita inspired, but they're just so cute that they make you think of Japanese fashion immediately!

Yes! Not a thousand, but there are lots of gorgeous clothes that are ALMOST lolita clothes. I spend all my time hunting out the few items that DO match my sense of the fashion. There aren't many, but it's really fun looking, and really nice to get a basic lolita skirt for NZ$15 from a mall store on clearance biggrin

No shop is safe from my prowling biggrin Though I don't spend too long in expensive stores biggrin Sometimes shops targeted at older women have the best designs for the fashion even though my friend says something like "No, you can't shop in there. That's an old lady shop." biggrin

I love the way there are so many ruffly clothes in the mainstream shops at the moment smile

Lots of my lolita clothes are from mainstream stores. The others I get from thrift stores or by making myself. I am proof that you can be into lolita fashion without spending hundreds on a dress smile

Awe, i'm a huge Lolita fan. My dad just ordered me a dress and some shoes that i'm guna wear at the OMG Con (yeah i'm a nerd ^_~) but even outside of the convention, i'll end up wearing it. ^^

One of my best friends loves to bake. He's always bringing or talking about some sort of sweet that he's made. Thought this looked yummie! And the site provides the recipe and servings ^_^

I like peach tea and eat it with ohagi. (a riceball with adzuki paste on the outside in case you didn't know) I like to bake and cook! I've got about 4 japanese cook books! I've memorized 10 recipes and I make my own.

Oh, wow, that's cool. What recipes are your favorites? Care to share? I only made Japanese food once for my parents an di made too much rice by accident! DX somehow I managed to cook the entire bag! I think my hand slipped. Or the recipe I was following was for more people than I had there.
