Fish wasn't entirely sure who Vale was, but he didn't want to know what exactly Quinn had done to him to piss him off so badly. His mind went there, imagining all sorts of bizarre circumstances. He elected not to ask, lest all his hard work be undone.
"They sell it around here. We grow the pot ourselves."
He shrugged, no big deal, and hauled Quinn to his feet.
"This is the part where you leave," he said gruffly.

Quinn giggled. "Then I'll have to come by more often to get some." He giggled some more, and threw his arms around the prophet's neck as he was pulled up to his feet. "Ooh, you're very strong, Mister!" He hugged the other boy close, and buried his face in Fish's neck.
"I don't want to leave! It's too much fun here, silly!" He remained limp, hanging off of Fish's neck. "Why would I leave?"
All this pot seems to have done is make you lazier.
Silly Mr. Q, that was the tea!

"No, you just don't seem to have gained any weight since you were four feet tall," grunted Fish, trying to pull Quinn off of him. It didn't work. He started trying to drag him across the room towards the window.
"You know, there's this thing called personal space," he said. It seemed like this was Quinn's first time being high. He wasn't handling it well. "And it's totally inappropriate," he continued. "Like, on a scale of one to ten of inappropriateness, this is somewhere around eight."
He tried again to disentangle himself from Quinn in order to shove him out the window, but it still seemed to be a futile effort. He didn't like the feel of someone else's breath against his gills. It was making breathing awkward.

Quinn laughed, and planted his heels hard in the ground to make dragging him to the window harder. He looked up at Fish's eyes, and grinned lopsidedly. "Only an eight? I can do better!" He proclaimed, and pushed his face up to force his lips against Fish's. After holding himself there for at least a second or two, he pulled back and looked triumphant.
"That had to be at least a nine! Oo, maybe I should try for a ten..."

Fish shoved Quinn away from himself and began to make a valiant effort to push him out the window. "You can't do stuff like that!" he exclaimed, feeling violated. He had not asked to be kissed. He had not wanted to be kissed. But clearly Quinn lost all his inhibitions when he was high.
"I told you to leave," he hissed. "You're tired, delirious, and stoned."
"Go home."

"All of that is very true! But I don't want to go home!" Suddenly, Quinn braced his feet against the edges of the window and pushed off, hard, so that he could half flip half topple over Fish's head back into the room. He landed with a thud face first on the floor, and flipped himself over so that he was grinning back up at Fish.
"You're more fun than my mom! She doesn't ever talk. But you do! You're my friend, and gave me this wonderful tea!" He pushed himself up into a standing position. "Let's go wake up Moony!" He staggered over to the door Fish had looked through a few minutes ago, and reached for the door, taking a deep breath in preparation for a yell.

If there was one thing Fish knew he could not do, it was that he could not be caught by his gossipy roommate in the company of a strange, shirtless teenaged boy. Rather than wait for the inevitable disaster or continue trying to get Quinn out of the appartment, Fish did the only thing that made sense.
He ran. He vaulted over the windowsill, grabbed his sandals off the fire escape porch, and took the ladder three rungs at a time. He'd let Quinn deal with Moony's hangover. He was out of here.

Quinn ignored the fact that Fish was gone, and yanked open Moony's door and yelled.
"MOONY! HEY MOONY! DOYOUREMEMBERMEITSMEQUINNIMISSEDYOUHOWHAVEYOUBEENWAKEUP!" He strutted over to Moony's bed, and knelt down beside it, switching to a whisper.
"Sorry. I shouldn't have yelled." He patted Fish's roommate's head. "Remember me?"

Moonblossom sat bolt upright, ears ringing. She stared at the strange man by her bed.
"I have a question," she said, rubbing her eyes. "What."
It was not a question. It was not even a coherent thought. It was a word.
She blinked at the man and rolled off her mattress onto the side of the room away from him. She picked up the phone.
"What," she repeated. "What the ******** are you doin'."
She hit 'talk'.
"I'm calling the police," she said. "That's your cue to leave."

Quinn furrowed his brow, trying to come up with something to say. "Stop," He began, and believed this to be a very good beginning, but was having trouble coming up with the rest. "Because Fish invited me. And I brought Ice Cream! And, we're friends, remember?" He crawled up onto the bed over to Moonblossom's side, and lifted up to give her a hug. "Don't call the police! I'm not here to rob you or anything. Fish gave me chamomile tea and weed!"
He giggled. "And then he ran away."

Moony had no idea what was going on. All she knew was that she had been incredibly drunk last night, and might still be, and she had a terrible headache, and that this guy couldn't possibly be Fish's friend because Fish wasn't a creep and didn't invite random creepers into the house.
She shrieked.
"GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT."
And then she dialed the three digit code for the local police.

"Fine, fine." Quinn stalked back into the living room and picked up his bag of spray paint. "Ice cream's in the freezer." He furrowed his brow again, and seemed to think there was something he was supposed to say next. Then he looked triumphant, and said: "Don't wait up for me, I might be home late." He then jumped happily out of the window and down the fire escape, looking around.
"Maybe I should go take a nap!" He said, then shook his head, apparently forgetting that he was supposed to sleep. "Nah." He finally decided to go do some drawings in his pot-induced state.
Fish's neighborhood would wonder for several days what crazy person had drawn pictures of cups of chamomile tea eating people all over their walls.
"I'm gonna need some more of that tea."
