Everyone has a different story, what's yours?

I got into the Japanese fandom first. My older sister and I used to be big manga fans and we went to Otokan around 2004, 2005 ish. When we were there, we met some people that got us interested in Dir en grey. They are an extreme J-rock/J-metal band. Not for the feint of heart 0.o. Well, that started me off. After them i went through phases with The Gazette, Miyavi, Lark' en ciel, Mucc, Tokio Hotel (Yeah I went a bit into German for a bit), An Cafe, Rurutia, Gackt, those kinda of bands. To this day I'm still an avid Dir en grey and Mucc fan. I've seen Dir en grey live 3 times and Mucc live once. (Plus I might be seeing Dir en grey again this summer because there's rumors of another tour!

Then one day last summer my sister's friend (that she met because of J-rock) sent her some DBSK stuff. My sister was playing it in the car one day. I. was. hooked. That day when we got home she showed my Purple Line. From that moment on I was completely obsessed. Now, I absolutely love DBSK, SHINee, and Big Bang ^^

What about you guys?

I guess it's about the same for me ^^

1)When I was still in Korea (I lived there until the end of 5th grade), I've been addicted to Manga and manwha, J/K-animes.
Sailor Moon, Star-train 999 (closest translation I can come up with ^^ I LOVED this...singing the theme song in the old days..), Pokemon XD haha

2) I moved to Germany to live there for a year and half, and I was still into Korean things. My dad bought me TVXQ's HUG book, and I only listened to them as well as my old favorites: G.O.D, FIN.K.L etc..

3) I moved to Denmark, first I was addicted to US celebrities: name them all lol, beyonce, christina aguilera, etc etc etc. But I gradually began to read Japanese manga (Inuyasha!) and listening to Ayumi Hamasaki.

4) Then I moved into Japanese fandom. More mangas and animes...Fruits Basket, Vampire Knight, ah...can't remember D: but those are the ones that came in my mind instantly ^^

5) Korean fandom: Listning to lots and lots of Korean music, watching Korean movies. Lol, that was a year ago. ^^ That's also when I caught up with the current music after a 5 year's gap ^^

6) I'm slightly entering the Japanese fandom again, but I'm keeping a good balance. HYDE :3 Japanese movies...I began to be slightly interested in Naruto and Bleach, listening to the theme music....

When I first watched Inu-yasha I fell in love with "Change the world". Soon I was listening all of V6's songs. Then I came across their song "One" that they did with Shoo from SES. Then I listened to some k-pop... literally K'pop. The groups name was Kpop XD. After that I picked up some BigBang Songs. It wasnt until I listened to Iyah from H.O.T heart that I fell in love with korean songs. Now Kpop takes up my whole mp3 player (almost XD if i had enough there would be only korean songs XD)

Well, I really can't remember. I think I got into Japanese first (because of manga's) but it wasn't long until I found out how better Korean Dramas, and music were. And now that all the watch and listen to, they seem to have a better grasp on music than any other musicians out there.
