Thought I'd post a couple of my Argentina Black and White Tegu. His name is Cygnus (or Siggy for Short). He's over two feet long now.. still a baby though.. 9months old. They grow to be about 4-5ft long.

Shanna66 so cute. is he in his adult enclosure yet? or are you keeping him in a smaller area until maturity? He's in a smaller one at the moment... His adult one's my next big project. I'm just waiting for my birthday tomorrow to see how much birthday money I get to help out with it. They're expensive! believe me! it will cost me a few hundred to build it! But I look forward to it biggrin I want that 8ft enclosure to be perfect 3nodding

Tegus are pretty cool. I've worked allot with them, but most of them were aggressive. If you get them tamed down their just like dogs.

Yeah his enclosures going to be really expensive to build, but I'm looking forward to it. Another project... and i get to costume design it!
As for their Aggression, there are different breeds of Tegus, and some are much more aggressive than others, such as the Columbian Tegu. Any lizard can be aggressive if their owners dont take the time to tame them.
And like you said, Zambimaru, if you get them tamed down, the Argentina Black and White Tegu is like a Dog biggrin
Cygnus is extremely tame. It's great when you can bring him in a petstore and have four year olds petting him with nothing to fear.
