Hiko watched Naraku carefully after she admitted that she was pregnant. He looked slightly surprised,then grinned mailciously.

"Now I will have proper children,not some cranky wind witch and a mute mirror-holding girl." Said Naraku wickedly. Kagura,in the next room,slowly began to torture a little doll which looked like Naraku. Kanna,in a very abnormal action,raised her mirror threateningly in Naraku's direction,while muttering "b*****d." Hiko wanted to smack the smug expression off his face,and was about to,when she sensed InuYasha approaching.

Naraku walked out calmly to face InuYasha. Hiko watched from a tower,Ema standing next to her. Hiko devoutly hoped that Ema,and Mokimo,her best friend,wouldn't get hurt in this. None of the other mistresses either.

She watchd as Kagura toko an expert look at the battle,and began attacking Naraku. Hiko watched worriedly,and in admiration,as sweat beaded down Kagura's face. She was continuing to fight for her freedom despite the fact that Naraku was squeezing her heart. Then Hiko turned hr attention on InuYasha's wind scar cutting through the ground,aiming for a fatal strike at the form of Naraku.

Naraku was incinerated. InuYasha turned to the castle and glimpsed Ema and Hiko in the tower. He grinned evilly and sent a wind scar coursing through the ground. Ema shrieked and pushed Hiko down the stairs.

"You must go my child! Moki awaits outside by the oak. Run,and save yourself!" Ema shouted. Hiko complied,tears streaming down her cheeks. ema,seeing that she was safely out of the way,turned to face the wind scar nd brought her hands out. She let out a gobbling shriek, and the wind scar died just as it her. Crying even more now,Hiko found Moki. She heard some shouting and turned. Standing there,soot-streaked,understanding in her eyes,was Kagome.

"Please Kagome,don't tell InuYasha. I just want to get away...So my children can grow up without fear of death." Hiko pleaded. She knew that Kagome could tell that she was pregnant and that the father was Naraku. Kagome gave a small smile.

"I won't. All I want is to bless my grandchildren. I will tell InuYasha that you perished in the wind scar he did." Kagome said.

"You forgive me then? For the whole InuYasha kissing me thing?" Hiko asked worriedly. Kagome nodded,then walked over to touch Hiko's slightly bulging stomach.

"Live long live,my grandchildren. You will have twins." Kagome said,drawing her hand away. She gave Hiko one last hug before running off. Hiko regarded Kagome's form running off for a minute before following Moki into the forest.

One morning,as the dew covered the grass,the wails of two infants cut through the still air.

"Hoki! Twins! Just as Kagome predicted! Hoki? Hoki? NO! Hoki! Wake up! Please! Think of your children! You can't die on them! HOKI!" Moki said,her voice rasing as she went on.

"Moki...Listen to me. I know I will not survive to see my children's first birthdays. So please,look after them........And tell them about me,and their father. I want them living no lies. The one with eyes as black as a void.....Name her..Yami.....And the one with the silvery-white eyes,name her..Hikari. That is my final wish,good friend-. Bury me by the well." Hiko managed to stutter out,her breath catching. A few minutes later,just as the sun arose,Hiko died peacefully in sleep. Complying to her friend's wishes,Moki named the twin with silvery-white hair and eyes Hikari,and the one with silvery-white hair and black eyes Yami. Both twins carried a spider shaped birthmark on their left temples. After Moki had finished burying Hiko by the "dry well" as villagers nearby put it,Moki hoisted the twins on each hip.

"Come now,Yami,Hikari,let us go find shelter. A storm is brewing tonight. it will be a long journey to a safe place.I will tell you of you mother on the way. She was a beautiful fair maiden,who was captured by the evil Naraku,your father..Now one day,as Hiko walked along......"Moki began,rocking the twins back and forth gently as she went down the well marked path.
