Hope this is right...

Name: Nikko Jones
Nickname: Nek
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Patrol: N/A
Rank: Recruit
Personality: Stand offish and cold to most everyone she meets, her face is almost always etched in a scowl or some type of frown. She finds it harder to maintain her usual reluctance towards others with smaller children for some reason, why that is exactly is unknown to her, since she has no desire to have children of her own or even find any type of close companionship passing the boundary of freind.
History: Her parents both being Wolf Riders, she was raised by an uncle along with two other children, another girl and a boy. It never really bothered her that they had chosen their duties over family, though it didn't give her any motivation on becoming a Wolf Rider herself unless something happened to give her a reason to, either. Instead she remained content with the small if makeshift family she had become a part of. The boy, Taren, was alright; the girl, Kuit, always got on Nikko's nerves as cocky and narcussistic; and the uncle always did his best to keep them happy with life in general. She learned to live with them, though tensions built regularly between Nikko and Kuit.
They came to a height in Nikko's sixteenth year when Kuit was trying to dare Nikko into climbing to the top of the City's walls to see who could stay up longer before getting scared and climbing back down. Kuit had always been one to start a dare or competition of some sort to prove she was the best, and Nikko brushed it off as just such another attempts, effectively ignoring the jibs Kuit sent her way until Kuit unexpectedly lost her temper and began shouting.
She claimed that Nikko always thought she was better than Kuit and was refusing her dares to avoid being proven wrong. Her usual scowl deepening, Nikko requested that Kuit simply leave her alone. Kuit had been about to drag Nikko from the house when Taren came in, his quiet and mousy ways usually getting Kuit to settle down and Nikko to attempt a conversation farther than 'What do you want?' and 'No, now go away.' He succeeded in calming Kuit, offering to take the dare in Nikko's place, Nikko rolling her eyes and acquiesting to go with if only to keep Kuit from inadvertantly causing some sort of harm to befall Taren.
Once they were on top of the section of wall that was a far far cry away from the city, Kuit began trying to improve and expand upon the dare, as usual. First it was to see who could walk closer along the edge without falling off, then it escalated into who could run faster towards the edge to stop just before eaching it. Finally it had gotten to the point of attempting flips and somersaults on the walltop. Nikko merely stood with a bored expression replacing her scowl while Kuit kept trying to egg her into trying a backflip, Taren trying to get as close to the center of the top and away from the dizzyingly far from the ground edge as he could.
Kuit was just in the middle of trying to complete a successful backflip, another attempt at proving herself though Nikko was yet again paying no attention, when she slipped and dropped from the edge with a cry. Nikko and Taren both spun around in time to see her teetering. The girl screamed and both Nikko and Taren dove for her at once. Reaching Kuit first, Nikko snatched at her arm and was almost wretched from the wall herself as Kuit's form came to a sudden stop against the stone. Taren grabbed her other arm and they hauled her back onto the walltop. In her near panicked state Kuit clutched at whoever was closer to her, which happened to be Nikko, causing them both to lose their balance again and fall over. Taren was knocked over by their fall and fell with a silent scream from the wall to hit the ground headfirst.
Neither had wanted to admit that their carelessness had just gotten their sibling killed, Nikko especially so since she had originally gone to make sure something bad did not happen. Kuit whirled on her and spat that it was her fault for not outright accepting the dare and that her failure to do so had not only brought Taren along but had proven that Kuit was better than her. Not able to wrap her mind around the fact that her so-called sister was more concerned about Nikko's supposed downfall than Taren's death in saving Kuit's life, Nikko had socked Kuit in the face and walked away, leaving the shocked and now bloody-lipped girl to stare at her retreating form and shriek in frustration.
Nikko came to the decision that she could not return to her now broken little family. Her uncle was not overly close to either of the two girls and taken a special fondness only for Taren, who was now gone on account of the girls. She suspected Kuit would probably either go home and blame the whole thing on her or would not return to thier dwelling place as Nikko was deciding to do. Trying to turn the situation into something with meaning, meaning other than her own failure as she reluctantly saw little truths surfacing in Kuit's logic, she turned to the Academy. It would teach her discipline, how to fight, how to protect, and hopefully how to keep from making foolish mistakes.
Her sense of honor and duty was not overly strong, but her sense of family began to strengthen those small feelings of the need to defend those who were small and quiet like Taren, who were the easier targets to the dark mishaps of the world.
