As our technology grows, the future of video games look bright. This is a peek at that bright, shining future.
Advances in technology have created both A.I., and super advaced holographics that have a physical presense called 'solidgrams'.
This technology has been developed by a powerfull company now entirely in control of the gaming universe, and has release what it calls 'VG Cubes' containing a solidgram programmed to look, and act, as would a classic video game character.
These cubes became very popular, and people would have them fight, to determine who was the ultimate duelist.
Tournaments have been held in a vast number of places, around the world.
Now, some of the greatest names in dueling, as well as unknown battlers, have been invited to a mysterious estate on an island far from civilization, and none of them know why.
And, waiting in the shadows, a darkness threatens this bright future.

Hero Characters ~~~~ Name: Drew Trent (Sheraedan) Age: 20 Gender: Male Type: Hero Appearance: Picture(Will update when I get it inked and colored) VG 1: Name: Thrall, Warchief of the Horde Game: Warcraft III, World of Warcraft Appearance: ThrallVG 2: Name: Ike Game: Fire Emblem: Path of radiance, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Super Smash Bros. Brawl Appearance: IkeBackground: Drew grew up in a small town, out in the middle of no where. He was not rich. He adventually grew tired of his town, and just left.He used the money he had saved up from his dead end job at a fast food joint to buy his first VG. It was Thrall. The two got off to a rocky start, to say the least. However, they adventually settled their differences, and are now close friends. A few years later, he had earned enough money in small town tournaments to buy his second VG, which happened to be Ike. Ike rounded out the group to three, and they won a few more tournaments together. Nothing major, and they were in no way famous. Drew was surprised when he found he had an invitation to attend a tournament of champions. At least, he assumed it was a tournament of some sort. The invitation had left out most details. ~~~~ Name: Charlie Taft (Clutch 45) Age: 22 Gender: male Type: Hero Appearance: [x]Tall, athletic and well built. He has more than enough confidence in himself to drown the western hemisphere. His emerald green hair is always sweot back as though the wind has blown it into spikes. He has eyes like feint blue crystals, and a loud mouth. VG 1: Name: Sonic The Hedgehog Game: errmm... Sonic The Hedgehog Appearance: [x]Background: Charlie has always been the star athlete. He did well with his grades, but on the field, he was unstoppable. Nothing could get in his way, and no one could stand between him and victory. Over the years, he had earned the nickname Clutch, because of his remarkable speed, and his ability to execute and remember specific plays and maneuvers with the precision of a machine. He was popular in school, but was never satisfied. He believed he was destined for something more, all he needed to do was find out what. Whatever it was though, he knew it would huge. He was gonna be famous. Like no one ever was before him, or anyone ever will be after. Then he got his VG. Naturally, he chose Sonic the Hedgehog, a match for his confidence as well as his athletic abilities. Now he’s completely convinced that he’ll someday save the world. Single-handedly. ~~~~

He has long, silver hair, and penetrating crimson eyes. He is also slight of frame. He has tried several times to buy VG outrtight, and has failed. Despite this, he is an avid VG fan, following even minor tournaments no one else pays attention to. So when he heard that it was possible to become a professional gamer, he dropped out of school and devoted all his time to it. Villain Characters ~~~~ Name:James (Jade Ralden) Age:18 Gender:Male Type (Hero, Neutral, Villain):Villain Appearance: Pic.Background: James' goal in life has always been to make tons of money and to help Team Rocket take over the world. Lately though, all failed attempts to steal rare pokemon have left him rather sad. After one such failure, James sat with Jessie and Meowth chatting back and forth about the next plan. As they were putting together an idea involving dressing up as fast food employees, a letter fell into James' lap. Curiosity gnawing at him, he quickly open the letter to find that it was some kind of invitation to a tournament of sorts. They all sat wondering what it meant, when all of a sudden James was sucked into the letter and vanished. VG's~ Names: Roland, Althea, Rasche, Rina, Luna, and Sadie. Game:Luminous Arc II ~~~~

Brance Throston watched from behind an ornately carved desk as his first guests arrived at the front door. He smiled, and hit a single button on his desk.
Meanwhile, Drew Trent was about to knock on the massive front doors as they swung open of their own accord. "Uh..."
"Drew, I don't like this. It's got to be a trap." Drew's partner, the blue haired Ike seemed apprehensive, hand resting nervously on the hilt of his golden-bladed sword.
"I have to agree with him, little one. This does not feel right. Who is this human, anyway?" The large, burly orc clad in ornate armor was an imposing sight, he had two stone hammers at his belt, and one hand idly rubbed the cold stone, ready to grab it in a moments notice.
Drew sighed. "I know, I know... But we don't have the money to enter any tournaments right now... This is our only chance to not go broke... And, I have no idea who this guy is. Never heard of him. I did a search on him on the way, but got nothing. For all intents and purposes, a 'Brance Throston' does not exist. But, we don't have much of a choice right now, and we're already here.." He strode through the open doors, and found himself in a large chamber, with a fireplace and chairs off to one side. There were a few doors on one wall, but they were not open. Drew sighed again. "I guess we wait for someone to come..."

Kresnik walked toward the door with is two companions close behind as he saw 2 humans and a big green thing walk through it.
"Oh son of a b*****d are we gonna have to fight The Hulk AGAIN?" Kresnik said mostly to himself.
"I hope not. I feel kind of guilty fighting with angry people." Talim said timidly.
Malin chimed in, "I don't think so. Last I checked The Hulk doesn't wear armor. That blue haired guy looked kinda cute though"
"Yeah you would notice that wouldn't you Malin? Just try to stay focused until after you've messed him up a bit."
The three walked through the already opened door and up to the group that had preceded them. "Hey. You here for this Brance Throston guy too?" He said to Drew.

"Yeah. This is supposed to be some sort of tournament, but... I dont know. Just feels wierd to me." He sighed heavily, put his arm on the nearest chair, and vaulted himself over the arm to land on it with the chair only arguing mildly at the sudden addition of weight.
Ike looked around. "This place is huge. Dammit, I hate dealing with nobles... everything gets so complicated once they get involved..."
Thrall grunted. "I agree. If this Thorston can afford such accomodations... He must also have the ability to defend his lands. It would be best not to incite his wrath before we know how strong he is."
Drew nodded, information speeding across his visor as he attempted to gain more information on the new arrivals. Everything from battle strategies to statistics, to pet peeves. Most of the information could be seen as irrelevant, but Drew liked to know about those he might be fighting.

He could hear others talking just inside the huge double doors that hung open in front of him. This must be it. You ready? He turned to look at his companion. This is it - the ultimate chance to show 'em!
Sonic the Hedgehog looked Through the open doors ahead of him. Ha! You kiddin'? The only reason I'm not in there already's cuz a you, Slo-mo! He looked up at the the man he'd come to trust, raising an eyebrowas he waited for a response.
HEY! You little-- He aimed a fist at Sonic's shoulder, but before it could connect the hedgehog was nowhere to be found, though his laughter could still be heard. A nasty smile covered the young man's face. You better not disappear. You do and I'll shut you down!
Oh, yeah? That so? Sonic laughed aloud from behind his freind. Once he had turned around, Sonic cocked his head slightly and winked at him. You wouldn't do that, now would you? After all, without me, who'd keep you from freaking out in a battle?
Yeah, go ahead, laugh it up. You know if you didn't have me to guide you you'd be hopless in the ring. After all, He looked down at Sonic. Wasn't it me who told you how to beat Gannondorf? You never would've figured that out yourself, and you know it! So now Who's the Slo-mo? He smirked as he walked up to the massive doors.
Sonic smiled broadly, looked up and said, You!
He sighed with closed eyes and shook his head. Finally, he straightend his shoulders and strutted through the open doors. Here we go!

Jessie and Meowth watched as the letter instantly burned and was soon ashes blowing away in the wind. Recovering from what had just transpired, James got to his feet and found himself on a beach, the ocean crashing against the shoreline behind him. James was confused, as anyone would be, and decided to try and find out what was going on. He found a small path through the trees and walked along until he came to a rather large estate. Oooo! With such a grand house, there are bound to be valuables inside. James thought to himself greedily. Now to find a way in. Some strange looking people walked by and he quickly took cover behind a nearby bush. He watched as they made their way inside the large front doors. There it is. He waited just outside the doors. Now for a fitting disguise.
Moments later, James made his way through the front doors and into a large room, where the people were gathered talking to a man behind a desk. This Butler disguise will work wonders, Ash will never know that it's really me....... wait....... Ash isn't here....... and these people don't know who I am anyway...... oh well, at least I look dashing in this uniform. He quickly ran about the place cleaning and dusting, hoping to maintain his disguise.

As Drew watched the 'butler' for a moment, his visor ran with information. For some reason, his visor didn't like this butler, and was spewing forth a bunch of gibberish that Drew had never thought possible. The 'butler' appeared to be a contestant in the tournament, but had the signature of a VG. What was wierder was that the 'butler' was entered in the tournament as the duelist, and not a VG. This was what was causing the malfundtion. As the visor searched desperatly for any way to reason this, it was spewing forth random chunks of information. The visor soon calmed down, but seemed to refuse to acknowlede the 'butler' any further. "Hmmm..."
