What we find sexy may not always be healthy or safe. So here I'd like to talk about the differences and maybe how we can make them the same.

I'm too direct a person to dance around terminology usage.
We're discussing ANOREXIA, correct?
I personally don't find it attractive in the least. Not only that, but it's far less healthy than posessing some extra of the opposite. That's right, I mean fat. Not celulite mind you, but some natural, healthy fat stores.
It sickens me that our culture puts so much focus on being "thin" that people litterally torture themselves to achieve this impossible image.
I'm all for reasonable diet and excercise, but there is a limit and 9 out of 10 times, "short cuts" are simply dangerous, damaging, and ultimately ineffective methods to achieving the desired effect.
To be beautiful.

-K I completely agree with you. Women are supposed to have fat stores in moderation. Women were designed with babies in mind. That is why males are more preconditioned to look for women with wider hips, healthy glow... etc... Women who are anorexic are too thin and sickly looking, they dont look like they can sustain theirself much less a growing fetus.

Not that I don't agree, but millions of people see this and envy this. So please allow me to play devil's advocate and challenge the 'right' image.

Shadow_n1n Than what's your opinion of this? I personally believe that this image is of what a "budding" teenage girl should look like. Thin body with breast coming into their own. There is nothing other than the breast that makes this person look like a woman. The rest of it makes her look like a 13 year old. (provided you dont look at the face) I believe that it is almost borderline *****.

About the first image: I personally look at that woman and feel envy that I don't look like that, when I'm in an unhealthy state of mind about my body. However, when I'm not feeling emo about being a normal woman, instead of a pre-pubescent one, I also see that her thighs are thinner than a normal woman's lower calf, and that her ribs are sticking out, and that her breasts look like a thirteen year old girls. I don't find those parts sexy, and neither do many men I know. My boyfriend certainly likes a healthy woman more than a bony one. And that is good. It makes me feel everything is right with the world. And what do you think of a woman who looks like this? (not the costume, obviously, but the figure) Sure, I could lose a few pounds. But that girl could stand to gain quite a few aswell.

I personally envy the first girls stomach. I am pretty confident about every other part of my body except my stomach and hips.
I don't feel that every girl should look like this. Women come in all shapes and sizes. I personally would rather be physically healthy with some chub than stick thin.
