PJO... I think that probably means Percy Jackson & the Olympians... at least I sure hope so because if not I'm going to be in trouble for posting this ^^. Oh well. In this thread, post your favourite characters from the series (please only one character per post) and why. Long explanations and character analysis appreciated-- just saying a name won't cut it. One of my favourite characters from PJO is Clarisse La Rue.

Now, you're probably thinking--Clarisse? WTF? But hear me out.

The old Clarisse I'm not really a fan of, because the was merely a summer camp bully. And that's what most people still see her as. No, she will probably never be friends with Percy, just too much happened between them for that to be an option.

But Clarisse has matured from that very much, especially on Battle of the Labyrinth. Her energies are no longer only able to be vented by picking fights with other campers, and she now sees the importance of the war ahead. The romance and healing with Chris shows that she has human emotions and compassion we can all relate to, and she's not all bad.

Clarisse is a hero, shadowed by Percy and his friends, but a true hero nonetheless. She took on a quest in the Labyrinth all by herself, and not only came out alive but saved someone else. And of all the things you can say about Clarisse, a daughter of Ares--rude, mean, violent, even thuggish, she is brave. To the point of stupidity, perhaps, but she is pretty darn brave. And remember, she's an ADHD halfblood too.

I'd also like to point out that quests are supposedly pretty rare at Camp Half-Blood, so being assigned one is amazing within itself.

Also, Clarisse has been mentioned to be a year-rounder, and seems to have been at camp nearly as long as Annabeth has, possibly longer and they're the same age. I wonder what her story is.

Percy and Clarisse are also very much alike.

For instance, in the Demigod Files, they are both shown their worst fear. Clarisse thinks she is seeing her father, Ares, reprimanding her, and Percy thinks he is seeing his friends at their knees, begging him to make a choice. They both have a lot resting on their shoulders and fear the same basic thing: Failure. Letting everyone down on something important.

They also have in common a very classic hero trait-- mercy. Percy was humane and good, and he gave Ethan Nakamura a second chance in Battle of the Labyrinth. Clarisse gave that chance to Chris Rodriguez.

And... I've got a lot more on that but I don't feel like typing any more now, I'll edit later. But yeah this is pretty much the type of thing I'm looking for on this thread.

Demigod Files, no it's just a side teaser, and other than a map of Camp Half Blood and finding concrete proof the ship Silena+Beckendorf happens, it's really not worth it. They are all SO out-of-character, it's terrible. Except for the mini-story with Clarisse and Percy fighting for the chariot thing, which is almost passible.

its a book called percy jakson and the oylmpians the demi-god files.it has short storys in it like clarrisee uses her dads chariot buts its stolen by phobos and deminos so naturaly percy is sucked into yet an another adventure.percy the next story is about capure the flag. as the game goes on beckendorf ends up in a ant hill filled with giant man-eating ands so anabeth selina and percy have to repair a automan dragon to save him.in the next story percy, nico, and thaila go to the underworld to help retrive hades sword that has one of his underworld keys in it.the book also features q&a's from the books charecters along with a preview of the last olympian
