It took me awhile when they started calling him Light and at first I thought it was stupid, but now I don't. I call him both names often. It depends who I'm talking to thoguh. I don't call L "Eru" though. I still have to get used to that. sweatdrop But yeah all my friends are starting to argue about their names and it's really getting annoying.
As for Remu I call him Rem and Ryuuku I sometimes call him Ryuk. sweatdrop

The Missing Puzzle Piece Kansai Gal Inane Whimsies Kansai_Gal Nail=-=Bunny I call him Raito sinse that was his name first, and sinse Light sounds totally stupid. The creators don't think it's stupid. I don't think it's stupid either, and Raito is just like Light but with an o at the end basically. I actually think it's stupid to call him Raito out loud >.> it just sounds weird to me actually coming out of my mouth. So I only call him Light when actually talking about him and not typing about him. Hmm, well, it's never really bothered me because it's always just been a weird pronouncation of "moon" either way. sweatdrop
Now I'm confused. What does 月 mean in japanese? Light or Moon?

Since I will now call L 'Eru', I think calling Raito 'Moon' will be a great idea!
But it might cause some confusion though.月 is "moon", 光 is "light"

The Missing Puzzle Piece Wuu You know it actually took me a few chapters to realize people were refering to Raito when they said Light. I think it was when Raito came home and Misamisa was scantly clad and goes 'Liiiiiight !!<3' or something like that. 'Omigosh, Light is Kira is Raito!? No frickin waaay' Wow. You thought they were two seperate people? I dont know what I was thinking. stare

Yeah, Gaia changes things to Unicode. If you can't see something, try Unicode encoding.
