It says that the hostages, when they travel, have a guard assigned to them. When will their guards be assigned, because I have a dormant character right now who is a hostage with nowhere to go.

Oh great and wise guild masters, I offer a humble suggestion unworthy of your sight. My character has the ability to produce a nearly innumerable amount of undead servants, this does not fall into his calling as strategist, but, would that be useful to you? You could have easily producable guards at nearly any moment, and there would be no RP limbo caused by guards and hostages. This is merely a suggestion however.

Hm...I'm thinking we could use that for minor jobs, but if the hostages were constantly led around by those servants, I would find it hard to keep those hostage characters active.
