By html-ifying, I don't mean doing anything fancy. Just put some

tags aroung each paragraph,

tags around subheadings, and thats it. I'll add in the images, and I already have a stylesheet done to make them all look pretty 3nodding So its really not hard. I'll send out the articles as Word Documents to anyone who is willing to help.

Launch is still set for 1st February, so lets all get this finished soon!

I can HTML-afy stuff but I can't do much as far as proof reading is concerned, as I simply can't spell to save lives... if you want me to run the PCs spellchaech and then read for grammer and content, I can do that, I just can't promise to catch spelling erors... I make all my teachers go Huh? eek after I get A's and then ask them how to spell 5th grade spelling words sweatdrop sweatdrop sweatdrop sweatdrop sweatdrop

I will proof read the color and photoshop articles. Please just send me the articles in a .txt file though. Word messes up stuff when I throw it in DreamWeaver.

Thanks to everyone who have offered to help! Here's the new list of who's doing what:

- Color article (BlancoMorir)
- Photshop Basics article (BlancoMorir)
- Pen tool article (retrokitty)
- Tips and Hints (Chisa)
- Soft Style CG (Lord_Michieru or Raine Dragon)

Krystal_DigitaliS - I'll probably find something for you to do soon 3nodding

Please PM me your email address so I can send you the text file (thanks for mentioning that BlanoMorir, I forgot how Word puts in weird characters). Once you receive it, please follow the steps below . I know most of you know how to code html, but I pu this up here just to be on the safe side. If you are using Dreamweaver or some other kind of html editor, PLEASE make sure it doesn't put any weird tags in (I don't want to see any tags please >.<).

Please get these back to me ASAP, by 28th January at the latest. Let me know if you have trouble finishing it, so I can get someone else to do it, or do it myself. It shouldn't take too much of your time though.

Easypeasy Guide to HTML-ifying Articles

1. Open up the .txt file I sent you in Notepad or something similar.

2. Proof read and fix up and spelling/small grammatical errors.

3. Copy and paste the following code right at the top of the file:

navigation

Article Title

4. Change where it says Article Title to the name of the article.

5. Go through the article and put

at the start of each paragraph, and

at the end of each paragraph, eg.

When scanning in a sketch for colouring, try to scan at 300 to 400dpi, so you have a nice big image to work with, which makes getting clean lines and fine details much easier. Remember to resize to an appropriate size when you're done.

When drawing, don't depend too heavily on tutorials. Use them as a starting point, then try to explore your own style and ways of doing things rather than being dedicated to what your favourite artist said to do. What works well for some people may not work as well for others.

6. If you see something that looks like its supposed to be a subheading, put

at the start of the subheading, and

at the end, like this:

Preparation

To start sketching, first of all you will need a pencil, paper, a good eraser, and an idea. The
idea doesn't have to be completely specific at this stage, but you need to have a general idea of
what/who your subject is going to be, the pose, the costume, the setting, the mood you want to convey,
and the purpose, if this piece is going to be used in some way other than expressing yourself
through art.

4. Copy and paste the following code at the very end of the article:

5. Click File > Save As, and save the file as a .html file (like: articlename.html)

6. Email the html-ified article to the guild at: gdguild@gmail.com .

And thats it!
