P r i d e .. I n f o r m a t i o n Welcome to the Prides guild! Because prides work a specific way, I ask that you read and understand all of the rules and information posted within this guild.
If you are here, you have been chosen/volunteered to be a part of the prides trial group. Due to a recent idea, the staff of Pride Lands has been discussing a possibility of creating a separate guild for lion prides. We made a poll within the main thread, which most agreed on the idea, but the number of people who disagreed wasn't far behind. Because of this, we decided to set up a little FAQ thread as well as a survey for those who may or may not be interested. Results of the surveys concluded that while some people enjoyed the idea, others did not and were worried about how it would hold up.
So instead of jumping right in and finalizing things, we want to make sure everyone will stay happy with prides and how they're running. Which brought us to make this trial run! Prides will run the new way here and the staff will be able to make changes and decide upon things thanks to those are willing to act as our experiments (>D).
Have fun!

T h e .. R u l e s
These rules are to be followed by regulars and newcomers alike. There are no exceptions for these rules, they are here for a reason. P r i d e .. R u l e s
There is no limit as to how many prides can be created. Unlike the cheetahs and hyenas, lion prides are made without any pre-made prides Prides cannot exceed over 100 members. This does NOT include the King, Queen, and their offspring (so aunts, uncles, grandchildren, etc. are counted into that total) A single person can create as many prides as they feel they can keep up with. Please do not make more than you can handle. We rather not have a bunch of dead pride subforums hanging around You may place your lion in any pride, but you must read that pride's rules! Although most prides generally have the same rules, some may not. Be sure to read over the pride's entire introduction thread/rules of their subforum before submitting/posting in their thread Try and pick a pride that your lion would be most comfortable with based on the King and Queen's personality Males may leave a pride at any time, but females must ask permission from the King or Queen In the event of a King or Queen leaving the pride/abandoning it/loosing his/her territory/becoming inactive, leadership will be passed down to the royals of the family Please make a mule for your pride! In the event you lose a battle that was fought over ranking, and a subordinate takes your King/Queen's place, the owner of that new King/Queen will need access to the mule to change information, rules, members, etc. This will save them from having to message you all of the time for changes More will be added as needed

It is recommended that you use a color for each lion you role play. This prevents confusion if role playing with more than one lion at a time No god-modding or role playing of another person's pet unless they say otherwise! Respect your role playing partners and their feelings Lions should respect their higher ranked members unless disagreement is part of the role play! Arguments with the King/Queen may result in punishment or exile depending on the severity and/or the King/Queen's personality. They most likely know what is best for their pride so respect their decisions

F r e q u e n t l y .. A s k e d .. Q u e s t i o n s
In case you don't understand some of things you've read within the main subfourm so far, we've set up a list of some questions for things that cannot be explained in a rule-like format. If you are still confused about something after reading everything in this guild, feel free to post your question here. Will trial comes error, so please, let us know if we're missing something! Q u e s t i o n s .. A b o u t .. P r i d e s
So even if my lion has millions of children, they still don't count as the population? Nope! We don't want to have too many limits on prides. So the 100 member limit will only be towards pride members that aren't the children of the King and Queen What about adopted children, do they count? As long as people aren't pretending to adopt others just to squeeze by and miss that limit, then no, they do not count towards the 100 limit. We will be looking out for these types of people too Can there be two kings but no queen, or two queens and no king? Of course! We understand that there are a lot of same sex couples around here, so why shouldn't we let them run a pride? In fact, I believe it would make for some pretty interesting role play! Where can pride recruitment/interest happen? Those threads can be created here. Is the interest a RP thread or just talking? An interest thread is basically a rough outline about your pride. How it will work, what makes it different from others (if it's a non traditional pride), etc. There really shouldn't be any role play involved, just people posting and saying they would be interested in joining your pride, posting questions, etc. Can we change the ranks around some in our threads? You can alter whatever you want when it comes to the set-up of your subforum! You can call the ranks different things, make up your own ranks, etc. As long as the subforum functions somewhat like a pride, then you should be fine Can we also change the set up around? How you wish to set up your thread is defiantly up to you. In fact, we encourage being different in how your pride looks! I'm not really sure how I should set my pride up, can I have some help? If you don't know how to make your pride with your own touch, you are more than welcome to use Heaven's Hopes as an reference! It is basically an example of a more traditional pride
