Tare shook his head. "You're lucky I'm not Inu. He probably would have eaten the bird just for fun." He snickered at his sister and slipped out of the room, no doubt off to let everyone know she'd totally lost it.
Astor fluffed his feathers and dryly said,

Midora let out a snarl, growling after him: "If Inu tried to eat Astor, I'd eat HIM!"
She settled sullenly next to the perch. "Stupid brother."

If a hawk were capable of looking perplexed, Astor would have. As it was, he merely cocked his head and fixed his piercing hawk gaze on Midora.
