Ah, the old-school homepage. It was so happy and lovely.
The random items floating down every so often. It happened a lot more then it does now.
As for what we started with. I think it was 500g(?) and a peasant outfit.
I do remember we got a peasant outfit to start with, just not every put them on.
Although I remember there being only 4 shops when I joined. 2 in Barton and 2 in Gambino.
Also Ian's shop had a box that was linked to the list of all the items.

It was 400g.... so you couldnt buy a trading pass to send stuff over from mules.
I miss my peasant outfit.
The item list at Ian's shop was the best.

I remember the days of the peasant gear. I remember that it was so embarassing to wear it though. I left Gaia for a while after that. Good thing I kept my password on paper. I lost my earlier main, it was before Sept. 03. Tis' cool though.

I miss all the charm that comes along with a much smaller community. People were nicer, there were less idiots, and a better choice for roleplaying threads.. because that's what the site was all about!
But, I will admit, I do like plenty of changes that have happened since I joined in '03. The vast array of items being the first and foremost, lolz.
Oh.. and I never wore my peasant outfit, 'cept for the gloves.. which I still think look wicked cool, ahah. I remember working my butt off for all my stuff. D:

Hentai High School guild was the ******** best.
People who were never in that don't deserve to continue in Gaia. razz

glad to see that Yami and I weren't the only ones who went there out of this guild... stare I do more or less agree though.

I remember when their was that Personals Ad building in Barton town.
The pink building.
The ads people use to put up there were insane..
Asking for slaves and whatnot.
Alot of cybering went on around that time...hence the reason why they had to shut it down.
I use to ask for rp slaves for my vampire chick.
I made alot of friends from that..lol

I got peasant clothes...but I think I had to look in my inventory to find them.
When I joined...I found parents to take care of me. I don't really remember how that happened, but I got free items out of it.
I also remember doing a lot of random things...
-being a waitress in a bar
-running through a high level scary RPG
-being a dancer in a club
-spending time in a hotel
-hanging out in the woods and getting free drawn critters...then losing them when the artist friend got stuck in the hospital until he...um yea.
-joined a thread that turned into a guild when they came out...it was about hunting the opposite sex. Hahahaaa I was the master! Maybe...
-Oh I was kind of in a hentai high school thread but I am not sure what it was actually called. I remember the muffin incident...hahahaaa
-I finally tried the personals but I made an ad for things that were not related to dating/sex/friendship/etc. My goal was to see if I could be unique and interesting enough to get sane people to respond. It actually worked really well and I tended to get more replies than the others. I did get some weirdos though.
The domo would nibble me to death and I do not miss that little thing but I see that it can be brought back...dun dun duuuunnnnn
In general, the beginning went by so fast and did so many things that I lost contact with people easily.
I remember getting a lot of free stuff by luck or friends...until I went to Germany and was barely on. After I got on a lot again...everyone was gone...kind of...so sad.
