Simple conversations, but i can!!

meh can speak a small amount but meh should be studying and reading meh japanese for dummies and listen to the cd that with it

I can. After all, I am Japanese sweatdrop

I'm not very good at speaking it since there aren't any native speakers willing to help me practice. I'm better on paper. I've gotten A's all the way through 5 quarters of college level classes. I know hirigana and katakana obviously at this point. I also know about 300 kanji and just about all the grammar from the Nakama 1 and 2 textbooks. I need to get a transfer degree which should take me 2 more quarters and then I'm going to try to go to a four year and major in Japanese.

I've been learning for about 11months now and I am really suprised in how much I have developed. I am always learning but have the problem of understanding more than I can say but I am working on it - repeating phrase that Japanese people say that I understand so that I can remember them XD

I learnt Hirgana and Katakana in less than a month and every week I try and find atleast 10 new Kanji ^-^ I have almost 300Kanji in my kanji notebook so far biggrin

I have 2 dictionaries, I do that odd translation on Mystical_powers.livejournal.com and watch the TV Programmes, music - BASICALLY my whole life is Japanese now except from friends, family and where I am lol

I feel I am doing great for a beginner - I am still techinically a beginner as people say it take ages to master Japanese - but hope to inprove very much and I am also taking it at university =D

I talk to a lot of Japanese people as well online so this proves that I can understand and can communicate nicely +_+

I am proud of how much I have learnt in these 11months - going from not know anything to knowing LOADS!
