The tall stallion had his eyes on the quick moving currents below them, the rushing waters more than enough to put things into perspective. Had his footing have slipped and he tumbled into the waters surely that would have been it for him or anyone else. Ka did not fear death; however, he did not like the idea of Yi getting the crown without him there to challenge every little step she made.
That's what made a good leader. Having someone there to continuously challenge your ideas until you had inspected and checked every little aspect until the point you were sick of it. If in the end you still stuck to that decision, you knew it must have been a good one. That was Ka's ideal of a leader, but he saw his sister as too arogant and stubborn to even consider that logic.
The stallions ears twisted toward Zara as his gaze followed suit when she interrupted his thoughts, a small little smirk appeared on his muzzle. "What exactly do you consider worthwhile?"

Zara chuckled.
He was avoiding the chase. "Frightened are we?" she practically cooed. "You know what I mean."
She offered him the roll of her eyes and shook her head. "Or think you're too experienced. I promise to keep you guessing."

Heh, he was a stallion first and foremost, a young one at that. Not quite as young as his brothers, mind you, but Ka still had that rambunctious attitude about him.
That smirk remained upon his maw as the stallion took steps forward, paying no mind to his sore limbs. At a time like this, he could afford to ignore it.
"And here I thought tonight would be uneventful."
