As far as I know, we are the ones in a recession, and Japan is doing well. Our dollar is not as strong as it used to be so my flight to Japan is going to cost more than the exchange students from Japan to here.
I am just hoping we bump back from this before I go. 3nodding kute kitty kathy At least we aren't in a recession like Japan....yet...
You know, instead of throwing money at the economy, Obama should make jobs for the economy. Jobs=money=security=spending.
That's how Eisenhower did it in the 50's~ (Omg, McCain was half right? Now someone has to shoot me in the face. Bleh...)

D= To be in a recession, our GDP has to be at a marginal loss for 2 quarters. We are at a loss, but not marginally so. Japan most definitely is. The yen may be stronger than the dollar, but that doesn't mean Japan isn't in a recession. The only reason the dollar is goin down (just a little, 5 yen dif.) is b/c of inflation.
But it does bite that your ticket costs more than theirs now D=

Experienced and Professional Economists are saying that we are in a recession however, the GDP is not. In my opinion, their creditability is good enough for me however, I see your point. As for Japan, forgive me, I meant to say that their recession and economic troubles seem to be fairing better than ours due to the yen being stronger than the dollar. Demo yes, they are also in recession. Thank you for letting me correct my mistake, and thank you, I hope my ticket becomes cheaper later this year. 3nodding kute kitty kathy Yamaxchan As far as I know, we are the ones in a recession, and Japan is doing well. D= Did I upset u? I'm sorry (^^;;; It's just Japan's economy is biting the big one. The only reason the yen isn't inflating is b/c of government intervention. Y'know, Japan relies heavily on US markets and that hurts its export income.... Last month they had an unemployment rate of over 4% if I remember right (^^; Japan is most definitely hurting.
