I /FINALLY/ got to book plane tickets for between exams! Unfortunately the prices for NZ went from $210 to $386 overnighter cry So no NZ for me, I am not that rich.
INSTEAD! I am going to Perth!!! How exciting is that?? SUPER EXCITING I KNOW!!!!! I cant wait!!! I'm going the 10th-16th. I've already booked my hostel and everything! GO ME! I am so so so excited. Its only 4 weeks from today until I get to go! <3333
I'm going to end up spending the night in the airport again~ Lame. But it was $90 cheaper to get a late flight, and at least time I'm prepared so it wont that bad.
I can not waaaaait for Perth. I never thought I would get to go, I always thought it was way too expensive. Everyone wants to go to Perth. Whenever the internationals talk about where they want to go its always Cairns~Perth~Sydney. But everyone is all crying WHY DOES PERTH HAVE TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND SO EXPENSIVE??? and no one can go. BUT NOW I CAN GO. YAY ME.
I also REALLY want to go to Grampians before school ends. But it is expensive ;___; It is soooo close....it cost $80 to get there roundtrip. And $23/night accomadation D: I dont have that much money, sadly. At least I dont think I do. I dunno...maybe I can get it to work. Hopefully. I need to travel moooore. I have 3 weekends of nothing before I go to Perth, I need to fill them somehow! I guess I'll just have to wait and hope I have enough money.
Only 3 more days until the Great Ocean Road trip! Yaay!

I dont know why I'm updating but WHATEVER~ I havent really done anything since my last update. I went to the Great Ocean Road which was lots of fun. I saw lots of rainforests and ocean and stuff. It was pretty. There were REALLY giant trees.
And then since then I have been doing NOTHING. I accidently spent all my money on the trip and havent had cash since, which was two weeks ago. My bad. But its ok, my mom sent me money so I should get it Monday or Tuesday.
This week is going to be my last week of classes! I am SOOO excited. I really hate school work. Then I have a week of "study" and then one final and then!!! PERTH!!! I am SOOO excited for Perth. Its all hot and beachy and wonderful! Its all kinds of cold in Victoria now that its almost winter. I do not like it. I want it to be summer please. And it gets dark by 5pm everyday which I HAAAATE. Ugh. Cant wait to be home and be in summer time.
After Perth I have 1 more final, and then I am DONE!!! Then the next day I'm going to Melbourne to see WICKED!!! SOOOO EXCITED!!! Annnnd then I have to pack up all my stuff and fly out to Sydney to meet my brothers and spend a week there, and then a week in Cairns exploring the reef and stuff, and then a 26 hour plane ride and then HOME.
I am REALLY excited about going home smile But I am seriously going to miss all my friends here. We have to do a bunch of stuff this week before we all start leaving. We have a dinner thing for exchange students on Tuesday that the school hosts which should be really nice. Its only for people who live on res so there will only be like 10 people there, so nice and small and stuff. And then we want to have our own party on Friday, and then people start leaving Monday sad SO SOOOOOOON. It feels like I just met them! D: Buut I guess I'll get over it. And besides now I have an excuse to go visit everyone in their home countries biggrin THAT'LL BE SUPER FUN.

PERTH. TODAY. SO EXCITED.
These next few weeks are going to be sooo AH-MAZING.
I leave for Perth TODAY biggrin I'll be there the 10th - 16th and get back home the 17th. Red eye flight ftl? Except it was cheap soooo more ftw I guess.
I still have no clue when I'll be doing in Perth. Going to Rottnest Island and Kings Park for sure, but I'm not sure what else. I'm sure I'll find things to do when I'm there smile Maybe go snorkeling, depending on the price and temperature.
I really hope its warm there, but who knows. Its supposed to be warmer than Victoria but I dont think its by much. Btw I still barely understand celsius. I know 45 is 118, 0 is 32, and 16 is 60 biggrin But if its any degree other than that I have no clue.
Anywho~ When I get back from Perth I have a day of probably sleeping, because I'll get back at like 7am and will be super sleepy and stuff. Then my last exam is the next day. I'll have to pack everything up, that should be fun rolleyes THEN on the 19th is WICKED. I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE WICKED biggrin
I get to lug all my stuff onto a bus, then onto a train, then through Melbourne to my hostel. ANNOYING. Then I go see Wicked, then the next day I get to drag all my s**t from the hostel, back to the trainstation, then on a bus to the airport. Then God only knows how I'm getting from the airport to my hotel. I havent gotten that far yet. I do NOT want to be dragging my two giiiiiant suitcases, plus backpack, computer bag, and duffel bag all over Australia. Ugh.
ANYWAYS. After I do all that, I get to get on a plane to SYDNEY!!!!!! SO EXCITED ABOUT SEEING SYDNEY <3333 It will be super fun fantastic times. My little brothers are coming on the 24th, and bringing me MONEY biggrin YAY. Then we have 4 more days in Sydney before CAIRNS. Cairns = great barrier reef. I can not WAIT to go swimming and find Nemo and be in the hot hot sun and have lots of fun beach time and looking at fishies time. I think I'm getting a rental car there so I will also be able to go into the outback! I havent been able to go to the outback yet sad But once I have a car~ Drive 20km inwards and you hit outback and nothingness everywhere you go in Australia.
Then on June 5th I get a magical flight home. Apparantly its a 26 hr ( gonk ) flight, BUT I leave at 5:30am and get to JFK at 5:30pm same day surprised Pretty damn magical, huh?
So the next 3.5 weeks will be exciting, magical, fun, and amazing (hopefully) biggrin Also, pretty busy which means I will not be on the internet much. I HOPE THAT DOESNT BREAK YOUR LITTLE HEARTS TOO BADLY sad
A lot of people have been warning me about reverse culture shock lately. Lets hope that doesnt happen <3 The last thing I want to be when I go home is depressed. If anything should depress me next month it should be the 6th HP movie, not the United States. For Sirius.

So apparently I'm not good at saying goodbyes. I've never really had to say goodbye forever to people I care about before so I didnt know that I would avoid it like the plague. Yay for learning more things about myself.
I leave Geelong tomorrow. A lot of my friends have already left. I havent managed to say goodbye to a single person. Most of the time I know its the lest time I'll see that person and then I just kind of leave and say "see you later! : D" and thats it. As if. I mean even though I do truly plan on going and visiting people realisitically it might be YEARS before that happens. It will definately be at least 1 year. My closest friends here live in Chile, Holland, Finland, Switzerland, and Australia. Those places are not exactly cheap to get to. sad
I've been waiting months to go travelling around Australia and now I dont even want to crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying I want to stay in Geelong, and at Deakin even though this school sucks a**, and never leave. Or better yet have everyone else tell me they are transfering to UNLV biggrin That would be magical. Ugh. Sad sad sad. Goodbyes for forever are not nice.
Anywho. Perth was fun. I went to the zoo, and Kings Park, and the Western Australia museum. I learned a lot about Aborigines! The Aussies treat their Aborigines like we treat Native Americans. Not cool. Except I personally think Aussies were a lot worse in some ways (not that I'm biased or anything ninja ) They had this act where they took all the light skinned aborigine children from their parents and put them in work houses where they taught them to "be white" and they never told the parents where they took the kids, and never brought the kids home, and told the kids false names so they couldnt even find their families when they turned 18 and left the work houses. The kids were taken at like 4 and 5 yrs old so they couldnt remember their real names or families names on their own. And this went on through the 60s D: And then the government refused to apologize for stealing all those kids until 2008. Lame.
I saw a wild fox! I was excited because I like seeing wild aussie animals because its so much cooler then seeing them in the zoo. Except foxes arent that exciting because there are foxes in North America too. But whateves, I was walking and it ran out like 2 ft in front of me then stood there and stared at me then ran away. I've never seen a fox that close up before so I guess its still pretty cool and stuff.
Tomorrow is Wicked~!! Then the next day Sydney. On Wednesday my brothers come. In like a week I go to Cairns to search for Nemo. Should be super fun times.

I'M GOING TO AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TOMORROW! I leave the hotel at 4:10am and take a bus to the aiport. Then I fly 2hrs from Cairns to Brisbane. Then I have a 2hr layover. Then I fly 16hrs from Brisbane to LA. Then I have another 2hr layover. THEN I fly from LA to NY. And then I go through customs and then I drive to CT and then I WILL BE HOME!!!!!
YAY ME!!!!!
And then after I get home maybe I'll update this and tell you about my last few weeks in Cairns <3 I went to Sydney and I went diving in the Great Barrier Reef, and had fun fun times!
