If Zephyiote said she'd been happier before, it would have been the biggest lie she'd ever told. Zephyiote was in heaven. Each step she took was light, bouncy. She felt like she could fly! Well...she already could, but that wasn't the point. It was...beautiful, wonderful, and...lovely. For she had Seiki with her. This out of the blue, random painter...who knew it was possible to feel such a way towards another? Never in her wildest dreams did Zephyiote ever think that she could feel this way.
But he was Seiki! He was perfect! He was amazing! Zephyiote loved him. It was kind of a shock to hear herself think those words, much less utter them, but...they were true. She didn't know any other way to describe her feelings to him. And it worked out so wonderfully, that he seemed to like her back! Truly this forest, this day, was magical.
She glanced at her companion, as they wound their way through the trees, back to his home. She blushed, offering him a shy smile, before she turned her head away out of a tad bit of embarassment. That emotion was new for her as well. But wasn't this a day of firsts anyway? Might as well go with her feelings and the flow, and see what was to follow of these new revelations and experiences.

His head was reeling as he made his way through the forest, everything felt so different now, as if those words, and the connection with her was all he needed to live. His body felt strangely out of place as he walked down the same path he had always used to get to his home. It didn’t feel the same anymore, it was new, it was new because she was here with him. A smile fluttered past his lips as he peeked over at her. She was still the same, wonderfully beautiful female he had met in the sky. Blushing softly at his thoughts he looked back at the path ahead of them, and a bit farther his little cavern he liked to call home.
It was going to be something, bringing home a rather large, female guest. He was almost worried about the meeting she would soon have with his companion Nora, and most definitely frightened to hear the embarrassing story she would more than likely pull up in the conversation. Looked back towards Zephyiote his smiled again, easing away and worry he might have had.
“We are almost there, just a few more feet. Here you will meet my dire owl companion, Nora, along with any stray animals that might have taken shelter here.” Again his head looked back towards the large grassy hill in the distance, waiting to be attacked by sharp talons from a rather annoyed bird.
Please don’t embarrass me Nora, not today.

}~{Hur hur...this are about to get strange xd }~{
Zephyiote looked forward to examining his home. Her life in houses consisted of Pan'Lun temples in the mountains. She'd never stayed in any other sort of house. This would be interesting! She wasn't counting on what was to happen next though.
Zephyiote, caught up in watching Seiki, and looking around, hardly payed attention to where she was going. Even if she was paying attention, she was likely to have tripped anyway. For the little blue and green blob that rushed out of the brush truely seemed to have a mind of its own.
"Hey!" Zephyiote yelled, barely catching herself in time to keep from falling, and nearly crushing the small form in front of her. It jumped up and down, chirruping and making furious arm motions with one arm, and holding an ear of corn in the other. It took Zephyiote a moment to comprehend what it was, but that only added to her confusion. A corn baby? Here? She looked to Zephy, confusion scrawled all over her features.
"Do you think someone lost it?" The small thing seemed to calm after a minute, and surveyed Zephyiote and Seiki in a sort of hazy pleasure. After a moment of muttering to itslef, it smiled up at Zephyiote, holding its corn out to her, proffering its most prized posession.
"What...do you think it wants?" Zephyiote felt a strange prickle run through her, watching the little thing. But why? What was this? This was so confusing! Hopefully Seiki would be able to alleviate her confusion a little...

He had been as confused as she was for a few moments as to what the thing was, but soon came to realize that it indeed was a corn baby. It was a strange sight indeed, seeing as corn babies were very uncommon in the area. As he watched the little thing hop around he turned his eyes up towards Zephy and smiled, it was hers...
“I do believe this is your corn baby… It looks like it is happy to finally see you.” Taking a step closer he examine the little one he nodded at her in assurance. It was definitely her corn baby, he could tell when a creature finds their bonded. The way they act and the fact that they were very attentive, plus the fact that most creatures hide from painters.
Continuing to watch the performance between the little corn baby and Zephyiote he smiled warmly, memories of the past and meeting Nora for the first time rushing over him. Shaking his head he smirked, that had been such a long time ago…
Snapping out of his little haze Seiki eyed the corn baby up before looking over at Zephyiote with a confused look. Why would it offer its corn to her, they only offer that if the female was pregnant or going to become pregnant. “….Ummm…. I am not sure. It wants to offer you its corn, but, they only offer that if…” He couldn’t say it out of embarrassment and looked down, only to then notice a small white coocoon fairy below him.
Excuse me sir… I needs you.

}~{Poor Zephy/Seiki xd }~{
Zephyiote tried her hardest to remain composed. She really did. But when she heard Seiki's explanation...it was an electric shock to her frozen state. Her eyes darted from the corn baby to Seiki, and she made no effort to hide the absolute horror that seemed to radiate from her. She trembled a little, blinking a few times, looking...quite startled, to say the least. "I...uh..." words were hard to come by. This was such a dream...surely all of this...Seiki business, and the beautiful river haven and cave. The chance at a new life...wasn't this a dream?
Whap!
The Corn Baby hit her on the elbow, scolding her in some foreign tongue for her lack of gratitude. After all, weren't mommy painters supposed to be happy at this sort of thing? Zephyiote was about to shoo off the small blue creature, when she heard the voice coming from nearby Seiki. Imagine her suprise when she saw that little coocoon fairy. A corn baby and a fairy! Really?
"You have got to be kidding me..." she whined, but the tingling sensation still lingering in her elbow joint destroyed that notion before it could gain any founding. No, this was as real as it got. Rather than bother thinking about the Corn Baby, she scooped it up in one hand, and cradled it against her chest. A gesture it didn't seem to mind, as it shut its mouth and silence took the place of inane ramblings. She turned her attention to the Fairy, a few of her torso eyes glancing at Seiki, trying to gage his reaction to all of this.
"Can it wait?" Zephy asked the small creature. "We are in the middle of something important." And indeed they were. If this Corn Baby was here because of the real deal...this could be the biggest event in her life! What would Seiki think? Would he...leave her? A whole new wave of fear manifested itself, rearing its ugly head and tearing at her heartstrings. She loved Seiki. She didn't want him to leave.

( xD Things are going to be very interesting indeed. Oh, and if you would like me to just make the speech colored I will do that for ya. )
She looked horrified, she truly did. Watching every moment of her realization and horror caused Seiki’s heart to flutter in fear. She wasn’t going to run from him now, was she? Watching her with terrified eyes he held back the tears that were starting to develop. He had no reason to cry, she love him as he did her. She wouldn’t run away… right? Shaking his head to knock the thoughts out of his mind he looked back at her with pleading eyes before staring at the corn baby.
All he could do was laugh, how the world seemed to be having a rather fun time throwing curve balls at them. First a corn baby appeared for some strange reason and offered Zephy its corn, for what, he hardly had to imagine. Now a fairy needed his help. Looking up at Zephy he blinked several times, eying her torso where many eyes stared back at him. He smiled weakly at her before looking back at the little fairy.
“Umm... I am sorry. We are both very busy at the moment…” He offered a polite smile to the little creature, feeling badly for not being able to help the little one out. Had they not been swamped by the little problem they now had he would have rushed to help her.
A scowl formed on the dainty fairy’s face before it flew up and bopped Seiki on the head. It would so not take no for an answer, not now, the little egg it was to watch was being warmed by some rude starry owl. “NO. COME NOW.” The little fairy hissed as she zoomed about the males head before glaring at the silvery Pan’Lun. She so wasn’t going to be blamed for allowing a stupid owl to take care of, or hurt the egg. “….Please?”
He could hardly believe his ears, was this fairy seriously yelling at him? Looking over at Zephyiote with a bewildered look plastered to his face he shrugged. Whatever the little fairy needed she obviously wanted it done now. Again he laughed at the cards fate had dealt them. “Something is having fun with our lives…”

}~{No worries, you don't have to color speech. I just do it out of habit >.<}~{
Zephyiote eyed this seemingly crazed little butterfly thing. She felt unusually grumpy at the moment, though for good reason. If it wasn't for the pleading sincerity in the creature's voice, she would have dismissed it and moved on. As it was...she felt compelled to listen. Something really was bothering this creature. It appealed to her better nature, and to her curiousity. She wanted to find out what it was so excited about.
"Indeed," Zephyiote murmured, not really hearing herself. This was some strange adventure. Some twisted wonderland. What was around the corner? A chimaeve? Who knew.
"I think we should follow her..." Zephyiote finally concluded. As pressing as the corn baby issue was...either way, pregnant or not, it could wait. This creature seemed to have a cause that warranted immediate attention.

Seiki glanced over at Zephyiote for a quick moment before nodding. The faster they dealt with the fairy, the faster they could figure out what was going on with the corn baby. Returning his attention to the little terror in front of him, he sighed in defeat. He would have to stifle his curiosity about the mysterious corn baby for later and see what was going on with the fairy.
She seemed agitated by the presence of the fairy, he could almost feel it as he moved closer to her, the fairy following close in pursuit, glaring the entire time. They had said they would help after all. “Will you be okay?” Silvery blue eyes twinkled lightly as he continued to close the gap between them ignoring the little terror beside him, eyes shifting down for a second to stare at the little blue corn baby before flicking back up. “…you seem… upset.”
The fairy continued to follow closely, her face growing more and more agitated by the minute before it suddenly shouted, “FINE! I will wait, but you better come soon, it will get cold otherwise!!” and took off towards the cave where Seiki resides.
A brow arched as he watched the fairy slowly fade away in the direction on his home. What in the world was wrong with that fairy? She was so very impatient; it was almost crazy to him. Shaking his head and chuckling at her actions his eyes glittered before slowly returning to a dull shine. He was worried about Zephy, he truly was.
“If this…” he began, propping his body up to get a better look into her eyes. “If this is the real deal… then I am ready for it. I will protect you and the children, and never, ever, abandon you…” He spread his arms out wide before wrapping them around her gently. They needed to talk, he knew it.
As she continued to fly faster towards the strangely decorated home she stopped suddenly. There was no getting out of her mess up this time. She was most definitely going to be yelled at by not only the council of fairies, but constantly picked on by the Mythic Ember Salamander, Yac. Looking at the owl, and then towards the salamander she sighed. This was going to be one hell of a fight.

Zephytiote stared at the ground for a moment, but smiled and leaned into his hug with a sigh. "I do not...know. I am plagued by confusion. If this...if this is the real thing..." she shivered a little, but not out of cold. Her eyes flickered back up to Seiki, pain and questioning riddled throughout them. "More than anything I think I am...afraid. Afraid of what could happen. I could never forgive myself if...if...what if...one of them, or all of them, were freaks, like..." Me
She chewed her lip, deep in thought, but she was obviously trying to put on a good face. She had to be strong, if this was really what was to come. "And I am not sure what to do...I do not remember anything of my childhood...I only hope that...that if indeed this does come to pass...that I will know what to do."
Zephyiote stroked the CornBaby a few times, before regarding it seriously. "Little fellow...am I pregnant?" The creature let loose a series of high pitched squeaks and shrills, and gestured to try and give its corn again. Zephyiote froze up a little, blinking a few times before she gathered herself to say anything. "I guess...we know what that means..." she gave a weak little laugh. She leaned against Seiki more, trying to warm herself in his grasp, for suddenly she felt startlingly cold. "Seiki...no matter what happens after this...I do love you..." She swallowed, and readied herself. "We should probably be getting to the cave. That fairy sounded anxious and...maybe we can talk more about this subject there..."

Pulling away for a moment eyes bore into hers as she confessed her secrets to him. She was so conflicted about the whole thing that it broke his heart to watch her struggle. Pulling the female into a tighter embrace he rubbed her back lightly, easing the pain with his fingertips. Their children wouldn’t be freaks, they would be gifted with amazing qualities like herself. Kissing her ear to comfort her, a small sigh fluttered past his lips before he whispered lightly. “Freaks… why would they be freaks? They would be gifted with your uniqueness and abilities. No, they wouldn’t be freaks, they would be wonderful children. Our children.”
Pulling away, he looked the female over, smiling at her beauty before nodding his head. “Heck, they are going to be some beautiful children if they look anything like their momma.” A coy smile lit his face before he took another step back. “…and they would have a great mother . Very skilled and strong. You will be wonderful.” His tail flicked back and forth as he stared at her, blinking at her eyes and smiling to himself. Those eyes were absolutely amazing.
Listen to her whispers about the past Seiki’s eyes saddened, it was indeed quiet troubling that she couldn’t remember her past, but he knew that she would learn quickly. Instinct was a powerful thing after all. Placing a paw to his face the male stood, watching over her before frowning. “You know… I don’t really think I remember what it was like being raised myself…. I just remember that they kicked me out and into the jungle at a very young age.” Tapping his mouth once he looked back at her. “Ya’know… I think this happens with all parents. We will surely be fine. We balance each other out, and just think, if they do inherit your eyes they be less likely to hurt themselves or get hurt!” With a quick lift of his back legs the male stood as tall as he could, kissing her forehead gem gently and whispering the words ’I love you’ softly on her head before placing himself back on the ground, attention quickly shifting to the corn baby in her arms.
As he waited, his heart race in his chest. The more it squealed and chirped the harder it beat and the more his stomach churned. It wasn’t from sickness, no, this was anticipation. Her pressing against him only fueled the need to hold her, which he quickly did. He wouldn’t let her go, never. “As do I. I will protect you from the word, and our children as well.” His mind was swimming with thoughts as he held her. He would have to baby proof the cavern, make toys, gather food! A smile spread across his face at the thought but soon vanished. …where would they live?
Hearing her voice caused his thoughts to dissipate like smoke. The fairy! Yes, he would have to check that out. He would talk to her about living arrangements later, right now, however, he had more important things to worry about.
What kind of mess is waiting for me at home now.
The fairy stared lazily at both the ember salamander and the dire owl, both had already given her one hell of a tongue lashing for leaving the egg unattended. It wasn’t like it was fun to watch and egg anyway! Glaring at the two for a moment she stuck her tongue out at both only to receive a lashing from the salamanders tail. “Ow! Man, why is it always my fault?!”
The cold look of the ember Salamander stopped the little fairy from speaking anymore. Snorting in defeat she looked up at the owl then down at the egg again.
“Did it… did it just move!!!”

Zephyiote leaned against him, nubbing her head against his neck, as if he was an eraser to all the conflict. And in a way, he was. Those soothing words. His utter sincerety. He really meant what he said. No child of hers would be called a freak. No child of hers would be thrown out into the jungle. She would love them. Care for them. Provide for them to the best of her ability. Wasn't that what mothers were supposed to do?
Indeed. This would...they would make this work. Seiki was right. They would compliment each other. He would help them in ways she couldn't, and vice versa. They would be quite a parenting team, wouldn't they! Zephyiote found it in herself to smile, if only a little.
"I love you too, Seiki," she whispered in earnest, as if it was the answer to all of their problems. And, in a way, it was. She couldn't do it alone. But she wasn't alone anymore, was she? They had each other for support. When she faltered, Seiki was there to catch her. She would do the same for him. Was this what it was to be in love? This unerring confidence and love in one another? This utter selflessness? Maybe. Zephyiote was unsure about a lot of things in her life. But her feelings for Seiki...those were most definately real. As real as the earth beneath her feet and the sky above her.
"I suppose we will just have to find out, then?" she questioned, in reference to the fairy. Corn baby in hand, she took a few steps forward, before looking back to Seiki, an aloof, teasing smile on her face. "You'll have to lead me though," she laughed. Oh the absurdity of it all! But...none-the-less...it was lovely.

His scaled face twisted into a soft smile, the whispered remedy that was love caused his heart to beat wildly and all he could do was sigh about it. It was strange that love caused his whole body to ache but it wasn’t a bad thing. No. She was his fire and he had to keep her close. Keep her safe, keep her happy.
Touching his fingertips to her cheek lightly he let them perch there for a couple seconds, watching her facial expression. He paused watching her mildly until she eased out of her tense state. His fire would be calm, not wild and afraid.
“I wouldn’t ever be able to express how strangely pleasing it is to hear to say that. No matter how many times you happen to say it.” Powder blue eyes peeked down at the corn baby before he turned abruptly away from her. They had to get going. If he stared at her any long he would be on the path to home all day! He could speak with her later about all of his emotions later.
Taking a quick look back the celestial dragon winked, tucking his wings in quickly as threw himself onto the ground mouthing the words. ‘Race ya’
Not even allowing the female the time to digest what was happening Seiki rushed forward. His dark paws clawing the earth as he moved closer towards his home. He had learned that the faster he moved the less likely he was to get distracted by something. It would keep her mind off of the situation as well, if only for a little bit. Gliding gracefully between leaf and wood, rock and mud, light suddenly hit at his back causing his scales to shimmer brightly, the white spotting acting like reflectors to the sun, scattering its rays every which way. He was home.
“This…” the male spoke slowly regaining his composure. “…is my home. Welcome.”
His eyes viewed the area around him. It was most certainly strange how he had found the perfect spot to live. Almost as if God had created the cave and the field for him.
The large hill partially hidden by the jungle trees faced towards the west away from the river. Its massive figure covered in grass, vines and a mess of decorations created by the dragon himself. Its entrance a wee bit small, but once one would enter they would find that it was very deep and roomy. Filled with pots, a small stone oven and a large nest area.
Just to the right of the entrance there were several large pots turned upside down with holes of various shapes and sizes cut into them. Little homes for orphaned creatures. His way of giving back to the world since it had most certainly given to him.
Looking to the left of him he smiled at his garden. He would soon have to start planting more seeds if Zephyiote was indeed pregnant. Brows furrowing he looked back towards her. “Your home is my home.“ He glanced over the lands once before noticing the scene in front of him.
Not only was Nora huddled on the ground staring, there were two other strange object on the ground. One that looks strangely familiar…
---------
The tiny head of the white moth fairy quickly whipped around when she heard the two coming. He was finally here! Great news, great news. The dragon was coming and it wouldn’t be by itself either! Darting into the air, the tiny winged female quickly rushed at the two dragons pointing frantically at the egg which was moving about, small cracks starting to form on its surface.
“Come come come come!!! The egg will hatch soon and it needs yous.”

Zephyiote loved the softness of his touch. The gentleness with which he regarded her. As if she were to be preserved. She was hardly delicate, but, it was nice, to feel like he cared. This was as pleasant as it was new to her, and she adored it. She was still floating in dreamland as he winked at her, and it took a mment for his words to sink in. 'Race...ya?' She stood there for a moment, looking puzzled, before she really realized what was happening. Oh! A race! She tossed the corn baby up on her back, and she leaped forward, paws furiously pushing her forward, as she tried to catch up. But it was hard to keep her mind off of Seiki. The way his skin sparkled in the sun, refracted the light; as if he had a million tiny crystals buried in his skin. She was practically drooling.
It was no suprsie that she lost. She hadn't expected to win. It was fun just to run! And if losing meant she'd get to be with Seiki...she'd take losing any time. She came to a loping halt, slowing down to stare at the cave. It was...amazing. It was nice and roomy, and pleasantly decorated. It was a mixture of home and nature, neither intruding, simply working together to produce something wonderful. She had never seen anything like it. It smelled faintly sweet; an alluring concoction of fruit and Seiki's own scent. What a pleasure it would be to stay in a place like this! Their own little world just the two of them...or not. The corn baby squeaked a little on her back, and brought reality crashing back down, and when she looked around Seiki, to the frantic fairy...was that an egg! Zephyiote's eyes widened, and she froze. There was an egg! And it was hatching!
Stepping around Seiki, Zephyiote padded a little closer, sniffing the egg lightly, careful not to touch it. She wheeled around to face Seiki, alarm once again starting to flicker in her eyes. "What do you propose we do?" she turned back to the little brown egg, mothering instinct kicking a little, as she squirmed in place, driven by instinct to do something, but held back by inexperience and confusion.
The corn baby squeaked excitedly at the appearance of the egg, not seeming to register that it's chosen painter was in distress. It slid off of her back expertly, as if it'd done it its whole life, and tottered over to the egg, which it patted, and then squeaked unintelligble instructions at Zephy, pointing to the egg, and then to Seiki, and back at the egg. Zephy stared at the little blue baby, bewildered. This was...as strange as it got.
