Any ideas on what to do when your fish won't eat?
I just had two fish starve themselves to death... not only does it suck, but it's expensive!

what kind of fish do you have? and does it try to eat and spit the food out or show no interest in food at all? usually when a fish doesnt eat its sick you have to figure out what is making it sick and then fix that.

Well, first I had a bristle nose pleco, but I can't tell you much of his habits.... then I had a blue gourami.
The blue guy was weird. He was fine when I first put him in the tank with my two platties, but not long after my pleco died he stopped eating. He would not go to the surface to eat, and when he did, he usually didn't 'catch' the food. When I fed blood worms, he would eat them as they sink past him..
I didn't see the platties harass him much and the two platties are as happy as can be. (the gourami recently died though)

Well, it turns out the problem was that it was a gourami and had some sort of 'disease' that just happens (they will get it from the fish farm).
