Sorry just have to vent this out really fast! My stand partner in pit orchestra is being a complete jerk! he's so full of himself because he got 1st chair at all state and thinks he's better than everyone else (even though half our section in regular band didn't try out!) I just got a new horn, and i went from having a naturally flat horn (cause it was huge) to a naturally sharp horn (cause its actually a normal size now) and he's being a huge jerk on how I'm having a hard time tuning to him! First of all he is always sharp, second I got this instrument not even a week ago! I have a right to be mad right? cause at least I know I'm out of tune and am trying constantely to fix it!!! and it doesn't help that he can't tune himself either!

That sounds like one of the guys in our band that never shuts up! Except our guy will talk smack about us, and then when we say something back to him that is just as insulting, he'll get mad and tell a teacher! What a hypocrite! I'm glad that he always got in trouble and sent out of the band room, then we could actually start playing some music.
