Pilots control giant humanoid mechs called Mobile Suits in combat. This pieces of advanced technology are the crucial tools in the escalating war between the Earth and the PLANTs as well as with other groups.

The selection of mobile suits available to pilots is restricted based on the faction that character is supporting. The selection of suits will be limited at first, however as the story goes on, newer and more advanced Mobile Suits may become available and the player can upgrade to one of these newer models, (though I ask that you PM me of your intention to do so that I will be able to make the changes in your profile, and you will need to have a reason within the story for your intended upgrade. i.e. You are given a newer model as reward for rare valiance, or your character's skills seems to fit better with a different design than the one the character was previously designed) based on how available they are to the characters.

However, there is an exception to the rules of receiving mobile suits. A player or NPC could possibly give a different mobile suit to a character, for example one that is more advanced or from a different faction than that character's, to a character (possibly even a Gundam if that player is extremely lucky), or under different circumstances, a character might get an opportunity to steal a mobile suit from a faction opposing theirs, and use that as their assigned mobile (Again, PM about any changes in the pilot's mobile suit.)

Earth Alliance suits:

Earth Alliance pilots are currently able to choose from:

The Strike Dagger:

Standard Strike Dagger equipment: The basic equipment for a standard Strike Dagger includes a beam saber, a basic beam rifle, and a shield with anti-beam coating to help defend against both physical and ballistic attacks and beam weapons, though the shields can only handle a limited amount of abuse from either attack. The Strike Dagger also has a pair of light "igellstellung" machine guns in its head for last resort defense and for removing hostile missiles, as they do not do much damage.
Other Notes: Unlike the strike Gundam, the Strike Dagger which is based from the Strike Gundam's design, is not compatible with the striker packs, but is a simple, lightweight and agile, easy to produce model that is easy to handle. Its operating system is natural friendly.

The Duel Dagger:

Standard Duel Dagger equipment: A basic duel dagger is equiped with two beam sabers, as well as a high powered energy rifle with a grenade launcher attached.
Standard Optional Equipment (This does not count as a modification): A Duel Dagger can be equipped with special "Fortresta Mode" armor. Which provides additional weaponry and defense to the mobile suits, including a shoulder mounted cannon and a an 8-barrel missile launcher. Fortresta Mode's are currently in short supply and very few are available that are not already in use. All Duel Daggers carry hardpoints for shields on the arms, though the shield is considered optional equipment on even a duel dagger equipped with a Fortresta Mode. Duel Daggers can use the same shields used by Strike Daggers, but they are mostly seen using shields of the design used by the original Gundam Earth Alliance units, but both kinds are laminated with anti-beam coating and the design differences are mostly cosmetic.
Other Notes: The duel dagger is a simple unit, but is has a heavily powered armament. The duel dagger has heavier armor and weapons, but lacks a shield as a part of its standard equipment, lowering some of its defensive ability a bit. When equipped with the "Fortresta Mode" it gains a significant increase in offensive and defensive capability, as well as better movement in space combat, but on earth due to the additional weight of the armor it loses maneuverability when equipped with the "Fortresta Mode." The operating system is also set up for natural-friendly use.

ZAFT Mobile Suits:

ZAFT pilots are currently able to choose from:

The GINN:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Standard GINN equipment: The basic GINN is equiped with a Machine assualt Machine that fires powerful explosive shells, and a heavy blade for short melee combat.
Optional weapons: A GINN can wield either a short-range Guided Missile launcher, a Heavy Energy cannon, or a 500mm recoilless bazooka, in place of the standard machine gun.
Other Notes: The GINN is a sturdy dependable model, that has been used since early in the war. The GINN is heavily armored, and has strong thrusters in its "wings" but the GINN handles a bit clumsily in Earth's atmosphere, and needs a special hovercraft known as a GUUL for long range movement. Despite the disadvantages brought on by Earth's gravity, a Coordinator can still effectively fight against the new mobile suits of the Earth Alliance, though the beam weapon used by the opposing suits, does pose great challenge. GINN's like other ZAFT mobile suits can only be piloted by coordinators.

The DINN:

Standard DINN equipment: A basic DINN is equipped with a heavy assault machine gun of the same design as the GINN's, heavy anti-aircraft shotgun, and 24 launching tubes for small missiles, signal flairs, or other equipment.
Other Notes: The DINN is a slightly newer model mobile suit than the GINN, but has been in use by ZAFT for some time. The DINN is very fast and very maneuverable and unlike the GINN is primarily an air-based mobile suit, and its flight unit allows it to stay in the air indefinitely, based on its power levels. The DINN has no standard melee weapon or close range defense equipment, and must rely on its superior maneuverability.

ORB Mobile Suits:

ORB pilots are currently able to choose from:

The Astray:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Standard Astray Equipment: The Astray is equipped with two beam sabers, a beam rifle, and a shield similar to one used by Earth Alliance Mobile Suits.
Other Notes: The Astray is a simple, lightweight and agile, mass produced mobile suit, produced by the Moergenrote Corporation for the ORB military. The Astray fills a roll similar to the Strike Dagger in being a versatile mass-production type machine, but has superior handling and maneuverability, and a more advanced operating system. Astrays can be operated by either Naturals or Coordinators.

Mobile Suits for other factions:

Since the Mercenaries and the Junk Guild do not operate under an official system, they do not have specifically assigned mobile suits. Most Mercenaries are provided personalized mobiles suits from the faction they are hired by, though if they do happen to have a mobile suit that he or she has acquired outside of a contract (like stealing, salvaging, or purchasing of the black market), they will use their personal mobile suit on assignment, and can have suit from an faction. Junk guild pilots also will have have to acquire their mobile suits through non-standard means, such as salvaging, purchasing through arms bazaars, or have one giving to them (Junk Guild members do not steal weapons, they retrieve and repair discarded equipment from battlefields, thus why Junk Guild members are often referred to as Junk Techs.)

Junk Guild and mercenary characters who possess their own mobile suits, must include how they acquired their mobile suits, and cannot change their mobile suits for different models like standard ZAFT, Earth Alliance or ORB pilots can. They can, however, modify their mobile suits more extensively and thoroughly than ZAFT, Earth Alliance, or ORB pilots can.
