I do own my bassoon, and that's because my grandparent's are awesome and admittedly completely spoiled me with that.

But anyways, my college has more money than my high school for music stuff I guess because we have two nice rental bassoons. Fox Renard 240's to be exact. But then again the other two they had were old Lesher's that the people who had to play them hated.

The irony is my band director actually went to my high school and rented two bassoons from there. (we have a lot of bassoonists this year.) They're plastic Fox Renards and definitely not the best.
