Our cat Josie just got fixed. She is in the Dogs crate so her activity is limited and so the dogs can't roughhouse with her. When we first got her back from the vet she was all wobbly and falling over. Right now she trying so hard to get the E-collar off.

She got the E-collar off a second ago because she pulled the little string that goes through the loops out so we decided to try and put her collar around her neck through the loops and so far it has worked. Since this is her first night I am going to be getting up every now and then to check up on her.

Before (during christmas)

My dog Abby keeps going up to check on her every time she cries. It reminds me of when we first got Josie because She used to protect her. She acted like a mother towards and didn't even let us get to close.

Awww, Josie is cute xD I remember when my cat Sammy came home from the vet, after he got neutered, and he was very wobbly lolz. He was trying to walk but he kept on falling over. and now he is such a lovely kitty, Its like he just grew up lolz, from a kitten to an adult kitty. I love him to bits heart

Josie is very cute! Maybe she won't have to wear the e-collar long. I don't use them routinely, but many people do. Was she declawed also? I see she is using shredded paper litter. Keeping her quiet will help those paws heal better. Some pain meds will also make the kids wobbly.

I know she will feel better soon.

You did the best thing you could for her long term good health! heart

Happy V-day.

.-. I'm pretty stupid when it comes to animals and what does that cone shape thing do? keep the pet from scratching?

No she wsn't declawed we don't believe in that becasue then how would the cat be able to defend herself if she was attacked and she wouldn't be able to climb a tree to escape danger.

the shredded paper is because instead of the regular litter because the litter would be able to cut the stitches and possibly get into the wound

The cone is to keep the animal from getting to the wound and pulling out the stitches

I don't believe in declawing either, but do it because many owners would not own cats that are not declawed. I do try to talk them out of it though.

I have not had trouble with stitches and regular litter. I have never recommended changes with just a spay. Interesting. It is always interesting to see what other vets recommend.

I hope Josie is feeling better.

yea she doing better
shes mostly out of the crate and walking around so far the dogs haven't bothered her .

with the litter it's not cmpletely paper we put a little bit of litter underneath the paper so she would use it because she won't use her litter box if their is no litter in it or if its to full. we have to clean it out every other day and change the litter every weekend or else she wont use it.

I am glad to hear she is doing well. I hope her recovery continues. Most kitties are back on their feet pretty quick.

Shes already back to her normal crazy self. We don't keep her in the crate anymore she has run of the house unless were out then we put her in my parents bedroom. The dogs have been leaving her alone sso its all good for now. I'll post some more pics of her later on.
