What solos have you played for horn and what recordings do you have of it?
The solo I'm playing right now is Beethoven Sonata for Horn and Piano in F Op 17 Allegro Moderato. Its AMAZING RIGHT NOW! The recording I have of it is played by Barry Tuckwell. I really like his recording because it matches the style of the piece perfectly. although he does play a little sharp.

-Rock This Town
-[Meet] The Flintstones
-Misty
i also have a duet in Into The Clouds

The solo I'm beating myself to death on is R. Strauss's Horn Concerto No. 1.
It's soooooo pretty, though, but 16 minutes long... meh. Makes me practice more.
And the absolutely MUST have recording of it by H. Baumann, the best. Ever.

im probably worse than any of you at playing the horn. I just play whatever my teacher gives me... I played the james bond thing in class though.
its really hard. but i dont know if ive gotten better or something since last year.

I love it I wanna play the whole thing next year, but I feel like a copy cat lol

I'm playing one of the Mozart concertos (I can't remember which one and I'm too lazy to check :]). It's okay, not my favorite.

The mozart horn concertos are classic though, everyone who plays horn (or at least is thinking about going into horn) has played at least one of the horn concertos. I gotta admit though, they're pretty repetative. I played them for solo and ensemble 7th 8th and freshman year. I liked it 7th and 8th grade, but freshman year, I had like 3 other solos I wanted to play, but my horn teacher made me play one. =( I was sick of it! They are important to know though
