Ok I know this is in the tittle but IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE SERIES AND THE MOVIE THEN GET OUT OF THIS TOPIC! scream unless you wanna spoil it, then go ahead BUT DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU! scream So I finished the movie yesturday and I can't decide if I liked the end or not. When Edward was going back to the other side of the gate to close it I was like NOOOO! crying crying crying Then when Al came with him I was like awww brotherly love. Still I think at some point they should've found a way to go back home to their world. What do you think?

I agree with kevinwagoner. It would be interesting to see how they dealt with science and all and they should make another season to show that

But didn't Mustang destory the gate in the FMA world? Therefore, that would be a little difficult. Besides, I doubt Ed and Al would really care about being back home because (a) they've been reuinted and (b) they only have Mustang and his gang and the Rockwells to go back to. My impression was that Winry has accepted the fact that Ed would, most likely, not return.
I'm more disappointed that mustang and Hawkeye didn't get their own little ending.

ed says at teh end that they need to find the uranium bomb. wouldn't that just put them back to where they started in ep 1? if so, does that mean al has to shenanigan himself back into another suit of armor, or better yet, some kinda nazi robot with a cat fetish. that'd be legendarily epic. xp

I think it was probably better that they ended it that way.
Even though it was really sad crying
At least they have each other! Which was all they really wanted 3nodding

they are all good points but I do agree that they should have found a way back or told mustang to wait like 5 days so they could have a chance to rig something up to close the gate behind them you know it sucks that they leave everyone
but really what is with killing off Maes I cried he was totally amazing

I love the series and the movie, i just dont like the way the movie ended. . . i dont think they should have left their world! I think they both should have stayed where they could use alchemy! . . . But atleast theyre together this time, so thats good! Better than when they were apart!
