The elevator hummed down slowly as Miles let the days work mull over in his head. His tired reflection looked back at him from the closed doors and he stared at the man he saw there; well-dressed, handsome, a person whom he could barely recognize as himself. Every time he looked in the mirror, it was a reminder of his brother's shadow. Miles narrowed his eyes, and the face glared back, until the doors opened, chasing the thoughts away.
He was going to retire for the night; as far as his version of retiring goes. Usually at this time of night he would go to his room, to go over things on his laptop before going to sleep for a few hours. The bedroom was practically his second office anyway.
He sighed, a bit bored, wondering if he should go out that night instead. It would be good sport, to see what sort of woman he could pick up and how long he could have fun with them. He smiled to himself. That might be a good way to unwind... Drinking and sleeping around usually was. No, he decided, he would stay in for the night.
When he was almost at the door, the other elevator opened to reveal Kyrin. Even better. If there was anyone he enjoyed being around for conversation, it was Kyrin. Well, maybe not conversation as much as it was flirting; But that was what made it fun. It was friendly toying around and probably wouldn't go further, but the they still never seemed to miss an opportunity when they were alone.
As she approached, he turned around to give her a sly smile. She must have been back from training, no doubt. Her form fitting outfit was proof of it. He looked into the stunning blue of her eyes and said " Evening Miss Kyrin. " He tried to keep his own eyes locked onto her face, but it was hard to keep them from wandering. He was forced to lower his eyes instead, not wanting to offend her by staring.
"Evening Miles." She said with a smile. Unlike Miles, Kyrin looked him over slowly, her eyes lingering before looking at his face again. A handsome man in a suit was something she couldn't resist. She rested her katana gently on one shoulder. " Just finish work then?" Kyrin knew that Miles never actually 'finished work', everyone in the building knew that, so she'd asked the question as somewhat of a joke. Her dark hair fell around her shoulders as she talked to him.
Miles caught the sarcasm and continued smiling. " That depends on what you mean by 'work'. I can be free if you need me to be." He crossed his arms and looked at her from angle, eyeing the katana. " As long as you don't need anyone for target practice."
Kyrin laughed a little, "Oh, you're far to valuable to be used for that kind of target practice." She shifted her weight a little. "Calling it a night so soon?" She wondered aloud.
He wondered what other type of practice Kyrin would prefer to use him for.
" I could ask the same thing, but I expect even Kyrin Matsui gets bored with whatever nightlife could offer her."
"Alas, my cousin seems to think that I ought to be cooped up inside, so my nightlife is limited at times. He'll keep me busy rather then have me gallivanting around." She took a step closer to him now, "You're around the building a lot, what is it that you do to keep yourself entertained?"
As Kyrin stepped forward, Miles felt himself moving slightly closer as well. " I find the right person to amuse me."
He looked her straight in the face, smiling at his own boldness.
"Do you feel the need to be entertained?"
Her glacier eyes sparkled, "Do you feel like you could entertain me?"
" I wonder." He was leaning a bit closer than was safe for friendly conversation. Miles wasn't quite sure what would happen next, but was willing to take the risk, even if it meant a slap in the face." It depends on if you let me."
Kyrin closed the little space there was between them so that they were all but touching, "What do you do for fun?"
She wasn't backing off. Miles had been almost sure they would dangle each other along for more than this, but was enjoying the tension in the air nonetheless. He leaned down, inches above her lips and hovered there teasingly. He wanted to make Kyrin do it, or maybe just completely turn around and leave her hanging. The chase was the fun.
But now that he was so close, Miles was feeling too impatient to be a sadist. He couldn't refuse a prize so readily in front of him. He finally lowered his lips to hers, a light kiss to test the waters and feed off whatever reaction she gave back.
His boldness was not something to new her, but this forwardness from him was. The two always played games, flirted, it was a pass time, like bowling. Part of her, the smart part of her, told her it was a bad idea and demanded that she pull away but her body screamed otherwise. His mouth had the faint taste of smoke that was nearly concealed by the scent of chewing gum and in that moment, her body won out over her sensibility. She drew closer to him, if at all possible and kissed him back, pulling the kiss in a more sensual direction.
Miles was only pleased to return the favor, and was positive she could feel his mouth pull into a smile when she first kissed back. Eyes slightly open, he went with the flow of the moment, moving his hands up her sides; until a precaution screamed out from the back of his head. He didn't want to; but he pulled away from Kyrin hesitantly, and in explanation, looked over her shoulder to the security camera staring back at them. He looked down in a half-sigh, but continued to smile.
Locking eyes with Kyrin, he opened the door to his room instead, all but inviting her inside.
Ky looked over at the camera as well and was almost hesitant to join him in his room. The damage is done. She thought as she realized if anyone was watching the camera they'd have already seen. She moved into the room without any further thought about it.
